“Thank you to Tasha, Natalie, and all the others for your guidance, coordination, and all of your efforts in making this southern Patagonia trip a wonderful experience for us. Your help with the initial planning was invaluable as were your reminders of payments due. The final itinerary that you provided was comprehensive and very informative, and being able to view it through your website and through TravelKey was really helpful. Daniela, our guide in Torres del Paine, could not have been better. She was pleasant, punctual, accommodating, extremely knowledgeable and a real delight to travel with. Our accommodations in Torres del Paine and in Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales were great. There was a little confusion on our first evening at the Lago Grey Hotel restaurant regarding what was included with our stay there, but the staff remedied that and took good care of us. All of the transfers that you arranged were excellent and on time. Francesca, who accompanied us from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales and back provided us with a lot of history and local knowledge. She was very pleasant, accommodating and helpful with our logistics. Thank you also for coordinating the second part of our trip, on the Stella Australis. It made it very easy for us that Quasar handled the reservations, ticketing and payments for that. A nice final touch was the note from Rodrigo about the Carbon Fund partnership and Reforest Patagonia. It was uplifting to hear that Quasar partners with those organizations. Our travel companions had used Quasar before, but this was our first experience with them, and it was truly exceptional! Thanks to you and your colleagues for all of your help in making this a very special, enjoyable and memorable trip for us.”

“We boarded the Evolution 2.27.24 and a whole new world opened to us. From aft to stern & beyond, every detail was planned and seamless. Much excitement (dare I say some challenges) ensued. The staff from Captain to our housekeepers & towel people-makers, we felt safe and cared for, any request or need was met. Our fellow adventurers were a delightful, eclectic bunch. While all were from US, we had a good mix of seasoned hikers, athletes and photographers and enough "just here to see and do"-ers that we felt comfortable. Many fascinating stories over the nautical miles both aboard the Evolution and in our pangas. We were "homesick" for our peeps for a few days after we left them in Guayaqui to finish our trip in Lima Peru. Orcacs, sea turtles, iguanas, blue booted boobies, tortoise, frigates, flightless comorants, sharks (swimming among us as we snorkeled, not impressed bu us), pink lacy crabs, oyster catchers, sea stars and so many more appeared throughout our 8 days asea. Plus the Evolution crew bested the Grace crew in a Futbol match 1/2 way through our trip - much excitement. With the help of Diane and Paul Schicke, we spent 4 days at the Le Selva Eco Lodge on the Napo River before we joined the Galapagos trip. It's become one of our biggest surprises and delights. It was an excellent orientation to following the animals day and behaviors, sharpening our observation and listening skills; keeping quiet and simply "being" in the jungle. Again every staff member was professional, engaging and super willing to accommodate any request with a smile. Would strongly recommend this intimate, just-right wilderness adventure in the rain forest. Our canoe occupants from Le Selva were laughing and retelling our stories on the 2.5 hr motorized canoe ride back to Coca airport. Other lodges' guests were on their mobile devices, appearing bored!! This trip was recommended by friends 1 year ago to us and we will continue to recommend this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you Quasar.”

“Our Quasar vacation surpassed our expectations. We had an amazing time and had such unique experiences. We planned out the trip with assistance from the Quasar staff, and their recommendations were spot on. Starting with the Hotel Patio Andaluz - in the heart of Quito's "old city." With news reports, we were wondering how safe we might feel. But I can honestly say we felt very safe and were totally comfortable in the city. The hotel was walkable to many sites and restaurants. We also took advantage of a Quasar organized personal guided tour to Otavallo - well worth the day trip and quite different from the city with its highlands terrain, indigenous artisans and a street market. Going through customs and the various transfers was a breeze, with Quasar support. The Galapagos portion of the trip - that is why we came to Ecuador after all - was truly a once in a lifetime experience. So many animals - from orcas right beside our panga, to thousands of blue footed boobies and pelicans, to snorkeling with sea lions, penguins, sea turtles, schools of fish, marine iguanas, and then being up close and personal on land with giant land tortoises, as well as the unique geologic formations that make up each island.”

“We landed in Quito and the adventure began! We had an amazing time in Quito. The food, Illa Hotel, the chocolate tour, our tour guide that showed us the old city of Quito. Amazing never did we feel unsafe, everyone so kind and friendly. Quasar did (Diane) an amazing job lining up our stay in Quito, from transportation to and from hotel, to our tours in Quito and our pick up at the airport with a guide who helped through customs. Ok there are no words to say how amazing Galapogos was, it is a must experience! The guides aboad the Eveolution were so knowlageable! They really got to know the group and know our interests. Shout out to Gabby she was just as excited as we all were when we got to "run" with the dolphins- something none of us will forget! The snokeling honestly felt like you were scuba diving! This was an unforgetable trip!”

“The trip aboard the Evolution was fantastic. The hospitality and welcoming smiles of the crew set the tone for the entire week. The naturalists were a wealth of information on the islands, animals, and birds, sharing their knowledge with us and making sure to take the time to linger whenever nature presented an unplanned sight to enjoy. The meals were fresh and delicious, the ceviche was my favorite! I enjoyed the relaxed and intimate atmosphere of a smaller ship and the friendships that formed while sharing this once in a lifetime adventure. I would highly recommend this Quasar trip to anyone interested in traveling to the Galapagos.”

“Excellent trip to the Galapagos. Room was bigger than I was expecting for me and a friend (2 twin beds), very comfortable, excellent food, friendly and knowledgeable naturalists. The majority of guests were 55+, but two mid 40's felt very comfortable and engaged. Lots of activity- nature walks, snorkeling, kayaking in the beautiful Galapagos. Highly recommend!”

“One of the most satisfying andventures of our life was the time we spent in Patagonia. Each day brought amazing sights and new adventures in the grandest of landscapes. Patagonia does not disappoint. Lots of small things added up to the best imaginable trip. The entire Quasar Expeditions staff made our whole experience a smooth and seemless process providing excellent advice and service from beginning to end. They took the time to really understand our needs and wants to provide an outstanding trip. Quasar went above and beyond in reponsiveness and flexibility. Their knowledge and expertise were invaluable in making this trip possible. One of the most pervasive mythologies in the region: that anyone who eats a Calafate berry will return to Patagonia’s captivating landscapes again. We made sure to eat plenty of berries. The only regret to our 11 day self-guided excursion is that we couldn't say longer. "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere" - Vincent van Gogh”
