They don't seem to keep good stocks of day to day stuff anymore. Couple that with lack of parking at stores and that's probably why I find Screwfix frustrating. Click and collect works really well but it takes longer to park than it does to pick things up.

Went to my local Screwfix to collect a purchase that I ordered on line, I arrived at the store, to be greeted by an employee on the front desk, showed my collection number and was politely told that its not in stock, however she said "after checking stock availability, they have the same item at their other branch which is only 2 miles away, Great, I said ill collect it from there, then she told me we cant do that with no understanding of a explanation of why they are not able to do this. I was kind of took back by this, ok I said what can I do ? she explained that I need to go to the other branch and pay for it again. So I will now be buying this twice!!!!. ok I said, cancel my order here and I will go to the other branch to pay and collect, then she told me that she cant cancel the order until the item has come into there depot and I will need to call the customer service number to cancel. Shocked by the above I walked out and went home, My wife went to cancel the order and explained why we was cancelling, to be told by the customer manager that it WAS in stock in the depot that I first went too. Never the less I went back to the depot and collected the item. To be fair I have never had a bad experience using screwfix, but this day showed how their internal management communication processes and understanding of stock control was somewhat unprofessional, also I'm still not sure why you cant transfer a order from one branch to the other if the customer is willing to collect and potentially not having to pay for the item twice ?

Do not order online from this scam company.I ordered on the 28th of October and am still waiting delivery ,now 19th November.When i called and tried to cancel my order as i bought the product locally(couldnt wait any longer) i was told i would have to refuse to accept the order from the courier when it arrived and when it got back to the depot possibly in the Uk i would receive a refund !! What a joke of a company,i wish i had read the reviews of other unhappy customers before i gave them my money.

Ordered a sack truck to be delivered by the end of the week. Parcel Force managed to direct it to the wrong depot twice and so there was no chance of delivery when I needed it. Screwfix customer service were brilliant. The young lady not only organised a replacement for me to pick up from a local branch, but made sure there was someone in the branch who would carry it out to the car as we are continuing to isolate as my wife is very vulnerable. She could not have done better and even made sure I got a refund for the delivery charge. THANK YOU SCREWFIX.

Recently bought a budget wallpaper pasting board.Just want to warn others not to waste their money,it's not fit for purpose!Within an hour it was badly sagging in the middle,having had no weight put on it.Know it was only cheap but should have at least lasted a day,shocking quality,don't bother!Recent service in general has been very poor in store,shopping elsewhere now.Wickes are like a breath of fresh air compared to this company.Always used to rate them but last 6months have let themselves down badly.

Unbelievably shocking service from Screwfix. Avoid at all costs... I placed order online for a Boiler for next day delivery. Order was placed on 1st November and today is 11th November and still my Boiler is not delivered. Contacted customer service more than 8 times...everytime they promise it will be delivered same day or next day...all lies.. Made two complaints to complaints department, not a single response yet.. Never received such a disgusting service ever from any other. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I ordered a Boiler online for next day delivery. After 12 days it is still not delivered. Shocking customer service. Broken promises that false information everytime when I called for a update. Shocking. Will never recomend or purchase again. Had to cancel installation as a result. Contacted complain department twice but no response at all. Utterly shocking and unbelievably poor service.

Used click n collect at screwfix just last May to buy a chisel bit for my sister drill, they took my money but never called me in to collect it so got one elsewhere instead, when I went there a few weeks later they wouldn't let me in cause I didn't click n collect do I said oh yea like I did last time and didn't get the goods, so I told them to stick it where the sun don't shine and haven't been back since.

Tried to collect my items, from a shop that shuts at 8pm, to arrive at 5pm and be told they were closing early this week, I questioned this and was swore at by the employee, telling me to "f**king bring it on!" when I advised I was not happy about being unable to collect my items. Will never use this company again.

Screwfix have become the most unreliable place to buy online. Order placed on 7th now 27th with still nothing and empty promises. Pure disgrace. Avoid like the plague. I HAVE NOW CANCELLED ORDER. The order was for smoke and Co2 alarms and not having them was putting a young family at risk. Still Screwfix did not care or apologise.

Shower valve purchased and next day return back for Refund, now it it is two months, not paying my money, They are just chasing me, customers service don’t know anything about this?

Had an issue with missing items from order, customer services sorted it straight away (I wanted refund) and the amount appeared in my bank AC no problems, even though branch couldn’t, as was with another branch. Own and branded products always brilliant, even the cheap ones. Unfailingly nice, patient and helpful even to female DIYer, not just Trade.

Screwfix are incredible - like the John Lewis of DIY, but cheaper! Own brand products are fantastic, staff are amazing, ordering is clear and easy, and the staff are incredibly calm and helpful. What’s even better is your orders are kept, so you can keep track of them, look back on previous products bought and no problem if you’ve lost the receipt! Unlike ALL other DIY or Trade stores.

I’ve had Numerous conversation with screwfix regarding a refund and on several occasions now they have told me it’s sorted 3 weeks later it’s still not. I will be getting my bank involved if screwfix do not sort this ASAP.

Absolutely outstanding service from Screwfix, yesterday: I placed a click and collect order for collection from the Ipswich, Cavendish Street branch (not my nearest branch, but they had everything I wanted in stock and my wife was working in Ipswich that day). Unfortunately, and I admit stupidly on my part, I didn't anticipate that the two 3m long pipes that I had ordered were not going to fit in my wife's Citroen C3! After a somewhat tense conversation with my wife she had no option but to leave the two items at the store!... A short while later I got a phone call from a lady at the Ipswich, Cavendish Street store who confirm that my wife had been unable to take the two items and asked if I would like the order for those items to be transferred to my nearest store (Stowmarket) for easier collection! I was absolutely flabbergasted! What brilliant service! Well above and beyond what anyone could expect: This lady had emphasised with our situation and had then taken the trouble to reduce our inconvenience by finding my nearest branch, checking the stock levels there and then phoned me with that option. I picked up the items early evening. I'm so sorry that I cannot remeber the name of the lady at the Ipswich Cavendish Street branch but I hope someone at Screwfix can seek her out and pass on my sincere thanks.

Utter time wasters. I appreciate COVID has impacted supply but when I’ve spent over 3 months trying to buy a product from them and had some of the worst communication I have ever experienced from a company - I’m done I have been given 5 dates over these 3 months for release of stock after numerous calls and nothing has materialised. They aren’t even able to tell me what stores have supplies of this item which is just a joke. No option to preorder, no way of being notified of availability...It’s the equivalent of a customer with a wad of cash in his pocket looking to buy something in store, and the shop attendants telling us to ‘just wait a bit longer’ throughout an entire day while they spend all opening hours having cups of tea in the back room. This is the kind of customer service that means I will never use them again. It’s infuriating and insulting and I can’t remember ever experiencing anything so poor If Screwfix took the item off their store or were just honest with all the other furious customers in the products Q and A thread this wouldn’t be so bad, but for someone who budgeted to renovate a house with this being a vital tool (planer joiner) and started months ago it’s absolutely unacceptable. I will never set foot in their stores ever ever again

A right-wing organisation.. I applied for a job and was rejected on the initial application by just submitting my exceptional cv... Years of experience in a highly targeted roles and face to face service as well as over the phone.. In fact screwfix role, organisation and pay was so insignificant before my redundancy.. Due to extreme desperation I applied... I've been to may screwfix stores as a customer, my personality and experience outshines every employee and manager in this organisation
