I booked a move through Quick Man and Van on 25th April 2026. During the move, £3,000 in cash was stolen from my bag by the driver they assigned to my job. I reported this to the company and their response was to simply tell me to contact the police and state they could not take any action against the driver. They have made no attempt to investigate, suspend the driver, or provide insurance details despite being asked. This platform takes no responsibility for the conduct of the drivers they send to vulnerable customers in their homes. I am a solo female who was taken advantage of during a stressful move. The matter is now in the hands of the police. Use this platform at your own risk.

Changed van man twice on the same day when I had specifically chosen a company for their expertise; they change to people who are way less competent and inefficient going overtime as a result charging half the paid for price normally, yet still demanding the same high price. Further I had to suffer from foot fracture as an attempt to help his inefficient move. Unreliable service

Very disappointed with the service. I had booked a Luton van with driver and 1 helper to arrive at my house in Cardiff for moving at 4pm. They charged me £70 at the time of booking. I was told on the morning of the house move that the driver cancelled the booking and that the only other driver available is for 2pm. I accepted this change. However, neither the driver, nor the helper arrived. After waiting 1 hour, I called their office at 3pm, where the receptionist Ana said she will check with the driver on their ETA. Ana never called me for any update and then when I called her again at 3:30pm, she said the driver is on his way but she can't give any ETA. She didn't resolve the matter and didn't give any update and then I had to directly call the driver, Emmanuel, who told me an entirely different story. He said that he was waiting for the helper to arrive from Carmarthen and there was no way they both could be at my house before 7pm!!! Frustrated and stressed, I asked Emmanuel to come without the helper and that I was going to load everything in the van with him. Finally, Emmanuel arrived 150 minutes late at my house at 4:30pm and by that time, our house buyers had already started moving their furniture inside the house, and we had to move everything out on the driveway on our own. Not only did Quick Man and Van not have the courtesy or the basic decency of offering any refund, they also charged me for the extra helper who NEVER arrived, delayed my house move, didn't communicate anything and constantly LIED about the situation. The only good thing about this whole experience was the driver, Emmanuel, who tried to help as much as he could as it wasn't his job and he was just handed this job on the day AFTER the time the driver was supposed to arrive. Quick Man and Van might give you an unbelievably low quote but it clearly shows in their service, care and honesty. My advice would be to pay more and book from some place more reputable and reliable.

Wouldnt recommend - broke my drawers all the bottoms snapped, scratched all down my tv, pulled my wardrobe apart - left all my items in the garden in the rain and when they did take them in they left everything threw in the living room - so i had to carry big bed bases and bedroom items up the stairs on my own. would avoid.

Just such absolute rubbish: the advert says ‘from £20 per hour’. Ok, I want a medium van for four hours. That’ll be £500! What a waste of time.

Rude driver doesn’t know how to load van. Half loaded and said van full, drove to end of road refused to take more items, used same size van when bribing my items to the flat fitted packed correctly. Items left behind now need a second van.😞

They did not complete the job. The driver turned up and deemed the parking space too far away, so drove off. When we asked for a partial refund they refused. Avoid.

This was genuinely one of the worst moving experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a van for 12:00 p.m. days in advance, only to be told on the morning of the move that it would actually come at 2. No backup driver, no solution, nothing. It then arrived at 2:30, which completely derailed my schedule and caused serious issues with key collection for my new flat. I was also told there would be space for passengers. There wasn’t. I had to take public transport across London while all my belongings went separately. To make things worse, when I complained, the manager replied in an unprofessional and dismissive way, refused to apologise, and wouldn’t even discuss a refund or compensation. Unreliable, disorganised, and rude. Avoid at all costs.

What an awful experience ! We booked an hour for a medium van. The same the driver called to say he will arrive 30 min earlier when we didn’t even had the keys to the new house. The driver Androids Dudar arrived with a big van) which we didn’t book) and 5 minutes into the job started to say, this job smells like tips. He didn’t help much to the load/unload as we was on the phone. We booked the service for an hour and finished in 50 min but When the job was finished he started to demand and shout tips, he was very aggressive, very rude and it was scary to be honest! And I offered h some tips and he started to demand more! Don’t book with him!

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I booked a transport service (receipt #1364-4141) from New Wharf Hall to Space Store in Leicester for 5:00 PM. I had everything packed and ready outside, but no one turned up, and I received no communication about delays or cancellations. When I called the company, I was told I should have received a second email with driver details—which I never got, nor was I told to expect. I then spoke with Anna, who tried to move the booking to 7:00 PM. I explained this wouldn’t work as the drop-off location closes at 7:00 PM. She couldn’t explain why no one showed up or why I wasn’t informed. Things got worse when I spoke to someone named George on the phone. He was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional—interrupting me, deflecting responsibility, and even saying "I will make sure you don’t get a transport tomorrow." Absolutely unacceptable conduct. I ended up having to pay to store my items overnight due to the company’s failure. When I asked to contact the director directly, I was simply referred to a generic inbox—showing a lack of transparency and accountability. Avoid this service if you value your time, peace of mind, or basic respect as a customer. I’m still awaiting a formal apology, full refund, and compensation for the stress and inconvenience caused. We had a booking for 11am for a few weeks and the night before move at 6.50pm get a phone call saying can’t do 11am now it’s got to be 1.00pm instead. Agreed that and then on the day the driver said he would be even later now 2.30pm. So eventually driver arrived at 2.30 was helpful fast and efficient. Got moved in eventually at about 5pm all very stressful. Driver not allocated enough time between jobs and locations seemed to be the issue.

Had to cancel my booking a day before the move, as they said they could help from 5.30pm when I said I needed help from 12.00pm, and they won't refund me, terrible service!

I had the misfortune of choosing what I can only describe as the worst moving company imaginable. The name, "Quick Man and Van," led me to believe I was making a smart choice, but it turned out to be just a cruel joke. With high hopes, I booked their services for a Friday afternoon, around 1:00 PM, requesting a van and two movers for a straightforward job: relocating from a one-bedroom flat with no stairs, and everything already packed. Shortly after confirming my booking, I received an email notifying me that the mover I'd originally booked was unavailable. The lady at the company, named Anna, informed me that I had been reassigned to a different driver, Gheorghe Barbatosu. I was quite disappointed but remained optimistic, thinking that this would still work out smoothly. However, on the day of the move, about 30 minutes before the scheduled time, I received an alarming call saying Gheorghe would be late. I tried to remain understanding and told him that I was willing to work with the delay. Things took a turn for the worse a mere 15 minutes later when I got a text message informing me that they wouldn't arrive until 7 PM instead of the agreed 1 PM. This was utterly unacceptable, so I immediately tried calling Gheorghe, but to my frustration, he continued to deny my calls. When I finally was able to reach him, he was not only unhelpful but also quite rude and dismissive. After an exhausting period of trying to get answers—culminating in nearly 59 missed calls—the same lady, Anna, eventually answered again. She assured me that she would arrange for another team to come out, claiming they would be there by 3 PM. However, the second team didn’t arrive until around 7 PM, long past the original time. By this point, everything about the experience had spiraled out of control. In summary, dealing with this moving company was an absolute nightmare. I received no proper communication, only a string of lies. I have never encountered such a disorganized and unreliable company in my life. I would strongly advise anyone contemplating using their services to think twice.

I cancelled 2.5 hours prior due to a change in circumstances - no refund provided at all, even a partial refund (my advice - don't pay the full amount upfront). They messed me around last night being passed from driver to driver as they kept cancelling on me, wasting my time as I had to chase them. When they emailed this morning to ask why I'd cancelled - they explained its their cancellation policy and wouldn't budge. Also wouldn't apologise for the poor service and my time wasted yesterday. Avoid.

The driver was delayed twice. First my pick up was scheduled at 10:30 am on 27/03/25 which my driver called and said he needed to reschedule for to 2pm because of car issues. Due to this I had to cancel my afternoon appointments. I've been waiting since 2 pm but no one turned up and I called him (George)and he said he will come by 3pm but it's not confirmed. And now I received an email saying that it's rescheduled for 4:30pm. What is going on?? Is this a joke. I have wasted the whole day waiting for the driver. I had to cancel my afternoon appointment due to this and now I'm not even sure if anyone from quick man and van is going to turn up today.

Do not use this company! Due to external circumstances out of my control the job took 2 hours longer than the estimated time. I was forced to pay the driver an additional £195.00 to release my property. This negotiation occurred in a cold, dark carpark at night, I felt vulnerable and pressured. I called the head office who were sympathetic but their manager emailed me to say it was my fault and I had to pay the driver directly into his bank account or face losing my property. This was a very stressful and unprofessional experience.
