“Our experience with Quasar in Patagonia was phenomenal! This was our first adventure with Quasar, and we definitely intend to go with Quasar again for our next expedition. My wife exhaustively researched tour companies, and Quasar came out on top. Tasha at Quasar satisfied all our "wants" for the expedition, and gave exemplary advice based on long experience in region. Our itinerary was bespoke, with the best mix of the rugged outdoors and comfortable luxury. Our guides became family while they were with us, and our memories and photos of Patagonia will stay with us forever. We can't wait for the next adventure with Quasar!”

“We had an excellent trip! Patagonia is unparalleled in majestic glaciers and glacial-carved mountains, the scenery was the best we've seen in the US (we've seen 62 of 63 National Parks in the US including all 8 in Alaska) and in New Zealand (where we lived for a year). Our Quasar guide was impeccable, she took care of every detail, made sure we took advantage of the best weather windows for our long hikes, and was a joy in every way. We would highly recommend a Patagonia trip with Quasar! I've submitted pictures of sunrise on the Cuernos peaks, Art at the Base of the Towers, A HUGE iceberg in front of Gray Glacier, our teeny tiny kayaks in front of Perito Merino Glacier (!), Art and I at Cerro Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre reflected in the laguna (it wasn't a bit windy that day, remarkable!), and me gazing at the amazing Cerro Torre on our last day. Magical!!!”

“We had a truly amazing trip to the Galapagos. Our trip was filled with several fantastic excursions every day on land and in water. The naturalists were very knowledgable and having a small group made it even better. The crew on the Grace was also outstanding. They attended to all our individual needs -- including creating a birthday celebration for my wife and making really excellent vegan meals to meet our dietary restrictions. The yacht was always clean and arranged in a way that you got to know the other passangers. I highly recommend Quasar. Every step of the process from providing information about the trip, booking the trip, helping with travel arrangements, and of course the trip itself was made easy.”

“Experience of a life time. The Grace is the perfect size as is the 16 passengers limit. Our sailing companions were delightful. In addition to lovely accommodations, attentive and friendly staff, the fact that we had 2 expert naturalists on board allowed us to get a comprehensive view of fauna, flora and geology of Galapagos. Hikes, snorkeling, on-shore visits were breathtaking. We maybe, would have like a little bit more time between activities? All in all the most wonderful voyage. Thank you Quasar”

“We had such a fantastic time on our trip to Patagonia. Honestly there is only two things we would have changed: 1. After driving 5 hours from Chile to Argentina we wish we would have chosen an activity offered at Eolo instead of driving an additional hour each way to go fishing. 2. The Mini Ice Trek on Perito Moreno was a total bust. Sadly we were aged out of the Big Ice Trek(who knew being in your 50s was considered old). The mini ice trek was unimpressive: - actual railings in the glacier and stairs carved out of ice to make it safer and easier to traverse - taking the trek out of trekking - dragged out way to long - could've easily done the whole excursion in half the time - hardly explored the glacier at all BUT - everything else was top notch. And our guide Anne was so fantastic. She fit in so well with our family and was so good and great at keeping everyone's different interests in mind.”

We apologize for the inconvenience of the lengthy drive for fly fishing. Your itinerary was customized to accommodate your preferred activities, including fly fishing. However, because of your activity-packed schedule, fly fishing was only possible on the afternoon of your crossing into Argentina and the prime fishing spots near Eolo are indeed an hour's drive away. We share your sentiments about the age limit for the Big Ice Trek being strict. This restriction is imposed by the insurance company for the activity, beyond our control. The Mini Ice Trek, designed for a gentler experience, aims to provide a safe introduction to glacier walking, though it might lack the challenge desired by more active hikers. We're glad to hear the rest of your trip was top-notch, and that Anne, your guide, made a wonderful addition to your family experience. We hope the authentic estancia experience was memorable, and that Adam enjoyed the private bird watching, especially seeing the rare mountain caracara and miniature rheas. “Perfection does not do justice to the experience my wife and I had with the Quasar team on the "Evolution" this year. Everything from the spacious cabin to the feel of the boat ( burnished history and modern tastefully combined), the empathy of the team and the professional and passionate guides resulted in the voyage of a lifetime. Guests can be a factor and with a sprinkling of teenagers and younger parents this trip had energy! Daily panga excusions after sunrise every day, a new adventure on or below surface, take your pick. Especially enjoyable after our sunset refreshment were the nightly updates by the guides, making the trip feel like a true adventure, with new routes and sightings to explore. The food was spectacular, bountiful and varied. Courtesy of the Captain we were able to observe a rare fissure eruption on Fernandina Island under the stars. The stand-up applause has to go to our three guides(take a bow Cristina, Bolo and Soto) who revved us up daily with accounts of Darwin et al. but at the same time sensitizing us to the sustainablity challenges that toursim brings to these fragile island eco-systems. The Galapagos Islands still evolve into the future , and for a small slice of time we all were privileged to have a seen a small part of this unique world, courtesy of Quasar and our time capsule, "The Evolution".”

“All I can say is WOW! We had the most spectacular trip on the Grace with Quasar. We spent several days in Quito and visited the Mindo Cloud forest and did a tour of Quito. Quito is a beautiful colonial city and we loved it! Our adventure aboard the Grace was was one of the most memorable trips we have taken. The crew was amazing, Captain Jorge was warm and welcoming, our cruise director Ariana was always available to help with any of our needs, Chef David and his staff served amazing meals and our bartender Xavier was wonderful. The crew and panda drivers were exceptional as well. Our trip was made extra special with Walter our expedition leader and Christopher our naturalist. We had 16 guests and between Walter and Christopher our daily activities, whether it was a hike, panga tour or snorkel, were always full of amazing information. And the activities ... where do I start ... when can you snorkel with penguins, sea lions. marine iguana and sea turtles that come so close you could touch them. The islands are stunning from the volcanic rocks to the tidal pools, there is so much to see and take in, its just breathtaking. The tortoises were special treat, we visited them in the wild and also at a breeding center on Isabella Island. We were also able to see the volcano on Fernandina Island erupting ! Hats off to Quasar for literally planning the perfect trip for us. We even got a call when we got home from Diane who helped plan our trip just to check in to see how we enjoyed our trip !”

“Our self-guided safari tour was amazing and so much fun. The planning with Quasar was smooth, informative and exciting and the execution even better. We picked the right hikes, excursions and add- ons and every day was an outstanding adventure. Patagonia throughout Chile and Argentina was more beautiful than one can imagine. “My recent Quasar tour of the Galapagos Islands was a truly memorable experience and probably the best trip I have ever taken! Not only was the scenery spectacular and the weather perfect, but the Quasar naturalists, chefs and took incredble care of all the guests. The schedule was perfectly planned with daily activities that included island hikes, intriguing explanations of the animals and vegetation unique to each island, a variety of snorkling venues, and a panga cruise with hundreds of dolphins in all directions. The snacks and food were incredible and ranged from delicate corn soufle to freshly caught grouper from the local fisherman - each meal was different and absolutely delicious. My recommendation - pland your trip ASAP!”
