We ordered some curtains from Regency but when they arrived I thought they looked much lighter than the sample. I went back to check the photos I had taken and realised the fabric was back to front. I contacted Regency and it turned out that the fabric was reversible. However at no stage did they tell me this and at no stage did they confirm which side I wanted. While they initially seemed willing to work with me to correct the issue (anyone with a 13 month old keen to be without window coverings in their bedroom for a week?) they then stopped responding. When I followed up a month later they did a complete 180. They claimed that the 'curtains had been made to the specifications' and that if I 'would like it to be the opposite way' they could re make the curtains. At our expense. Completely frustrated and disheartened by the turn around in customer service attitude and the unwillingness to work with me to find a solution. How was I meant to know the fabric was reversible if the 'experts' didn't even know? I don't feel like I deserve to be treated so cruely when it was their error. The curtains themselves are well made but absolutely not what I would have ordered and now I'm stuck with having to accept them or pay for them twice. I wish I had gone with another company. Be very careful with what you order. Now watch as they try to negate my review by discrediting me in their response. If you see a company attacking negative reviews by criticising the dissatisfied customer that should give you a strong indicator of their customer service values.

Item was not installed first booking. Second attempt we had to accept and have installed incorrectly sized curtain as we had no more time to waste and were no longer in the state. Curtain is 20cm too long. $1100 for a custom curtain that took 4 months to install. Very unhappy with service.

Dear Ester Thank you for taking the time to detail your concerns. RE: Curtain was not installed on the first installation The first installation was booked on 10 March 2020. Our installers attended your home as scheduled and found that no one was at home. Because of this, our Showroom team then had to rebook the installation for 23 March 2020, and the installation was completed on that day. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do it any earlier, as our installation team already committed to other clients as scheduled. RE: Curtain is 20cm too long Yes, we accept it was a mistake at our end and we would like to fix it without any cost to you. I understand you were moving interstate, and time constraints prevented us from doing any alterations. The returned installation form has been accepted and signed off by Chelsea, with a note indicating the curtains were too long, and you were happy to correct this yourselves. If this has now changed, we will be happy to make this adjustment for you. I will personally contact you to discuss this option. RE: Curtain took 4 months to install The original order was placed on December 23. We explained at the time that suppliers are closed during the Christmas /New Year period and this means that a usual turnaround time of 6 weeks would be closer to 10 weeks. You were happy to proceed with that. If the first installation had taken place as arranged, the time between ordering and installation would have been 10 weeks, as originally estimated.
