“Love the scent of the Geranium & Ylang Ylang Keratin shampoo and the conditioner. I have not come across any other product that leaves my hair so soft and shiny as this. Have also bought it in the past for my granddaughters who also love it. So thought the smaller bottles would be an ideal Christnas stocking filler for them. Delivery time was once again very fast. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the package a week later to discover the contents were not what I was expecting but the Sweet Basil and Orange version! Too late to do anything about it; can only hope it is as good as their favourite. So this time ............... PRODUCT (based on past experience) 5* DELIVERY 5* QUALITY CONTROL 1* UPDATE: I reached out to Pure Lakes regarding the error in my order. Now just received a very courteous email from Jenny at Pure Lakes apologising for the mistake in the order and saying they were sending the correct products; to keep the ones sent in mistake as a token of their good will, and hoping my granddaughters liked the other product too. Fantastic customer service over this and totally unexpected. Well done Pure Lakes for good old-fashoned customer care which is sadly lacking so often these days.”

“Whilst I love the products you make, I think the packaging is really poor. I bought three items as gifts and each box wouldn’t stay closed, in fact they look like they have been used.”

“Hi - I'm sure the product is lovely but I can't review as was unable to pick the order up from your padlocked premises in Staveley. Who shuts the Friday before Christmas?! Had to get an emergency replacement present for my wife instead.”

“I ordered Bath & massage oil, Shower gel, hand & body lotion & hydrating hand balm. all had beautiful smells & the lotion & balm are very light. It took quite a time for delivery from the time I placed the order-5 days. But I am disappointed however with the shower gel. I could get no a lather up at all & have now started to use it as a hand wash instead : (”

“It was the first time I had ordered from them after being impressed with a small hand gel so tried. My order was not quite what I had asked for, so a bit disappointed I had requested rose and geranium showed gel and I got the grapefruit and lemongrass but I liked the scent of it anyway so kept it. It’s really refreshing and I feel literally squeaky clean after using it. I like the fact there are no nasty chemicals in there for my personal safety as well as our private sewer system with which, we have to be eco-friendly.”

“Ordered hand wash that i had used whilst our stay in Cumbria, loved the smell, box was damaged when it arrived and the website clearly stated that a complementary hand balm would be given to keyworkers, i noted this to the team who apologised and said they would ‘change the wording’ on the website as it wasn’t correct!!!-”

“I purchased the hair conditioner, body lotion, shower gel and dry skin cream. There is nothing wrong with these products but I didn’t find them particularly effective Or ‘special’ The body lotion didn’t absorb into my skin as well as I had hoped and the product seemed to separate a little after a while. The hair conditioner did nothing for my hair. Sadly I will not be purchasing again. I wish I could give a more positive review but I can’t”
