Sutton branch. First time in this saloon. Looking for a haircut. Naturally apprehensive as trying new place and possibly new hairdresser. I was offered appointment in 30min but told I have to pay in advance. When I said it doesn't feel right to pay for service before the job is done. I got reply that 'we could not please you anyway' Totally wrong and rude. Ofcourse I was already walking out on this attitude and would not come to any branch in the future after that experience. Train your stuff to show some respect to customers.

I used to go to Skyler salon and always had the best hair care and customer service. So I was assuming that Sean Hanna salon will be great and I booked in Putney. Unfortunately staff got covid and I have been moved to Wimbledon branch for last minute as I don’t live in London anymore. That was the worst experience I ever had. The girl who did my hair had 12 years experience. Probably with different type of hair. I did explain at the beginning that my hair are very fine and fragile. I booked for full head highlights and cut. Luckily I had a notes from Skyler what colours to use on my hair. If I wouldn’t had this not sure how would end. I know everyone does foils differently but this felt wrong from the start. After 30 minutes some foils has been taken off while I was waiting in the chair and she was still applying more. After another 30 minutes she has asked me to go take the wash area to wash my hair. I sat in wash area for 1 hour while she took my foils off and apply more colour and etc. She didn’t ask if the water temperature was okay and what is the next step. She did ask if I want head massage. After that she asked one of the trainee to wash my hair and brush them. That was another disaster, obviously this girl had no clue. My hair after the colour were so tangled up and wet and she just brushed my hair with different brush and half of my hair just stayed in the brush, I have asked for Tangle Teezer but they didn’t have one. So I asked if I can just brush my hair on my own, I did asked if they put leave it conditioner but she said they put oil in my hair. So strange. Then the colourist girl came back and just started to rumple my hair. Absolutely disaster. I was in the salon for 4 hours, next 45 minutes we had to sort out payment both girls had no clue. It was a nightmare, I’m sure the girl is good but don’t think she knows how to do highlights and her customer service was really bad same as the trainee girl. The only fantastic service I had over the phone when I was booking the appointment.

Chloe ruined my day. Haircut was terrible. I wished I went somewhere else

First a very bored and rude shampooist took me through, totally uninterested in her job. Great experience if you enjoy coloured neon lights in your face and a laughable massage chair, not so good if they loose a precious earring down the sink and proceed to show little or no concern. My stylist ignored EVERY request I made and proceeded to do his own thing. I repeatedly reminded him what I had asked for only to be ignored. He even agreed this with me at the end and apologised - not good enough, it took me over a year to grow my hair for this well known common hair style, and only 30 mins for him to cut it all off, despite me repeatedly asking for it to be left long. Fair enough, I was only charged my £20 deposit, but left ashamed to be out in public, without a treasured earring and down the cost of a hat so I could walk home in peace. In short, plenty of style in the salon, non in the staff or the cut!

DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR FROM MANAGER

Really poor cut from a senior stylist at Sean Hanna Wimbledon. My hair is 2 distinct chunks and was absolutely unmanageable within 2 weeks of having been 'styled'. Looks awful.

The toilet door lock was broken. Thankfully, another customer helped me to hold the door. Hairdresser, Amy did not give me the quality nor the standards expected from sean&hanna. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. I trusted that she was capable of styling and colouring my hair as per shown photos. Despite highlighting the fact that I was not happy with the end result as it did not match what I requested. Her response was “in your next appointment we can do half head at least the colour is even now”. It’s disappointing that the photo upload on here is not working properly to show you how different my hair is from what I wanted! My suggestion to anyone who is planning to use Sean&Hanna in Sutton stay away. There was another customer there when I was there and she didn’t like her haircut either!! Considering the price I paid I expected 5 Starr service!

Had an awful experience at the Worcester Park salon as they clearly do not take the Covid rules seriously. There was no attempt to social distance within the staff and at least 4 members of staff wore their mask with the nose out while cutting or washing hair. I had to ask my stylist to cover her nose 4 times while she was cutting my hair. I was given a robe to wear that was not hygenic. I said I wasn't comfortable wearing it but they very forcefully said I had to. I should have left. If there is a covid outbreak in Worcester Park, it will be easy to trace it back to Sean Hanna. The haircut wasn't great neither, I asked for shoulder length but they gave me chin length which I hate but I was too worried about the hygiene to even care about the hair.

I visited the Wimbledon salon on July 10th- have been a customer for many years and this is the first occasion i have had cause to complain. As a former NHS manager I wish to draw Sean’s attention to the hygiene safety standards there. I watched the Zoom information video so I am aware of the good attention intended for hygiene, safety and procedures put in place. However the Wimbledon branch failed in the following. 1. Some customers were not asked to put on their masks and conversations took place with masks off. 2. 1 member of staff constantly touched her mask and took it in and off making the purpose of wearing it redundant. This staff member had chosen not to wear her visor. 3. Chairs were not always sanitised between customers. 4. One stylist attempted to place another customer next to me at the basin - saying to other staff are we allowed to do this - at which point I felt I had to speak up. They did withdraw. 5. I asked when I booked my appointment if it would be possible to have one person colour and shampoo my hair as we have been shielding ( my husband has a cancerous brain tumour) - I was reassured - I was thinking I might need to delay my hair appointment - however I was reassured that one person only would work with me. I can see this might be difficult given the numbers seeking appointments however I made my decision to come based on the reassurance it would be one person. By the end of the appointment, and I concede I am more emotional at the moment, I was so anxious about risk that I was in tears. I did feed back my concerns at the time but there is a definite lack of leadership in the salon and a failure on the part of some staff to realise how vital the hygiene standards are to protect themselves and customers. I was surprised to see there were no screens between customers although perhaps the distance put in place between customers is sufficient to make screens unnecessary. I’m sorry to make these comments after so many years but it seems vital to address the safety of all concerned. Cheryl Hunter

Disaster haircut by Yunior. He did NOT listen to me. I showed him a picture of a girl with long hair. I have long hair but he cut what can only be described as a bob over some long bits at the back. He also cut my long bits at different levels. So I have one side 2 inches longer than the other. I have been left with mismatched layers above ear length. My hair was down to my bra. A total disgrace. Also since when was it customary to give a massage with the shampoo in and not the conditioner ? I am absolutely furious. I thought, wrongly that Sean Hanna was a well established hairdresser with well trained staff. When I complained the receptionist was very quick to offer a refund. I suspect that YUNIOR has had no training and I suggest that Sean Hanna only let STYLISTS on the floor when they have graduated. The worst £65 I ever spent. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON. be careful with your hair, go to a reputable hairdresser!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been attending Epsom for many months and on my last appointment had re-booked for today (22 January 2020). I was contacted by the salon and advised that Epsom would closed for a training day and would it be possible for me to attend my 5pm appointment at Worcester Park instead. Not only did I leave work early but was in traffic, so decided to contact the salon to advise I was running 5 minutes late. To my surprise the phone was diverted to Canary Wharf where I was advised that both Epsom and Worcester Park salons were closed due to a training day and would only re-open tomorrow. Considering it costs around £140 for a half head highlights and hair cut, this is appalling service. I will not be returning to Seam Hanna and shall find a competitor who values their clients This is the most unprofessional behaviour - I have an important event tomorrow and will never rely or trust Sean Hanna to be professional or be able to keep appointments or value clients again !

Horrible experience at Canary Wharf’ Seanhanna. Booked an appointment with Senior Stylist- Olivia, whose charges are £60 for haircut. Got appointment rescheduled and Erin, who is a junior stylist (& charges £45) provided his services. The receptionist was extremely rude and demanded a payment of £60 instead of £45. When asked why, she lied that Erin & Olivia are stylists at same level, whereas your website doest say so. The receptionist didnt hesitate to insult me, just because I was questioning the unreasonable demand of extra £15 she was asking for. Very disappointed with such unprofessional & rude behaviour of the staff of such a reputed salon! I wish there was an option to give negative stars. Am definitely not going back again, nor will recommend it to anyone in future.

Very unhappy with my last haircut with Stephanie at your Putney branch. She has been amazing on every previous occasion but I was very disappointed with my last cut. Uneven sides and too short on the top, a complete lack of detail. For the amount paid I was really questioning the value when I got home. Sean Hannah and Stephanie have been my go to place and its really a bummer for me as it takes me ages to find a new stylist. :-((

I've been going to Sean Hanna for haircuts the last last couple years and have had great experiences, but had the worst experience today. My hairstylist was Dan (Canary Wharf). He was less friendly and more rough with my hair than the usual stylist, which I ignored as it wasn't such a huge deal. Part way through my haircut, I mentioned that my hair was short, and shorter than I had expected - he immediately got very defensive and confrontational. I didn't even say it was a bad haircut or that I hated it. But at this point he kept trying to defend himself and say he had done exactly what I asked for, and also became condescending, asking me if I knew where my collarbone was and asking me to point this out to him (so he could prove he had done exactly as requested). I found this to be very aggressive. When speaking to the manager, her first reaction was also to defend him, rather than to understand my point of view and how her customer felt. It felt like the first assumption they have of their customers is that the customer is wrong. After a few minutes of me explaining what happened, she concluded that me and Dan's personality clashed but I felt she wasn't very apologetic about the way I was treated. To be honest, I didn't have an issue with the haircut, even if I was hoping to have my hair slightly longer, I wasn't going to make it a big deal, but the way Dan responded really upset me and I left the hair salon incredibly unhappy and shocked by the treatment I received.

I have been a loyal customer to Sean Hanna Canary Wharf for about 4 years. The only reason I continued to go back was because they provided a walk in blow dry for £25 - since it was the best rate in the area, I had previously ignored how rude the staff are etc. Today after my blow dry however they charged me £35 and said it was because all the rates have gone up. £35 for an aggressive hair washing (so aggressive I wanted to turn down the head massage), no offer of a drink, and poor customer service had me shaken. I would PERHAPS pay £35 for an excellent service, but Sean Hanna is no Taylor Taylor. - as I have read in a previous comment “avoid like the plague”

Had my hair cut today as I was in desperate need so popped in to see if had any availability which they did (first time customer) Decided I’d like a treatment but no head massage offered which I was looking forward to seeing as I hd a few hours spare without my child and wanted to enjoy every minute. Paid at the counter and No asking how it was or would I like to rebook. Paid £60 pounds for a haircut that I could’ve probably have done myself. Really poor customer service. No explaining of what products she was using on my hair. Was actually interested in purchasing new hair care but the girl was quick to process my bill and I had to awkwardly say goodbye not the other way round!

I had a horrible experience at seanhanna in Canary Wharf on the 1st is December last year. The girl who was suppose to do me a blow dry (Erin) was sick and I’ve been told a Turkish guy (bold with long beard) will do my hair. Also The receptionist told me that he is senior stylish but I’ll pay for a non senior stylish given the fact that the girl who was suppose to do my hair got sick. What a horrible experience as he burnt my hair and I’ve complained to him not to use too hot drier. I will never go to this salon as my hair got damaged, was smelling as burnt and I have also paid. Horrible experience with this salon.

Really poor treatment at the Wimbledon salon. Made to feel as though I was lying about a previous price I had been charged, despite the fact that the hairdresser who had charged this price was standing in front of me. A horrible way to be made to feel and entirely unprofessional. Disappointed as the previous cut had been great.

Far from the colourist professionals they advertise themselves to be at the Canary Wharf branch. I thought I had picked a reputable place to get my hair coloured for the first time. I was wrong. I paid almost £200 for a waste of time and money on a colour that isn’t even visible. I returned for advice and to rectify the colour but was approached by defensive members of staff who refused to provide the service I had paid for. Needless to say I will not be back. What a con.
