I paid for next day delivery. It didn’t arrive. Three days later they won’t tell me what’s going on. Parcel force have no clue what Screwfix are doing. Screwfix only contacted me when I wrote a bad review on trust pilot. That is the level of their customer care. They shouldn’t be allowed to trade.

The Manager at Ulverston, Cumbria is extremely unprofessional. Shouting at staff members in front of customers, belittling them, disgraceful behaviour. Not management material at all. I suggest more training or a trained professional to take her place.

Poor customer service. Bought a padlock, which had packaging stapled together. It wasn’t working and had been placed back on the self for another sale . Can understand peoples frustrations, and time buying faulty goods but to go through the process again with the same product???? Manager then places blame on a new starter ........

Screwfix is selling a JSP power cap at £336. I bought two upon advice, only to find out they don't supply FFP3 filters. We buy from Screwfix regularly. Screwfix has said they will not accept the return as it is out of the 30-day return policy (by several days). I could have bought a manual mask for £20. That would have done a better job. Their dealing with this is horrific, trying to avoid accepting a complaint and making the process difficult to put you off. I'll never buy from this company again. This isn't the first time they've sold me something incorrect. I very rarely leave bad reviews, but they deserve it.

Give Screwfix a miss for buying tools online !! Order Number A1224731**** 1 x Paslode IM65 F16 63mm 7.4V 1 x 2.1Ah Lithium Second Fix Cordless Gas Nail Gun (76089) Ordered a Paslode nail gun from Screwfix on March 5th, It arrived a few days later but to my surprise the handle of the nail gun was faulty and not screwed together properly causing it to flex when used. I returned the nail gun though the mail to be replaced. They received it on roughly the 13th of March as i checked though the tracking number and there customer service also confirmed it had been received. 72 days on from then, 7 calls to custom service, 4 fictitious redelivery, No nail gun and £460 out of pocket. Not to mention the amount of work iv had to turn down because of this company's inability to serve its customers Todd McCourt

An absolutely disgraceful company. I injured my hand with a pair of garden shears clearly not fit for purpose. I was shocked to discover other reviews dating back 2 years from people who experienced the same problem where the cheap plastic dividers (that are supposed to stop the handles crushing the user's fingers) slip and do not do what they are supposed to. Screwfix refused to publish my negative review (without reason) and then treated me with complete contempt in attempting to dismiss me. The in store staff are good but the customer services department and the CEO were not in the lightest bit interested in doing the right thing and ensuring this was addressed so that other people are not injured. Really shocked at how poor and negligent the service was.

Ordered two bottles of drain cleaners and collected yesterday. Went online this afternoon to order four more bottles - except that overnight Screw-the- public had hiked the price by two pounds a bottle. No way. Good-bye and not a penny of mine will ever go in your till. You are an absolute disgrace and typify rip-off Britain.

Just lost me as a customer - I don't want to be searching a tablet or mobile device for my purchases.. I get home or on site - Look through the book & place my order.. Without a book to look through, It's time consuming & nowhere near as effective to finding what you want. I go home to be away from mobile devices, not stuck to one looking for materials. I've just gone to Toolstation, 5mins with the book & done. Screwfix is not for me anymore.

Been a customer for nearly ten years, will be closing my account this year. Service is poor, stores rarely carry stock of items advertised online and in catalogues, delivery service poor. Had to wait over a month for a refund, which required me to send over 20 inane emails, after a failed "next day" delivery. Save yourself the hassle and use toolstation

Horrible experience with Screwfix! They call me 10 mins before the due delivery to tell me that the items are out of stock. I took the day off and made special arrangements for this ~ Very poor customer services and no clear customer communications or notifications at all. The guy on the phone was clueless and could only offer £10 for a massive mess up. Screwfix you are screwed, so get a grip!

Ordered product and told I could pick it up the next day which is what I needed but guess what it didn’t turn up. Can’t get a refund until you collect the product. Beware

I returned a pair of DeWalt gel core knee pads described as having a one-year warranty to Screwfix at Netwon Aycliffe 41 days after purchase. I explained to the staff member that I had worn them approximately ten times. And that I believe their condition indicated poor quality or a faulty product for which I would be grateful to accept a repair or replacement. At this point, I was told that "they do wear out" before being asked how many hours per day I had worn them; I explained that the number of hours per day of usage varied, and they were worn during my 8 hour working day when needed. The staff member then implied that the condition should be accepted if the knee pads were worn for 8 hours per day. This staff member's sentiment equates to 80 hours of use and is unsubstantiated. So I asked her why this information was missing from the description, and I explained how this information attained from her assessment would greatly benefit customers in making an informed decision at the time of purchase. She was unable to provide an explanation or indeed apply common sense in respect of returned goods less than six weeks old. I explained that I had decided to make the return because I have worn numerous different brands of knee pads over a 25 year period, and most, if not all, have lasted at least one year. She made a refund and chose to no longer serve me by asking another staff member to take my order. I fully understand that warranties often contain fair use clauses; however, I consider it wholly inappropriate to even attempt to imply this could be the case after 41 days. Having demonstrated a lack of common sense, this particular staff member would benefit significantly from a basic understanding of legislation relating to the sale of goods.

Made an order, was only told it wasn't in store after i had paid, i received a text message while in my car outside their store to tell me it would be sent from the distribution centre to store. (I was already picking up a previous order so thought i would order another item to make it worthwhile driving all that way... BAD MOVE). I contacted screwfix via their website online chat system on my phone and the rep told me he would cancel it and refund me. He lied, I checked my screwfix account today and it is still processing, It has not been cancelled or refunded. DO NOT TRUST SCREWFIX. Obviously i was put through to some 3rd world country rep in their chat system, someone who has no idea of the English language or how cancellations and refunds work in the UK

Screwfix are getting worse. They are shooting themselves in the foot and wondering why it hurts. Their app is now even more difficult to use. They only supply things in bulk (packets of 5 etc). Only catering for trade which is no good if you only need one. They are starting to become more expensive. Tge staff are fantastic. Great to speak to. Compared to their closed competition, who seems to be on the ball and accommodates both trade and household customers at the same time. Keep it up Screwfix and we may see you closing stores.

The male that served me and the lady on the till next to him (Trudi) thought it would be acceptable to make jokes & comments about me being dyslexic. Thought it was highly amusing and was comparing me to Trudi's husband who is also apparently dyslexic, making me out to be thick as I said I would struggle to read the catalogue. I do not appreciate being discriminated against and will be taking this further with head office.

What is the point of buying materials online and then having to go into the store with the payment card to use chip & pin. There is no point in having an online checkout where you pay and then having to go into the store to make the same payment again. Truly inconvenient and not tailored towards trade customers! Selco and Wickes don’t require the extra hassle.

I was promised a delivery at the latest within 3 days for and urgently needed part . On your telephone recording it claims two days today I should have received my order and when I called this order had not even been dispatched. I have to pay for time booked for this job and now will have to pay again. After letting me down you haven't even given me a time for delivery. This job is urgently needed to be completed. The standard of these services is now seriously lacking. This has lost me my money.
