Reference Saxtons wanting to discuss the issues raised in my earlier F pace review below. I still have your earlier emails stating you believed it was a satisfactory paint job on what's only a used car. I also have the £250 take it or leave it offer. Seems like Saxton have said all they wanted to say but wanted it to look like they're bothered with their standard reply to my 100% accurate review below !!

Do not buy from Saxton 4x4! Where to start? Firstly, I wish I could give zero stars! Bought a Volvo XC90 from Saxton. The sales process was very frustrating. It took a week for the car to be prepared for collection and on arrival, not all of the paperwork was available (vehicle checks, log book etc). Saxton said they would forward it all on. Drove the car away and immediately noticed problems with a faulty wing mirror and electrics. Called them straight away to report the issues and 4 months on, we're still waiting for everything to be resolved with the car. Their promise to post me the log book (which had disappeared from when I first viewed the car) plus the correct car mats and a missing part for the in-car entertainment have never materialised. Once the sale is made, Saxton lose all interest. Customer care is non existent and Sales/Service/Management don't reply to emails or phone calls. In desperation I emailed the Directors and they didn't bother to reply either! The warranty supplied is worthless (read the small print and it covers hardly anything) and Saxton are not truthful. Lost paperwork, missing car checks, claims to have serviced the car which when I pushed for proof, turned out to be false. They hadn't serviced the car. The whole experience was unpleasant and stressful. When trying to get the faults repaired, and only after threatening to reject the car under consumer rights, Saxton asked me to take the car to a local garage to fix it (from the approved warranty list) and they would pay. £25 in lost cab fees and a day off work later, and the garage said they weren't skilled enough to deal with it and it would have to go to Volvo. More unanswered calls followed until finally, they agreed to pay Volvo to fix the car. They also promised that Volvo would supply me with the missing car parts at Saxton's cost. When I went to collect the car, Volvo informed me that Saxton had revoked the parts agreement and asked Volvo to tell me that they would be sending me the missing log book, car mats and entertainment part themselves. I'm still waiting and nobody at Saxton's returns my calls or emails. They are not a premium dealership. They are a quick turnover, dodgy outfit that happens to sell premium cars. There's a big difference. If you're lucky enough to buy a car from them that is fault free you may be OK, but if you need any after sales help be prepared to look up your legal customer rights and to settle in for a long battle. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you search the reviews, you'll see a clear pattern with their failure to fix problems. I just wished I'd paid more attention to them and that I'd never bought from Saxton. I'm still waiting for my missing items. I've tried to contact them again today and have been told that the person who was dealing with the issues has left. Through my dealings with them over the last 4 months, the 3 staff members who I've managed to get a response from have left! I'll update my review if the issues are resolved.

I had the misfortune to buy a Jaguar F Pace from this outfit, hopefully this review will help others from making the same mistake. When you enter their impressive showroom the salesmen couldn't be more attentive, nothing is too much trouble for them. However once Saxton have your money they couldn't care less about your so called experience. Your phone calls are never returned and emails aren't much better. When someone from Saxton does bother to contact you they first try to fob you off, then tell blatant lies !!. Don't be fooled by their fancy advertising and impressive looking showroom, Saxton 4x4 are NOT a prestige car dealer. They are no better than any other dodgy second hand car dealer, the only difference is they sell much more expensive cars !! If you're thinking of buying a prestige car my advice is DON'T even think about visiting Saxton, go to a main dealer and save yourself a lot of hassle and disappointment because at least main dealers stand by the cars they sell you. I've spent £2,000 so far putting right the atrocious paintwork on the car they sold me.

Avoid Saxton 4x4 at all costs. Don't part with a penny for a deposit until you're happy with the car you want and make sure you scrutinise it before you pay the balance because once you leave the forecourt they couldn't care less. I had the misfortune to buy a Jaguar F Pace from this lot and I've found their after sales service to be appalling. When I went to collect my car there was a dent in the wing, Konrad the salesman told me he'd try to get it pushed out, without success. He told me the only way to repair it properly would be to repaint it. Unfortunately it was a very overcast day which turned to rain. However after washing my car it soon became apparent the paint repair was a different colour. I was told in subsequent emails that firstly it wasn't possible to do a repair without it showing, then I was told that Saxton believed they'd carried out a reasonable repair. Then they told me it was only a used car with deteriorating paintwork. Funnily enough after I posted a review on trustpilot (which is still there) Saxton offered to LOOK at the car again if I removed my honest review !! I asked if I could have the repair carried out nearer to my home as it would be easier and to be honest I hadn't much faith in them after their first attempt. I decided to decline their offer as I didn't believe they would carry out the work to a good standard AND that other potential customers should be made aware of how this company operate.

Bought a 46k Range Rover from these charlatans, car had been accident damage and poorly repaired, missing parts, electrical major components not working, damaged fuel tank, the list is endless. Spent over £4000 on putting it right after being flipped the proverbial finger by Saxton. Just received notification from ombudsman by complaint has been held up, the car was not as described, was not in good condition or fit for purpose, as per the sales of goods act, terrible after sales, and the lies I was told make this company in my eyes totally shameless.

Like so many reviews about Saxton 4x4 say, avoid them at all costs, I regret having any dealings with them at all. I bought a 65 plate Range Rover Evoque in January this year and it has been in and out of the garage ever since. Within weeks it had it's first problem, which has been reoccurring every few weeks since, each time racking up a £500 bill which was covered by the warranty for the first 6 months but when that ran out Saxton would not accept that the problem was there before I even bought the car let alone while I still had the warranty. Less than a year after I bought it, it's back with the Land Rover specialists again but now I'm looking at a £4000 repair cost to basically replace the engine. It's been diagnosed that the engine has been destroyed by wear and tear over many years, it's highly improbable that Saxton were not aware of the incredibly poor quality of the car at the time of the sale and very probable that they knowingly disguised it's many issues to deceive a buyer, me. I have had to buy another car altogether while all these repairs are going on otherwise I would have been carless for the majority of this year. Every time I have tried to contact Saxton about any of the multitudes of problems I've had with the car, they have attempted to fob me off every, single, time. Their favourite tactic is to put you on hold and forget about you. With out fail I've been told there isn't someone available to speak to me and they offer to call back. I quickly learnt that that never happens so I began to insist that I would hold until someone was available, that's when you're left to go insane listening to hold music. I've found just repeatedly calling is the only way to get through to someone. But if you do manage to speak to someone, you're met with irritation and annoyance and complete denial of any responsibility. They are second hand car sales men at their worst.

Zero follow up once issues arise. In my case the sale was based on complete rubbish by the salesman, but I found that out too late. Zero followup.

If you want to buy a car from these guys, the attention you’ll get is full on, immersive and fills you full of confidence. After you’ve made your purchase however, the story is a polar opposite! I bought a car from them and paid for it in full, no finance required. Of course, I tried to negotiate, but ended up paying the full asking price. A nice, simple, pain free and profitable transaction for the dealer. When I got the car home, I discovered that it did not come with a spare wheel, but a puncture repair kit. A little disappointing, but understandable in today’s market, but the kit was missing. I called them and was told that a new one would ‘wing it’s way’ to me, ‘pronto’. Four weeks later, I sent an email requesting an update. I thought this rather patient of me! No reply. I sent another a few days later, copying in a director. Still no reply. I called and asked to speak to a director and was firmly told that would not be possible as ‘directors don’t speak to customers’. Hmm… let me figure… the business is selling cars to… customers! No customers=no sales=no profit=no business. I’m fairly sure that’s the way it works? I was finally advised that a sales manager would call me. To date, I have STILL not heard from anyone at Saxton 4x4. I’ve not only managed individual companies in my career, but also groups of companies. As ex. CEO of a large manufacturing and sales organisation, I made it perfectly clear that customers could ALWAYS liaise directly with me or indeed my teams of managing directors and directors if they were unhappy about any aspect of their purchase. Without customers, we had no business, so the customer was and is always ‘King’. I’m not suggesting that they’re always right of course, but if you don’t interact with them, how can you know how your business is performing? Basic common sense really. But not at Saxton 4x4 it seems! What’s the cost of a puncture repair kit? £50. £100? I’ve really no idea, but in whole scale of things, extremely inexpensive. ‘Give us your money, then go boil your head’ appears to be their mantra. As I’ve always said, you live and learn! Well, some of us at any rate! I thoroughly recommend that you DO NOT buy a car from this bunch if you want the peace of mind that comes with good after-sales service, because you will not get it at Saxton 4x4.

I would advise that this place is avoided. I trusted the dealership and was sold a car with a known fault which I am arranging to have repaired through Mercedes dealership. They phoned me because they were not happy with my feedback on a survey they sent to me which is 100% honest unlike Saxton 4X4 . When they called to complain about my feedback I suggested they cover the cost of the Mercedes dealership which they refused to do. The fault can only be repaired by Mercedes dealership. Also, from an admin perspective, despite telling them the car should be in my wife,s name they put it in my name, basic error. I had hoped that Saxton 4X4 might be the one dealership which one could deal with in an honest and trustworthy way, sadly not. There were others on the day, in their showroom, also complaining about being misled, enough said.

Stereotypical second hand car sales company -------------------------------------------------------- I purchased a Range Rover Evoque in October 2018 and paid a lot of money for it. The problems started immediately. Our car broke down in the first month of purchase - a DPF filter issue. When Saxton 4x4 were contacted they immediately told me to speak to Land Rover directly, which I later found out they shouldn't do (as the retailer they are obliged to resolve the issue). I also found out shortly after that a consumer has the right to reject the vehicle if it brakes in the first 30 days. A month after Land Rover fixed the car it broke again. This time a very expensive EGR fix (the valve had broken but then also broke the turbo). Again Saxton 4x4 did not want to know. I tried writing to them, emailing and calling them to exchange the car for something else of a similar value. They again did not want to help. Their way of "helping" is to delay as much as possible. They have a tactic of not getting back to you even after weeks of trying to get to someone other than the receptionist or sales person. The car then developed a 3rd fault, another valve failed in a different part of the engine which allowed liquid in to the engine. At this point Land Rover had the car for a 3rd time and informed us that there had been a major engine replacement on this vehicle shortly before we purchased the car. This was not disclosed to us (the law says that they have to disclose any issues if you ask but if you don't ask they don't have to tell you). The car has now been repaired 4 times since we purchased it and with no help from Saxton 4x4 - no good will gesture for swapping the car (they don't want it back!) and very very difficult to engage with. The best offer I got was a part exchange offer which was more than £1k less than webuyanycar. In fact they would have made a tidy little profit. I got a worse value than if I had just walked in off the street. We are now going down the legal route (first with the Finance company) to get our money back or exchange the vehicle but this whole experience has left us with a £10k loss (so far) on the value of the vehicle, legal fees, a car that is prone to braking down outside of warranty and has not been replaced after developing faults shortly after driving away. One thing to note is that if you purchase a car outside of the main dealers then companies like JLR have a policy of only fixing the car under warranty terms and are very strict with it as they do not know what has happened once it leaves the network. If you purchase a car from a main dealer then they have options and processes in place to get you back on the road or in to another car. A valuable lesson learned (and an expensive one). This has been the worst car purchasing experience we've ever had with any company and the fight for our consumer rights continues. Make no mistake, Saxton 4x4 are a company that turn around cars very quickly with no thought or regard for the end customer - it is pure profit making or "just business". If you bought a car from Saxton - if all goes well - then you are one of the lucky ones.

Buy at your peril !!! Full of empty promises. Zero after sales service. Promise you the earth to get sale. Cars are cheap below main dealer price because there are faults with them. Not checked properly as they state. Would I recommend... NO If you do buy from them insist on long test drive and really scrutinize the body work. But do yourself a favour and avoid in first place. The reviews on here and other sites are very true I'm afraid.

I purchased a second hand vehicle from Saxton 4x4 in July 2019, the vehicle was advertised with a full service history, this was false advertising as it’s been 5 weeks since I purchased the vehicle and still haven’t been sent the missing pieces, so makes me wonder if it really exist at all. The vehicle had also been fitted with 2 new BUDGET tyres on the font, I also got charged for the GardX treatment what a joke and waste of money the vehicle wasn’t very well prepped, the smell of cigarettes had been disguised with an air freshener bomb, and wasn’t until the next day when that smell wore off I started to smell the cigarette smell. It cost me £80 with a local valet to steam clean the interior of the vehicle to get rid of that smell, there had been small scuffs disguised and covered over. It also took me 2 weeks to get my 1K deposit back. I would never buy from Saxon 4x4 again, I even paid for an oil change after taking delivery as I wasn’t convinced it had been done even though they told me it had Beware go in with your eyes wide open and don’t believe anything they tell you

Overal very very bad customer service experience at Saxton 4x4 in Chelmsford Essex from the get go when I purchased my vehicle in January 2019. Car was advertised before sale with 2 set of keys, boot cover, alloy wheel knot and proof of full service history but when car was prepared for collection they where all missing with 1 set of faulty car key that randomly chooses when to unluck the vehicle or not. I  had to be actively chasing all this up. When they were not being resolved in an efficient and adequate manner I had to pay out of my own pocket to replace the wheel knot, spare key which should have be fully reimbursed. Also the amount giving for my old car as part exchange was very low compare to what was offered at other show rooms as top rate. I was also accused of lying when all this complaint was brought to the sales team manager attention. As a result of all mentioned above an follow up email complaint was sent to Neil Cripps as per receptionist advised to be the top senior member staff who also did not respond to my complaint untill this negative feedback was left. I feel very very dissatisfied and unhappy with their customer service expecially for a show room with fleet of exquisite, top of the range cars could be so carlos and un professional to contact me after leaving this negative feedback and still squivel over few hundred pounds reimbursement which never materialized and not provide top range customer service experience they claim to offer to their customer. Definately not recommended. Strongly suggest you do not have any buisness with this show room even if you don't have other choices.
