Someone was allowed to make a barrage of expensive purchases fraudulently on my credit card. The scumbag looser fraudster failed with other companies but successfully was able to spend hundreds at Screwfix and obtain those items. Why the company allowed purchases to be made to a different address than the registered card I do not know. I've asked them for an explanation and get fobbed off. My advice is do not use this company. They are complicit in fraud and couldn't care less about helping you. I strongly suggest not to use the company as if there are any problems you will not be helped

Went to my local Screwfix to collect a purchase that I ordered on line, I arrived at the store, to be greeted by an employee on the front desk, showed my collection number and was politely told that its not in stock, however she said "after checking stock availability, they have the same item at their other branch which is only 2 miles away, Great, I said ill collect it from there, then she told me we cant do that with no understanding of a explanation of why they are not able to do this. I was kind of took back by this, ok I said what can I do ? she explained that I need to go to the other branch and pay for it again. So I will now be buying this twice!!!!. ok I said, cancel my order here and I will go to the other branch to pay and collect, then she told me that she cant cancel the order until the item has come into there depot and I will need to call the customer service number to cancel. Shocked by the above I walked out and went home, My wife went to cancel the order and explained why we was cancelling, to be told by the customer manager that it WAS in stock in the depot that I first went too. Never the less I went back to the depot and collected the item. To be fair I have never had a bad experience using screwfix, but this day showed how their internal management communication processes and understanding of stock control was somewhat unprofessional, also I'm still not sure why you cant transfer a order from one branch to the other if the customer is willing to collect and potentially not having to pay for the item twice ?

This is only re the new tablet check in. Just complicates things. Queue at the tablet instead of the counter. Make input mistake, queue even longer, what's the point, not progress at least not for customer. Never had any problem queueing at my branch Wadebridge. Screwfix always great on service but this is a step backwards.

What is the point of buying materials online and then having to go into the store with the payment card to use chip & pin. There is no point in having an online checkout where you pay and then having to go into the store to make the same payment again. Truly inconvenient and not tailored towards trade customers! Selco and Wickes don’t require the extra hassle.

Several purchases over last 10 months Always got what I want? When you compare them with there Sister company b&q.. When they say it’s “in stock” but you spend hours trying to find it... But The reason I put aside some time for this review,,, is to congratulate the young) very young) Female staff... who ... surprisingly find ( from my highly technical description) the Bit I need.. ( even more so) they can equate to an alternative, which invariably happy, not only works ~ but does the job , at half the price Hope I ain’t LOST YOU Very Good Service

Since last 2 weeks waiting for delivery which was supposed to be delivered in 3-4 working days. Do not trust them for delivery dates & now even started to wonder if i would get the items. Customer service easy to talk to but not well informed about what they are doing & keeps on telling different things. Terrible | Terrible | Terrible. Already spoiled my 2 working days ( other than that will have to pay the builder again to come in) and still do not know when will i get the delivery. I was told someone would call me ASAP with what is happening i hope asap really what they mean not like the delivery days promised.

Advertised 2-3 days delivery. Just been informed by "Customer care" that it will be 2 weeks. False advertising bordering on fraudulent. Won't be using you again. Unreliable and untrustworthy.

Ordered all my materials over the phone to pick up from a coats store, 3 days in advance. I was assured they had all the goods I required. On the day the staff just handed me a box of stuff and I was told all the goods I ordered are in the box. Having shopped at screwfix before, I decided to check the box. Turns out the all important middle connector piece was missing,. I had to interrupt another customer that was placing an order because the staff were nowhere to be seen. Turns out it was the manager who said "sorry did no one tell you, here I will print off a cancellation for that piece cause we don't have it". I couldn't believe they were goi g to let me walk out of the store with a sealed box with a part missing. They were literally trying to steal from me. Spoke to Victoria from the head office who was no help. They ruined my job for the day. I will never rely on screwfix again. They are useless Victoria in the head office is also useless and has stupid blind faith in her lying staff.

I phoned to buy a pair of work boots for my son who lives 50 miles away. I asked if I could pay and he pick them up from local shop (Bromsgrove) No problem they said aa long as he has order number and proceeded to take my personal details and money. I then receive email advising that he can’t collect without my card so I was basically defrauded out of my money. Spoke to Lee (Bromsgrove store manager) to try and rectify situation - he is just plain rude and kept repeating “its policy.” It’s presumably also Screwfix policy to mislead customers into parting with their money

Be warned if you buy a faulty potentially dangerous electrical product from screwfix they will not give you a refund if you do not have a receipt, even if it is new. I bought some dimmer switches, plate switches and plug sockets over a period of time for both my newly decorated bedroom and my daughters flat. Just had a dimmer switch fitted in my bedroom and it was faulty so I used one of the others which works fine. The faulty one is new, in the original box and has screwfix product code on the back but they are refusing to refund because I do not have the receipt. I have had numerous email exchanges with different members of their customer service team as no one person seems to take ownership for each complaint. They keep asking the same questions, receipt? Can’t find, A number from invoice? Not registered, card statement? paid cash. I am always buying things in screwfix and not that they will be bothered as they have poor customer service, I won’t be buying anything else from them again, nor will anyone else in the family. There is a toolstation right next door to the one I go in so will just shop in there instead.

BEWARE CLICK AND COLLECT IS A TOTAL F***ING JOKE AND WASTE OF TIME! ORDERED ITEMS ONLINE TO PICK AT THE BIRKENHEAD STORE, I WENT TO THE COLLECTION POINT BUT I WAS TOLD I HAD TO QUEUE IN THE MAIN QUEUE TO GET MY CARD PIN VERIFIED! THIS IS NOT WHAT MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL STATED! ' Please bring the card you have paid with and head straight to the collection point where you will be asked to verify your pin.' WHY ON EARTH YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH PIN VERIFICATION!! ITS ABSURD!! THE MAIN QUEUE WAS ABSOLUTELY CHOCKA BUT 3 TILLS WERE OPEN, SO I ASKED IF I STILL HAD TO BE IN THE MAIN AND ONLY QUEUE! I WAS TOLD YES! THIS IS DESPITE A HUGE PLACARD ABOVE THE TILLS STATING ' CLICK & COLLECT in as little as 1 minute'. SENSING MY FRUSTRATION, A STOREWORKER SHORTLY ENQUIRED IF ANYONE WAS COLLECTING, WHICH I WAS AND GOT MY ORDER, BUT AS THE 'COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS DOWN' SHE GAVE ME MY ORDER BY LOOKING AT MY CREDIT CARD WHICH IS WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED! AS I WAS COLLECTING IT THE LEMMING WHO DIRECTED ME TO THE QUEUE WAS STILL INADEQUATELY TRYING TO JUSTIFY HIMSELF!! ITS GOING DOWNHILL FAST SINCE B&Q BOUGHT THEM OUT!

Who's the fool? Viewed a product on the website and checked availability - could be bought over the counter at any of their Northern Ireland stores. Great, I thought and went to nearest store. Only to be told that not only was that product not available in that store, Lisburn, but in none of the northern Ireland stores. It would have to be ordered in from mainland UK. Misleading to say the least. Needless to say I'm now buying elsewhere so I was the fool for following their website promise but in the end they're the fools as they've created a non customer with a negative view.
