SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. “The SAMi has been an answer to our prayers. Our 7 month old daughter was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation causing her to have epilepsy. Her specific form of epilepsy causes seizures to occur during the night or very early in the morning. I have feared that she will seize without me knowing while I sleep. The fear of SIDS became a fear of SUDEP and my sleep was almost nonexistent after her diagnosis. The SAMi has allowed me to rest knowing that if she moves abnormally in her sleep, I will be alerted to the movement. This is such an amazing device and captures and stores all of her movement that I can review it the next morning and share it with family members or her doctors. This is definitely worth the money and I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.”

“I never write reviews but this camera saved my daughter's life. She had a grand mal seizure while sleeping and was face down in her pillow. The alarm alerted me and I was able to get to her before she suffocated. We are very grateful to the people who invented this camera.”

“We have used many products in the past and by far this has been the best! Love that it is a all in one system. Love that it records and alerts. Once we set it up it gave relief that we would be alerted. We got more sleep knowing it could alert us.”

“I absolutely love our new SAMi monitor system. My seizure-free epileptic child just came off her medication, but since her seizures happen while asleep and involve vomiting I've been terrified to let her sleep alone without the meds. The SAMi monitor is wonderful, and the feature of turning off constant video makes me simultaneously happy that she's constantly monitored without my having to watch my 6 year old sleep like with a baby monitor, which felt odd to both of us. Thank you so much for this wonderful tool.”

“The camera and app are excellent. It allows me to move about the house without worrying about my loved one having a seizure without me knowing it. It also allows me to see her movement and needs. The alarm wakes me at night - I learned quickly to use the Border to eliminate movement outside of hers. The app is fairly simple to use although it has an antiquated interface. Overall I could not be happier, the system has dramatically improved my life as a caregiver for my loved one.”

“After an EMU stay revealed my 7 year old was having seizures I didn’t know about, we went home and didn’t sleep for days! I ordered the Sami and now I can sleep at night knowing I will get an alert if he were to have a seizure and I could get to him quickly!”

“Wow, I don’t even know how to put into words how much I recommend and love this camera. My newly diagnosed daughter has been having many clonic tonic seizures over the last few months. After her first seizure in her sleep, all we did was cry, thinking how could any of us ever have another sound, peaceful sleep again!? I was so overwhelmed and scared, until someone recommended this camera to me. This has been the best purchase I’ve ever made, ever. We sleep! And I mean we sleep peacefully, knowing this camera will detect any clonic tonic seizure she has, which it has! It’s caught all of them, alarmed us and we were able to help our daughter immediately. I am so so grateful for this camera! Don't worry parents, caretakers and everyone else who is affected by these awful seizures, you will sleep again!! Peacefully! :)”

“The SAMi has been nothing short of a lifechanger for my wife and I. We've used monitor watches as well as having our son sleep in the same room as his siblings with the hope that they would be able to watch him in case of a seizure but it is the SAMi that has given us the best piece of mind at night. “Our daughter had a tonic clonic at 19 months and shortly thereafter received an epilepsy diagnosis. For the next few weeks my husband and I slept next to her crib, hoping to catch a seizure. Only after speaking with the SAMi team (I couldn't believe how quickly they responded to my contact request) and purchasing one did our nights slowly get better. Luckily her medication appears to be working as her EEGs no longer show seizure activity. We kept the suggested alarm setting for the first six to seven months, which meant that we were alerted typically three to six times a night to simple movements. Following the most recent clear 24 hour EEG we felt confident to adjust the setting to alarm after 30 seconds, as she has been seizure free for eight months and we could still reach her quickly to administer medicine and provide support if a seizure occurs. That adjustment has brought us back to levels of sleep I didn't think possible after her diagnosis as we fully trust this medical device after seven and a half months of daily use and observation. Thank you for helping us to feel reassured that we will be alerted and able to help our daughter whenever needed for her epilepsy. We purchased the travel stand and dedicated router (no need to rely on family or hotel wifi), which allows us to smoothly bring our setup with us when we travel, allowing our family to continue in many of our normal patterns.”
