“We had a home for sale in Portland, OR. As we all know, there are innumerable real estate brokers and agents for prospective buyers and sellers to choose from. I interviewed several including, Stephen FitzMaurice. A couple I interviewed, even offered a lower commission than Stephen. But from lessons' learned, paying less too often means getting less in return. But with Stephen FitzMaurice and his uber-capable executive assistant, Jennifer, I really lucked out. As it sometimes just happens, the process of selling our house was not as direct as we would have hoped. But through the steady guidance of Stephen and Jennifer, based upon their years of experience, and their unwavering patience with an impatient home-owner (moi), as well as, their sage advice, we sold the house for $50,000 more than our original asking price! I am not making this up. Obviously, that alone makes me very happy. But if I can impress upon anyone who is contemplating hiring Stephen and his team it is this: Throughout the process, Stephen and Jennifer gave me a sense of security that I was in the hands of two highly capable, caring individuals who were going to do whatever was necessary to take the burden off me, and get the house sold. I thank them for that. I could not be more pleased and give them my highest recommendation.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Stephen. We followed his recommendations and sold within 4 days of listing at above listing price! We never believed it would happen so quickly or that we would attract so many great offers. We could not be happier with the outcome. We initially weren't certain of our selling timeline but Stephen listened and was respectful of our needs. He provided advice in the meantime. That was really helpful. We knew we were going to sell, just not when, so we followed his advice in clearing out the house and getting it into open house condition. When we were ready to sell, he provided updated market specs and recommendations. Again, we think the house sold so quickly at a great price because of Stephen's recommendations. Thanks again Stephen!”

“My wife & I were looking for an honest realtor that would offer us (the seller) a fair price and at the same time implement outstanding service in the selling our home. We found Stephen FitzMaurice. We knew that in our neighbor there was lots of competition with 10 homes for sale. Stephen told us that with the home priced fairly and proper promotion the home could sale within a month or two. I thought that might be a tall order. Knowing that Stephen was one of the preeminent agents in the area we decided to trust him. Within 3 weeks we had a cash offer for the full asking price. The house was sold 11 days later. We have a rental that we will be selling in the future and Stephen FitzMaurice will be our agent. I can't recommend Stephen highly enough.”

“The best thing about Stephen is that he has used his experience to fine-tune a process that is efficient and lucrative for selling houses. He invests in the advertising/marketing aspects of the sale (e.g. visibility on all websites, professional photos, etc) which translates into a quick sale for possibly more than another realtor. I was extremely satisfied with this. We sold our house within 2 days for more that I would have expected. He also gave good advice on what we should focus on in home improvements before it went on the market. The only word of caution that I have is that he doesn't hold your hand' as much as another dealer. He's very responsive to any requests, but the personal touch is lighter than other realtors. For me, this was a perfect match (I didn't want much of that) but if your personality type wants to be close to your realtor you may want to go with someone else.”

“We hired Stephen to list our house and had a great experience working with him and his assistant Jennifer. We listed in a very hot market, the house was only active for three days before we received multiple offers and accepted one above asking. We really needed a 60 day rent back to give us enough time to find a new house. Jennifer was awesome and went back and forth between the two best offers to get us the highest price and the rent back period that we needed. The only thing that was somewhat surprising for us was that once we received offers on our house we didn't work with Stephen, we worked exclusively with Jennifer to get the deal closed. That turned out to be fine because Jennifer was awesome to work with; she is extremely good at her job and is very responsive and easy to work with. Although our interaction with Stephen was somewhat limited, he was always available for questions and was good about getting back to us quickly. I would definitely recommend using Stephen and Jennifer to list your home.”

“Stephen's office was a great support through the whole process of selling my home. Stephen is an absolute professional and well prepared with knowledge of the Portland home market. His team provided me with prompt communication and put me in contact with home professionals as I needed them to prepare my home for a speedy sale. The process of selling my home has been a positive experience. I'm happy I found Stephen. “I found Steven when googling Portland housing market. His articles demonstrated current knowledge of the market and flexible thinking. The Realtor I used when I last sold in 2007 didn't realize the market was changing, and gave me poor advice. A Realtor who sells an average of 2 houses a week is in great touch with the market. Steven's photographer took great photos for the listing. The interior photos looked better than real life. The attractive photos and directness of the text made for a great RMLS listing, which generates the interest to view the house. I saved almost $5K on commissions, and don't think a full fee Realtor would have sold it any quicker or for a higher price. I will use Steven again.”
