“We've been on the Quasar Expedition in the Galapagos, which was a once in a lifetime trip, but the Patagonia adventure was just as special. From the tour guides and locals, the luxe (and thoughtful) accommodations, cuisine and coordinating all the logistics in a seamless way for our group, I'd highly recommend Quasar for this special journey. “Our Galapagos trip with Quasar aboard the Evolution was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. The naturalists were very knowledgeable and clearly deeply committed to the place, the history and the restoration and conservation of the region. The food and service were superb. “The PERFECT way to see the Galapagos Islands. My wife and 2 adult children just went on the Quasar Evolution during Christmas week 2023. We can't say enough great things about Quasar, the staff and the boat. All aspects exceeded our expectations. Our trip started with a warm greeting at the Quito airport where Quasar staff quickly expedited our check-in. From that point forward, every aspect of the trip was handled with precision and expertise.”

“My Ecuador adventure was a trip of a lifetime and will never be forgotten. Every where I went in Ecuador was absolutely stunning and the service was better than anywhere I've ever been. The Galapagos was amazing but I was typically a little underwhelmed by the length of activities from the Grace. In almost every journey away from the boat I wanted to spend more time in the water or walking. The walks were a little repetitive and short for my liking. For that reason I wish I could have traded a day or two in the Galapagos for some extra days at Mashpi Lodge. Mashpi is my favorite vacation destination of all time. I don't know that I'll ever get the opportunity to go back, but certainly hope I can. Thank you so much for organizing this amazing 15 day adventure.”

We're overjoyed to hear that your trip was a memorable "trip of a lifetime" and that you found the beauty of Ecuador and the quality of service exceptional. It's fantastic to know that the Galapagos amazed you, though we are sorry to hear that some of the activities in the Galapagos did not fully meet your expectations in terms of duration and variety. This, unfortunately, is out of Quasar's control since all activities in Galapagos are set by the Galapagos National Park. Their role is to define when, where and how long each ship can spend at each location in the Galapagos, as well as which activities we are able to offer. Quasar maximizes our allotted time in the Park by typically offering 2 nature walks a day of up to 2 ½ hours each, two snorkeling outings of about an hour each, plus kayaking and dinghy rides. While these activities aren’t a challenging work out, that is how the Park has designed it so that guests can get up close to the animals and learn about them from your interpretive naturalist guides, while protecting the habitat. Finally, we are thrilled to learn that Mashpi Lodge was the highlight of your trip and your favorite vacation destination ever. We agree that all guests should add-on a visit to Mashpi to their Galapagos adventure to get an amazing and very well-rounded wildlife experience. We understand that it's not always possible to return to a place you love, but we sincerely hope you get another opportunity to visit. If you ever decide to embark on another adventure, please know that we would be more than happy to assist in organizing another extraordinary journey for you. “Excellent trip and very organized. We had a fabulous time. A few suggestions 1. If I remember, we had to fill all forms/passport info 80 days before trip. At around 100 days, we were told forms all needed to hold on to the excursions we chose. Stressful. 2. it was awesome every day we were told what to bring on excursions ie rain jackets, hat.,. But it would have been nice to know exactly what was provided. I brought waterproof shoes to kayak but not necessary as boots provided. 3. We had a time scheduled when you were going to pick up our jeeps. We were coming back from an all day excursion so it was going to be a close call. We hurried to meet a representative and then we got a message that you couldn’t make it so just leave keys. I know timing is hard but if it wasn’t important to meet face to face, maybe dropping off keys is the way to go.Special thanks for all the gluten free food provided for my daughter who has celiac disease. It made the trip! It sounds like we were disappointed but that’s far from the truth. WE HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIFE!! Thanks! Any questions or clarifications, feel free to get a hold of me”

“Our Patagonia Self Guided Safari was flawless, even down to the weather!! Quasar did not miss a beat the entire trip. The accommodations, the meals, the guides, the car and the itinerary all added up to the trip of my dreams. My husband and I loved the solo travel, particularly when we would see the big buses loading from the hotels in the mornings while we packed up our comfy Quasar Toyota. All the scheduled excursions were high quality with knowledgeable guides. Every meeting time was promptly met and as a result we never really had any travel anxieties. The ability to check in multiple times daily with our dedicated advisor for updates, new questions, advice and recommendations was an added and appreciated bonus. This trip was spectacular!”

“This experience was so much more than a vacation. Visiting the islands, with our guides Sophia, Walter, and Alex, was like having your favorite college professors along. All three of them grew up on the islands, and have passionately studied multiple topics. They gave us detailed briefings on the history, geology, geography, oceanography, weather, biology, wildlife, and plants of the Galapagos. They were very personable, humorous, and energetic on excursions. The guides were just as excited to see the animals as we were! Alex was assigned to those of us who were just learning to snorkel. He was especially kind and patient with us newbies and got us up and running with the rest of the groups quickly. Sophia was the youngest guide, but she by no means lacked knowledge. When out snorkeling with us, she would dive down with her camera and take pictures and videos of the sea life to media share with us later. Walter had the best ways of explaining and imitating animal behavior. Be sure to ask him to do the iguana head-bob!”

“Absolutely the most gorgeous, gracious and illuminating trip I've ever taken. The yacht was beautiful with thoughtfully comfortable staterooms. Meals were superb with chefs who used ingredients and herbs imaginatively. And the staff was educated about the Galapagos and made appreciation of the islands much deeper. Especially the naturalist guides explained the wildlife and terrain with a depth of knowledge that was unexpected and full of love for the Galapagos. Their guiding of the hikes, kayaking and snorkeling made the whole trip have a bigger impact. There is no place like the Galapagos and we were lucky to be there.”

“When I got back from the Galapagos, a friend asked, "Did you have a nice trip?" I had to chuckle. I wouldn't call this "nice" or a "trip". To me, it was an awesome adventure, an extraordinary experience! Snorkeling with sea turtles and sharks! Chasing after a family of orca! Sitting next to a sea lion that has climbed up into the boat! Incredible!!! I have memories to enjoy for the rest of my life!”
