“Our trip to the Galapagos was a bucket list for me and Quasar made it the trip of a lifetime. Even writing the review two weeks later, it still feels like a dream. Quasar far exceeded my expectations and don't even know where to start - the ease of planning with Diane, the detailed itinerary and videos that got us excited for the trip, the beauty of the Grace yacht, the amazing crew - every single one, all the wildlife we were able to see on almost every outing, and the expertise of the naturalists. Most important though, was the time we spent as a family enjoying the magic of Galapagos together and the instilling of the love of nature and care for our planet for our 9 year old twins. Thank you.”

“+ Excellent trip + very good program (and a lot of outings per day) + nice and clean cabins, decent food, great barman + Excellent guides, knowledgable and enthusiastic - Wine menu needs improvement, too many unknown (and not very good) wines. There are so many good wines in Argentina and Chile available. It would be nice if the wine menu were selected by someone really understanding wines - Only person that I did not warm up to was the lead guide, Alex (?), who does not take criticism well”

We understand the importance of offering a diverse and quality wine selection, especially considering the great wines available from Argentina and Chile. The good news is that as of January 2024 we will have a brand new wine selection menu available aboard our yachts that has been specifically designed to include a broader range of high-quality options. As for your experience with our lead guide, Alex, we apologize if there were any aspects of his interactions that did not meet your expectations. “Quasar Galapagos and the Evolution exceeded my expectations. Our trip was great. We enjoyed our Naturalists and their extensive knowledge of the Galapagos and Ecuador. The excursions kept us very busy hiking, snorkeling and visiting interesting destinations, especially the sea lions and their pups. The food was delicious and the weather perfect.”

“It was an awesome Galapagos experience. Everything was expertly arranged and taken care of, from the time we landed in Ecuador until our departure. We highly recommend allowing Quasar to handle the organization of your land transfers and hotel accommodations. The Evolution yacht was delightful. The food was varied and delicious, and the crew was friendly and proficient. The guides were all exceptional in every regard. They were extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the Galapagos, from the history and geology of the islands to the air, land and marine animals that were on display everywhere. Above all, they were personable and engaging, and presented every topic in a very interesting way (nothing worse than boring guides!). The quality of the guides was a standout feature of this trip. Overall, we highly recommend Quasar as the top-tier way to experience the Galapagos”

“Our experience on the Evolution was outstanding. Our naturalists, Bolo, Alex, & Christina were professional, experienced, informative, caring, insightful, and best of all, fun! The staff of the Evolution couldn't do enough for all their guests; put a 110% effort into every day. The food was amazing!”

“Ecuador and the Galapagos were "bucket list" destinations. Our trip exceeded all expectations and we credit the Quasar team for this exceptional experience. From the pre-planning to the last drive to the airport, no detail was missed. Above all, we credit all of our outstanding and knowledgeable guides--in Quito, at Mashpi, at Napo and aboard the Grace in the Galapagos--with making this a truly remarkable experience. “Overall, it was a fabulous trip! First and foremost, all of our guides were incredible… Very knowledgeable, fun and understanding of group dynamics. Would not change a thing when it came to them! The planning too, provided by Quasar, was incredible. Patagonia itself is beyond words!! But the weather can be quite harsh and unpredictable. The guides and Quasar always had our safety first and foremost on their minds. For example, we were scheduled to go on a kayak trip on a day when it turned out to be snowing quite hard and blowing even harder. The trip was canceled at the last minute, and we were fully refunded. Our two suggestions are with regard to the amount of driving required and the food. It may have been better to stay at two different hotels versus always going back to our home hotel when we are in Torres del Paine. We spent hours driving each day, and although it was fun… It did get tiresome! And overall the food was disappointing. Breakfasts were good, and dinner was sometimes good, but lunches were generally marginal at best. We are aware that we were traveling in remote corners of the world, but it seemed that lunches could have been of a higher quality and variety. And we were hungry given all of the physical exercise we were doing during the day! One thing that did help offset the hunger that we felt during our excursions was the terrific cooler of treats that Quasar provided! Homemade brownies, trail mix, and hot beverages, were very much appreciated! We would not hesitate to book another trip with Quasar!”

Regarding your suggestions, we appreciate your input on the travel logistics and the food quality. We understand that sometimes the longer drives to and from the hotel in Torres del Paine National Park can be tiring. Unfortunately, due to the geographical layout of the park and the locations of the most iconic hikes and excursions near its eastern and western entrances, this is a common challenge. We aim to provide the most efficient and comfortable experience possible, but the park's vastness often necessitates considerable travel. We have taken note of your comments about the food, especially the lunches. Providing high-quality and varied meals is a priority for us, especially considering the physical exertion involved in the excursions. We're addressing this feedback with the particular hotel you used, to see how we can improve the dining experience. We're glad to hear that the cooler of treats provided by Quasar helped offset some of the hunger during your excursions, and we will continue to include such thoughtful touches in our trips. “We had a great experience with Quasar. Tasha guided us through the process of tailoring the trip for us. We loved the vastness of Patagonia,the Penguins, the people, Buenos Aires, and ending at the unbelievable Iguazu Falls. The Jeep experience was both fun and easy. It allowed us flexibility on activities depending on the elements. Would heartily recommend Both our agent Tasha and Quasar”

“Thank you to everyone at Quasar for a spectacular trip. We are still looking at photos and drinking great wine in honor of everyone we met in Chile and Argentina. Quasar's guides were ALL very knowledgeable, fun, and excellent in many ways. Rather than review 5 different guides, let me just say that if you ask for Ines W. in Valparaiso, Alwin in Santiago, and Tim in Patagonia, you will be very happy. Our transfers from place to place with Natalia and Martin were very smooth and effortless. All spoke excellent English and were very helpful with the many times we crossed borders, either at an airport or by car. I can't wait to book with Quasar again since I now am completely confident they will send superb people to make the travel experience that much better.”

“We had an outstanding expedition. Tasha was so great working with us from the very beginning. She got to know us a little bit and what we liked and what kind of adventure we were looking for. All of our excursions were very enjoyable and appropriate to our adventure level. We liked the hotels that we stayed in. The Jeep was perfect-That's how we like to travel being independent and being able to get where we want to go rather than travel in a large group or on a bus or van. Patagonia is wild and untouched, and I am so grateful we got to see it and Quasar was the perfect option for us”

“Quasar was a fantastic company to work with for our trip to Patagonia. My husband and I had been dreaming of a trip to Patagonia for years. I am very outdoorsy and love all camping and hiking expeditions, but my husband prefers more of the hospitality and food scene. We found Quasar and decided it was the best option for us to both get what we wanted. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We did all the hiking and adventuring I craved all while staying in beautiful hotels with spas and delicious food. They truly helped us get everything we wanted out of this trip and made it all really easy to achieve. I should also mention that a month before we were set to leave on our trip my husband sustained an injury that led to a surgery where he would be non weight-bearing for two months. We were devastated. We made the call to Quasar, and they worked with us to completely reschedule our trip for ten months later. We were so afraid to lose our chance to visit Patagonia, but Quasar worked with us to make sure it happened! They really were great!”

“Great trip with three amazing naturalists. Swam with sea lions, followed orcas, saw lots of marine iguanas, Galapagos penguins, flightless cormorants, blue-footed boobies, etc. Went on some very interesting hikes, kayaked, and snorkeled 5 times. Highly recommend the trip!”
