“I made the transaction and was advised it was 22.01 ZAR to the GBP but when it was confirmed it was down to 21.95. I was a little disappointed. I have used the company 4 times and it has never happened before. I am aware they have to make money for the service offered but a little more customer care of small margins would help.”

“They are very friendly, helpful and approachable and offer excellent client service. I have been using 1st Contact for almost 5 years and have never had a problem. All my glitches, senior moments and mistakes have been dealt with swiftly and satisfactorily. I can literally send money home in less than 5 minutes and not give it another thought. “I actually found 1st Contact not to be that good I forwarded money from my Australian Account on Thursday morning at 7.55am and did not received my money into My U.K. Account until Monday afternoon. It was Nothing to do with my bank either once they received my money from 1st Contact on the Monday afternoon they immediately put it into my account. I feel 1st Contact was far to slack in forwarding my money into my U.K. bank account have severe reservations about using them again.”

“Still pretty good, but they used to be better - in the past they allowed you to lock in a rate. Nowadays you don't really know what rate you are getting until your funds clear.”

“For some reason we keep struggling with funds coming in from the Maldives. Their bank doesn't like this system and seems to think it is fraudulent as too many intermediaries. Then there are often delays and not sure if it is FNB. We get told there was some " breakdown" and the last funds transfer is now taking 5/6 days from notification of funds arriving. Sebastian is always quick to reply but emails don't help us when we are relying on timeous transfers of our money.”
