The hairdresser who cut my hair at the Sean Hanna Sutton salon was talking to the hairdresser next to her who was also cutting a ladies hair which I thought was rude and unprofessional which left me with an expensive bill and a bad haircut. I will not be returning.

I saw a stylist called jake. Throughout the treatment I felt low confidence, very disregarded and spoken to as if I had no idea about hair products etc. He made very unfair and immature comments, right up to comparing my hair to 'granny's hair' was his exact words. I would never come back nor reccomend. He was rude and always criticising my style of hair. Unacceptable and unprofessional

The lady who cut my hair acted friendly and couldn't have done a better job, however the lady who washed my hair was horrible. I explained to her before she started to wash my hair that I had received some awful news and so in the morning had just chucked my hair up in a bun. First she told me that my hair had turned to 'dreadlocks' and then when washing my hair she started joking with the girl next to her and saying things like 'can you imagine leaving the house with hair like this', when my stylist came over she joint in and they were all giggling. I do not know the name of the lady who washed my hair but she was pale, had mid length brown curly hair and was a slightly larger then most. 3rd time i've ever been to the Wimbledon Salon and will definitely never go back.

BOTCHED Balayage Tried to email head office, none of the emails seem to work. Really wanted to email to ask for the promotion of balayage to stop as what I saw on pictures and really wanted was too far from what I got. The service was rushed and was told after to get it lighter, might need a few attempts which would cost me over £300!! If I knew this at the beginning, I would have gone somewhere else as my hair is naturally light brown! Feeling even worse going back after the stylist said she would correct it making it lighter, she instead proceeded to add thick chunky colour blocks through the front when I asked many times to ensure it was kept natural! It now looks ridiculous! got my graduation on thursday & am feeling at a complete loss! Phoned another salon called Nero went to see them & they were horrified asking if I'd seen the back, I said I hadn't and it was pretty obvious that the back wasn't as half as light as the front. Also where these horrible chunky sections were, I now have a hideous line across so it looks like dip dye or box dye which was never what I wanted. I asked for baby lights at the front just to ensure it was kept natural, just wanted it lighter. Couldn't have been further from it, anyone considering this, please research and go somewhere else where the stylist really listens to you, not just rushes when you're paying a lot of money for this! If I knew this would happen, I would have never even considered it! So anyone drawn in by the promotional video, please please go somewhere else! My stylist did not even wear gloves or put the hair in packets, hence why it did not go light enough in the first place! Having done the front right first and ending up at the front left has also made my hair look ridiculous as one side is brighter than the other, with the back just looking brassy! Considering it's meant to be balayage it doesn't even look like ombre, there is nothing natural about how it now looks!! Please, please anyone reading this, go somewhere else!!!

Went into the Canary Wharf branch for a simple trim and long layers at the front. The 'stylist' looked like he had no clue what he was doing and absolutely butchered my hair! I could have cut it better myself! If someone can't even shampoo properly or cut simple layers then I'm not sure What on earth Sean Hanna are doing hiring them and charging customers £60 to have the displeasure of such stylists working on them! Extremely disappointed.

I am very disappointed today that words cannot explain! It has in fact ruin my whole day! I did say that I am only here for the "Try Before You Buy" The hairdresser asked me how I wanted my hair blow dried so I said straight. That is all I understood... He ended up giving me hair treament, I know nothing about... He didnt even tell me the price. I understand that English isn't his first language, but at least he could have shown me the pricelist. I found out at the counter that I have to pay for the treatment which was £15. I was shocked. I was embarrased at the counter because I had no money on me and the receptionist said I cant walk out without paying.. It felt as though I had commited a crime or something. Customers were looking at me. I managed to go to the bank to check my balance on my card to see I had enough money in my account. Luckily I had a little bit money left so i came back to the saloon and paid by card so that i have proof of purchase! I had left my details with the receptionist so that she could fill a form in for an official complaint. Also I want a full refund of £15 I am not happy to pay for something that I have not been informed about in advance. One hair treatment made no difference to my hair. Rather than treatment I would rather purchase a product! :(

I asked for a haircut (long bob - short at the back, long at the front) by what was advertised as a creative stylist, even showing a couple of photos of what I wanted; to aid the stylist. However, I was advised against a long bob as it may not be easy to manage and wasn't recommended to go from long hair to a long bob. My preference however not a preference for the stylist. She recommended keeping the hair a little longer at the front and slightly shorter at the back but with an angle to give it the same effect. However, after an hour of blow drying, cutting and combing I ended up with a regular cut (apparently Sean Hanna's signature 'teardrop' cut). Not best pleased and after a whole hour in the salon I had no interest in asking the stylist to correct it! As soon as I arrived home, I straightened my hair to have a closer look and it isn't much different to how I left the house earlier. If I wanted a trim, I would have got a trim, just 40 pounds less! Really frustrated that I booked with Sean Hanna and paid 52 pounds for a standard cut, no different to what I had. I asked for something different and the stylist wasn't able to perform. Disappointed!

I am really disappointed with my appointment I had yesterday. My appointment was at 3pm, I had a phone call at 2pm asking if I can change my appointment to later as the hairdresser was running late. I said on the phone I was really sorry but I couldn’t change it. The lady then said that I would have to wait because they were running late. (What was the point of asking if I can change my appointment time in the first place? I clearly had no choice!) When I got there I finally had my hair washed at 3.35pm! So I was sat doing nothing for 35mins. To top it off my hair wasn’t even washed properly and the lady who gave me my ‘Seanhanna head massage’ was so miserable. She wasn’t smiling and was scowling to the point where I felt too intimidated to even look her in the eyes. She was very off putting, and although I have sympathy that she was learning, she clearly never heard of a service with a smile. I was then sat from 3.50pm till 4.25pm with cold wet hair dripping into my ears as I was still waiting for my hairdresser! Granted he did apologise but another 35mins of waiting only this time I’m shivering cold! It took him all of 10mins to cut my hair, and then he had to rewash it as the lady who ‘washed’ it to begin with didn’t get all the shampoo out! I then had my hair blow dried, he didn’t even part my hair into sections like I normally have done and just rushed it! £102 later I finally left the salon at 5pm! Ridiculous, and poor service. This is the third time I have had an experience like this. Not on.

WENT IN FOR BLONDE ROOTS CAME OUT PINK 3.5 HOURS LATER,THEN DEMANDED I PAY! came in for a 11.40 appointment on Saturday 28th November to get my roots done. I have a blonde colour in my hair and my roots were showing through. I have had this done by numerous other hair dressers before with no problems at all and wanted to try your salon. The whole process with Sean Hanna Wimbledon can be described as nothing short of a nightmare. The girl doing my hair chatted to me first about what needed to be done and then confirmed with a senior colleague the correct product to use and length of time to leave it on. Once applied she went off to start someone else's hair and said she would pop back to check on me. She did this, numerous times, always saying I needed 5 to 10 mins longer, even when we were well over the time period that the senior hairdresser had said. In fact it was left in c20 mins longer than the time that had been suggested as a maximum. Eventually someone came to wash it off. I was at the wash basin for at least 40 mins in the end and could clearly tell something was wrong when hair dresser after hair dresser came over to wash it and then toner was put on, and scrubbed and scrubbed in more than I've ever experienced. I kept asking if something was wrong and was consistently told no. After having toner on my hair for at least 20 mins I finally had my hair washed and was sat in front of a mirror for a 'relaxing head massage'. This was the first time I got to see my hair which was now bright pink! I was mortified and very upset at this point. When the lady who had done my hair was called over I was told that 'these things happen sometimes' but that it wouldn't even notice when it was dry. This was a total lie because eventually, after drying my hair completely (burning me 3 times in the process, despite me saying each time that the hairdryer was too close to my head and burning me), it was still very pink! At this point she brought over another of your colourists who tried to say that this happened because my hair was too porous. When I told her that I'd had my hair coloured for years and this had never happened before the two of them finally admitted that both the initial colour and then toner had been left on too long. The solution they offered was for me to go home and that if I washed it ‘once or twice’ it would then come out. In the meantime I was told that it was your policy was that i needed to pay for the service. I couldn't believe this response. You seriously turn my hair pink and then expect me to pay for it! I was then told instead I could stay and one of your hairdressers would 'rectify the issue'. At this point I had already been in your salon for over 3 hours. I have a family at home and commitments to collect my husband and kids. I told your staff this and that I therefore couldn't stay. 3 hours was already a huge amount of time just to have roots touched up and to be honest, with the incompetence of your staff up to then, I really wouldn't have trusted them to do anything other than make it worse. This was when I was told very rudely by 2 different women that I therefore needed to pay regardless. You turned my hair pink and seriously expect me to pay for the pleasure of it! Your staff were in no way sympathetic to what they'd done to me and we're actually very rude. I couldn't have been treated worse! WROTE TO HEAD OFFICE regarding this and never heard back

Online booking was cancelled because stylist couldn't cut men's hair. No indication of that on booking system. Two emails sent asking for explanation. No response whatsoever - not even the courtesy of an acknowledgement.

I went to the Sutton Sean hanna today. It was a bank holiday. My appointment was at 1.45 pm and I had to stay for nearly 20 minutes to talk to somebody. After 20 minutes when somebody reached to me she was rudely telling me that I cannot ever go blonde. And sent me home, she degraded me and she was lazy because it was bank holiday. the staff in sutton only knows to chat in the reception. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!

Utterly rude!! I have called three times to the Sean Hanna in Canary wharf and the woman who took my call just hung up three times! The first time, I blamed it to the connection problem, when I tried again the second time I asked if there were any available appointment, she didn't response to me and hung up again. I have decided to give a last try and I said 'I have just called two times' from there she hung up again. I mean what the **** is that. I totally don't get it. She is totally rude and I will never visit the salon.

AVOID EPSOM BRANCH !!!! Left the branch upset, but thought I'd see how my hair was next day Went in simply for a trim. Repeatedly said NO layers please, now have hair SO thinned out, lots of layers with few layers reaching to top of my ear! The cut is wonky at sides and back too. My hairdressers kept moaning to another about wanting to leave on time and wouldn't now doing my hair! Hairdressers saw worry on my face in mirror told me not to worry would like it when done. For millionth time expressed no layers... but lots layers were appearing in my hair. Thought hair might 'settle' by today but actually in tears. With my hair going to take 9 months to grow this out!! In the mean time have to live my life everyday with this hair until it grows out... or I go get it cut very short in attempt to hide this mess which is not what I wanted.

Just had a walk in blow dry at Suttons brunch- what a disappointment! By the time I got home my hair looked like I've done my hair myself. I wasted a £35 for a blow dry and treatment. Save yourself time and money and do it yourself. Sadly I dint get know the " stylists" name otherwise would defiantly mention it.

I booked an appointment for cut and finish with the head stylist in the Cambridge salon. Later I thought I might need to perm my hair as well. When I called again to ask the availability of hair perming, the lady answered the phone was extremely impatient. I am suprised that a salon charging so much money has such poor customer service. The lady's name sounds like 'Jacky', when I checked the Cambridge website it's likely to be the store manager (Jacqui). If it is, then it's even more surprising that a store manager has such impatient attitude towards the customer.

I had appointment for hair colour. I have chosen stylstylist according to my budget. At the end they over charged after treatment finished no mention of money. Just expect me to pay whatever they asked. They charged me for blow dry 25pounds which they never mention it wasnt included. what they expect leave salon with wet hair. And applying permanent colour and charge me extra etc. Well sorry you need to make it clear how much you charge. Not expect me to pay whatever you ask. At the end i end up paying as i was late to work to deal with. I am going to take this matter further. Unfairly run business. sorry i am not working to pay you whatever you ask. Really really really disappointed.

I just visited the canary wharf branch and it was the worst hairdressing experience of my life!!! I asked for a basic cut blow dry and as I thought it was just Work in progress she asked me if I liked it. It did look like I was getting out of bed and it looked awful. I did know how to tell her so I asked kindly if maybe we could get her colleague to have a2nd pair of fresh eyes. 10mn after her colleague arrived shouting at me saying I upset her stylist and she did not see what was wrong with my hair (she said while my hair were at the top of my head and she clearly did not cut it in a nice shape). I felt so embarrassed when she raised her voice in front of clients especially as I am 5 months pregnant that I asked to simply leave. They did not made me paid but had to wait for another 10mn for my coat. I had no apologies. I was meeting a friend after who lives nearby she acknowledged my cut was bad. She was not surprised though as she went there once for a colour and she was hugely disappointed. Not sure how the other branches are, but I would not recommend it especially as the manager was really rude and has no sense if client service!

I have been coming to Sean Hannah for many years with the same hairdresser that I was very pleased about, but in the last 12 months the experience in your salon has deteriorated. The 1st of my experiences that have made me change hairdressers was last year I had a colour put on my hair by a new colourist, the colour was ok, BUT I don't think its appropriate for your staff to talk about their sexual exploits to customers, it was a relief when I returned 8 weeks to later to discover he had been sacked! Unfortunately I have heard that the hairdresser that I used to see regularly and recommended to family and friends also offended a relative about talking about inappropriate things. May I suggest that this needs to be addressed, that there is certain etiquette with customer relationships. I would like to point out that when the manager of the shop is present that sort of behavior does not happen. So since the experience with the colourist, I have been continually disappointed with the customer experience and therefore I have changed hairdressers, and I understand from my friends and relatives they have also jumped ship! Not being offered beverages, and when offered staff had forgotten to bring the drink! I signed up to the inner circle but I forgot my card and was unable to claim discount as you couldn't access my accont even though it is all done online, a failure there I think , as I am not alone with that issue. So sorry Sean , the experience in your Salon needs to be adddressed as the price of your haircuts/ colour is outrageous .

I've been a loyal and frequent customer for the past 18mths, receiving a full head colour each time. Whilst the crown has generally been the correct colour (after approx 1 week when the purple residue washes out) but have always had a dark band running around the lower section where the colour has not taken correctly. In addition to this for the past THREE appointments I have been telephoned half an hour prior to my time advising my ordered colour hadn't yet arrived! After a short conversation with the colour technician she offered to discuss my grievances with the salon manager and telephone me with a resolution, however one week on i am still waiting! Not at all happy regarding my colour or the way I have been treated.
