I’ve bought from Rituals in store before without issue, but this was my first online order and it was awful due to their delivery partner Yodel. Ordered on 3rd November with delivery scheduled for 5th November. After three failed deliveries over eight days and Yodel completely ignoring my instructions about when to deliver, the parcel was returned without consultation. To Rituals’ credit, they processed a refund and offered a £10 gesture. However, this doesn’t solve the fundamental problem: Yodel is unreliable and has poor customer service. When I raised this with Rituals, they didn’t address whether they’re reviewing this partnership. Looking at other reviews here, it’s obvious that a significant portion of Rituals’ poor ratings stem directly from Yodel’s delivery failures. This is a recurring problem that Rituals needs to address. I’m reordering the same product but selecting click and collect instead because I have zero confidence in Yodel delivering properly. If you order from Rituals for home delivery, be prepared for potential delivery failures. Use click and collect if available to avoid the hassle entirely.

Its really weird for me how rituals fake advertise. On the red packages, they say that they use indian rose and sweet almond oil. In reality they are using damascena rose flower oil which is from Karlovo, Bulgaria. Its the most expensive rose oil in the world and one of the best herbs. I saw that there was no indian rose, only the Bulgarian Damascena. If we stopped producing this oil, what would they use then? What would the smell be?

Rituals products are amazing, and in-shop service too.. but online customer service is a nightmare. My order had an attempted delivery on a day we were not at home, and it was brought back to a warehouse. Since then (10 days!) I tried to contact Rituals through any available channel to get it redelivered… but nothing. Impossibile to talk to anyone. Now I had to buy replacement gifts as I don’t believe anymore this will get to be by Christmas… and I can’t even find a way to get a refund. Horrible experience.

First of all I love rituals body products and the staff at Covent gardens store were wonderful My bad review is based on the hair care, I purchased tailor made shampoo and conditioner at a price of £30. (I consider this to be very expensive, but I was treating myself) I used the products once and they ruined my hair, it was left looking and feeling like a Brillo pad! Despite the fact that it had just been cut and was in fairly good condition to begin with, I contacted customer service who emailed me back and basically said tough! The said that they would pass my concerns on to the innovation team. That my hair may eventually adjust and improve if I continue to use it, i was not prepared to take the chance as my hair was visibly breaking after one use! I honestly expected more from a company such as rituals, Not only have I wasted £30 on the products I bought I also had to spend a further £10 on deep conditioning products to try and repair some of the damage. My advice if your hair is at all dry or curly or coloured or permed, or straightened or you use heat for styling ( so basically nearly everyone) stay away from the hair care!

i have been a customer for years! i buy the scented sticks, that cost £25. i buy them as birthday and Christmas gifts as they are a luxury and a bit pricey for everyday fresheners. i noticed they had a white variety of sticks, which i purchased for my mum for Xmas. a week after Christmas my mum confessed that the sticks weren't up to the usual standard,no smell, and having to turn them daily instead of weekly for any scent. Rather than just not go to Rituals any more, i gave them the opportunity to put it right, spoke with head office and was delighted that they were going to send me a gift card and a free gift as a good will gesture as i buy LOADS of stuff from them. Fast forward 4 weeks, and i chased my gift, which apparently has turned into a 30% off my next purchase! not good... so disappointing in a store that was a favourite. walton on thames stores is definitely gonna suffer as i am a regular shopper there, weekly! so, off to find a new place to buy all my presents and treats from.... any ideas?
