“Do not buy chicken thighs at any Publix. The last two purchases consisted of processed meat, and Publix advertises as thighs on bone. I AM DONE!!!! For the money Publix charges the quality of meat and produce fall below 2.0.”
“The romaine lettuce is always brown towards the bottom and they still put it on the shelves. I showed a worker and he agreed and took it off the shelf. Their prices are very high and the quality has dropped”
“This is the second time I had gastric distress after eating Publix cake. The first time was the tiramisu but I couldn’t imagine it being that, but this time it was the carrot cake. The abdominal pain followed by diarrhea made me aware it was from the cake.,unbelievable. Just last week the slices were BOGO, so this must have been the leftover cake. I have a cold so my taste buds are off. The cake was dry and it didn’t taste like the carrot cake I’m use to, but I thought it was because I have a cold. I’m all set and will not be buying cake from them anymore. Thank goodness I didn’t finish the whole slice of cake. I tried to upload a picture but it said unable to upload.”
“It is a concern overall that these big corporations are making a huge profit from consumer's already, but to force their employees to continuously ask for donations every day with each transaction is somewhat harassing. Don't mind giving to March of Dimes because it is a good cause but forcing it on your employees to ask your customers for a donation or they are reprimanded for not asking.
I told a cashier I already donated yesterday, are you going to ask me everyday would you like to donate? Was informed we have to ask or get in trouble. Trouble?
Publix makes enough profit to donate to March of Dimes on their own accord with their skyrocketing product purchases. A bar of Aveeno Soap has skyrocketed to $4.09 from $2.49, Dove Bar Soap to $6.49, All detergent to $15.99. Publix donate some of those proceeds from skyrocketing prices to March of Dimes and stop the harassing of your customers.
Publix prohibits any type of solicitation in their parking lot but then Publix do it inside their stores.”
“I went to your store in Palm Harbor and was given a guilt trip and attitude by my cashier when I couldn't donate to your charity. That was wrong of him. I was mortified!”
“How can you sell Tru Fruit chocolate covered bananas for $10? Price gouging is off the chain and you all should be ashamed. I've been a loyal customer for years but not anymore.”
“Stop selling sushi you obviously don't know what the f--k you are doing. Can't be a money maker you are too stupid! Just pissing off loyal customers.”
“How management in Chapin and Elgin stores have very good employees, show up everyday and work hard. When it comes to annual raise tells employee you missed days. Come to find out they were pto days, and tells employee, as they know they were pre-approved days off with time accrued for them, too bad cannot do nothing until next year. Same thing they said last year after screwing great employees out of money. Good luck keeping great employees that way. Hopefully management can do better than that. All them rumors of Publix as an great employer are going down hill.”
“Fed up with Publix. Purchased chicken thighs and the meat was white and dark meat on what appears to be a chicken leg bone. Done with Publix. Looking forward to Aldis opening soon in the Winn Dixie store location in Palm Harbor, FL GOODBYE PUBLIX!!!”

“Overpriced on almost everything. I only go there, because they have a particular cut of meat that other stores don't carry. There is a bone in the cut of meat. When I opened the package of the (overpriced) meat and turned it over to season it, the bone on the underside was at least 3 times the size of the side that showed in the package as well as a bunch of fat (it's not a fatty cut of meat). If I'm lucky, I might get a half a pound of meat from it. I'm on a fixed income, and I can't afford to throw money away on inedible product. Totally disgusted with Publix.”
“The Publix in Aiken is a mess. They are building another one, so that should relieve some of the overcrowding. My biggest complaint is about their self check out bags. Customers cannot get the bags apart because they have been to compressed and do not pull apart easily. It slows up the line, creates frustration and is counter productive to a self checkout concept. Their employees are aware of it and comment on it, stating that this happens all the time. Again, makes no sense. Find a vendor that is aware of these issue stand that will provide an easier bag to check out. Kinda simple, I think.”
“Working at Publix is definitely NOT a great experience. They hire you for 1 job and will just stick you doing other jobs you didnt sign up for. I got hired for a cashier and had to work in the bakery one night...never worked over there and never been trained to work over there. If you bag, you can be bagging a huge order but then the instacart phone rings and you get pulled away to take that out then a customer SWEARS something was bogo when it was actually buy TWO get 1 free and you have to stop to go check a price then another instacart order then go backs then cleaning and did I forget to mention cart duty?!! Which is a 30 minute rotation of bringing in carts. Then you might have to clean bathrooms or change all the trash cans, meanwhile back in the office the managers watch you on camera and critique your every move. They do however wave bye as they're leaving for the night. Then there's the lovely chores. Cleaning all the registers, sweeping, all while stopping to make sure customers dont have to wait in line. Its frustrating and exhausting. They constantly hire young kids and then all summer they call out because it's a pretty day and they dont want to be stuck at work but won't give the people who have been there their fair share of hours. The managers rotate like revolving doors and they will make you do 5 jobs at once instead of helping. Its like working in a factory with a nice green shirt and an apron.”
“publix does not show the nutrition labels to customers, this seems to be on purpose , because they had a lot of sugar in thei teas, but the one unsweet
I request they turn the bottles to show customers the nutrition labels”

“Just overall Publix has just become a second rate grocery store. Every time I enter to do weekly shopping, UGH!!!! Produce not fresh and on and on.
Sprouts is my go to now. Yes few more dollars, but quality counts.”
