“Purchased top in sale. Not particularly cheap even then and wouldnt have bought at full price. Shocked to see the Made in China label. My own fault for not reading every word on their website. Have looked since and am amused that Seasalt think that any trade with such a totalitarian & dystopian state can possibly be ethical. I was under the impression that Seasalt supported local trade. A wake up call. Won't be buying again.”

“No returns label, not sent QR code to make a return, customer service telephone line "closed for training" for weeks on end, wrong product sent to me, have now almost lost the will to live. Avoid this company. It used to be quite good but things have really gone downhill over the last 12 months”

“I only realised recently that some Seasalt clothes were made in China under an 'ethical trading' deal. In my opinion there is nothing ethical whatsoever about China. After another UN damning report today about the treatment of the Uyghurs by the Chinese, I say shame on you, Seasalt, for continuing to trade with this country. I hope the owners/directors read this posting, but I doubt it.”

“Bought a cotton jumper on 6th June. Returned it within a week as preferred the other I had bought. It is now 24th July and still no refund. This is not the first time i have had to chase for a refund. They say they will sort it out tomorrow. Pretty slow service. I have bought a lot from them before via mail order. Will not be buying from them again.”

“Con artists. Trading on Cornwall's good name by selling cheap clothes made in China. Their 'locally sourced' products are just bath bombs, no clothes at all. Their website tries to excuse this behaviour by talking about sustainability and 'energy monitoring', but funding a totalitarian dictatorship for maximum profits just stinks.”

“As usual with clothing made in the Far East and India, the sizing and overall shape is terrible! Bought a Larissa shirt in my usual size 12 and found that the neck was HUGE! a good 4cms longer than my Boden shirts in size 12. Overall the fit was big and shapeless and the sleeves down to my knuckles. I’m afraid clothing not actually MADE in the UK seems to need a radical rethink of both dimensions and fit.”

“Was slightly bewildered that seasalt are now not putting invoice and returns labels in parcel, not everyone has a computer printer or smart phone to print of labels etc, all I guess to save thereselfs some money, just making things more difficult than they need be...”

“Purchased my sixth arusha tunic on Friday. So disappointed. Must b the fabric. All my others drape and fall. Keep shape but this one is more like a t-shirt - rides up and pulls across chest - wore it for a full day - out with grandson- so unable to return it - sadly will not b worn again - I love these tunics but will b vary wary before next purchase re the material”

“My experience today was an unhappy one l purchased four items and payment taken from my card I had a discount code which did not work best advice given by the person on the chat line was to purchase again and just return my original order I will return the items l ordered as she could not stop the order or offer me the discount Unhappy customer”

“The good bit is that the order arrived quickly and in paper packaging. However, for a company that promotes itself for being ethical I was astounded and deeply disappointed to discover that the slippers were made in China. It also made the high price a rip off. I thought I was getting a product made in the UK and therefore didn't mind paying a bit more. Will not be recommending.”

“Love Seasalt clothing but customer services are useless. I have emailed them twice but got no response . Also, the online ordering does not reflect the offers advertised ie tee shirts 2 for £40.00 but this offer did not show on the final bill and carged £22.5o per tee shirt. Their ethics are also questionable. They sell themselves as a UK company but their clothes are manufactored in China.. a country with appalling human and animal rights records.”

“I recently ordered 2 boxes of face masks from Seasalt and received an email to let me know that my order had arrived in store. When I arrived to pick up my order in the Belfast store today I immediately checked it and discovered that only 1 box had been sent. I asked to speak to the Branch Manager and was told that I was being aggressive when I was merely annoyed that half of my order was missing. The manager would need staff training on how to manage customers complaints as she was very unsympathetic and patronising. If she had been immediately apologetic instead of making excuses I would not have been as annoyed as I was. The frustrating thing was that the masks I had not received were on sale in the store. I suggested that they could give me the masks from the shop stock but was told they couldn’t. The customer service I received today was abysmal! If that is how customers are treated it is likely they will find somewhere else to shop!”

“Great product, terrible service Took forever to arrive, I purchased the items as a present for my girlfriend not for any special day, just as well because the service was one excuse after another. Shame the garments where excellent”
