“It is great that this is an option to create my own karaoke dvd, it was speedy and good quality. Some of the music on the tracks are not exactly the same and what would have been great is if there was an option, even if it cost more to have a proper dvd case and a menu screen to select the track rather than playing in succession. Overall a brilliant product! Will be using again.”

“first song i bought was everything i needed......bought Believe it or not by Joey Scarbury and on your site had no lead vocals when i downloaded it , it had vocals ....not too happy about it”

hi, thank you for shopping with us and taking the time to write a review, although it's a shame you decided to base your review on a service we dont do, rather than the one we actually did. We receive a huge amount of track requests, especially at this time of year, so unfortunately we are unable tom reply to every one. We do pass them on to the track manufacturers, but they also get large amounts of requests, and seeing that high quality tracks are so expensive to make (usually between £250-£500 per track) only very few requests actually get put in to production, because the manufacturers quite rightly need to certain they are going to make their money back before producing a track. If however you are happy to pay they pull production cost they will of course be happy to produce a custom track especially for you.

“I am one of the few people that still buy cdg discs, as most of my competitors use illegal downloads. Selectatrack have a good selection of tracks, but I think the price of £2.00 per track is excessive, given the ease with witch tracks can be recorded to disc nowadays with modern technology. Perhaps Selectatrack would like to consider this.”

Hi, thank you for shopping with us and for taking the time to leave a review, and for commenting on our good selection of tracks. Regarding the comments about the price, £2 is the standard price for the high quality karaoke tracks that we offer, whether it be from us or any of our suppliers or competitors. I think if you knew the process involved and the potential returns you would see how this is actually an extremely fair price. Getting audio recreations made of popular songs with real musicians playing real instruments is not cheap, on a complicated track with lots of instruments our suppliers can sometimes pay up to £300-£400 per recording. Then add the costs of time matching, texting and design and that price goes up even further. A retail value of 32 all of a sudden doesnt look too bad, especially when you consider VAT, processing charges, re-seller commission etc. Then consider how small our industry is compared to the normal pop charts, we don't have the luxury of millions of sales of a single track, far from it, so producers have to think very carefully when deciding whether to produce a karaoke track or not, because its a long road before you get close to breaking even. Generally most customers are happy to pay £2 for a high quality karaoke song that they want, because they appreciate the work involved. Reducing the retail value would have a marginal affect on sales (if any) and only mean there is even less opportunity for the producer to make money, meaning less karaoke songs get put in to production, which obviously inst good for anyone. I hope you find this informative, and appreciate the work of our high quality producers/suppliers a little bit more after reading this. Thanks, Gary.

“The disc was for my 60th birthday party everything was as expected except track 5 just a gigolo was a different version to the one we listened to and one of the ballads just ends abruptly but I will be ordering more for next party”

“You can pick the best sounding track out of the list of the same song. But you say some songs don't fade but they do and also you don't play enough to make your mind up, 30 secs isn't long enough. In some cases you only hear the lead break. I've purchased some tracks that have some of the backing vocals missing.”

Hi, If you happen to order a track that is marked "Faded Ending: No" and receive a faded version just drop us a message. SBI offer a 'track guarantee', and will replace any SBI purchased track that is found to have a faded ending with one that doesn't, free of charge. Unfortunately we are unable to extend the 30 second samples due to licensing, the 30 seconds should be enough time for you to get a feel for the track. All of our tracks are re-makes of the original minus only the lead vocal so any backing vocals should be included.

“I bought two tracks from Selectatrack. One of them was a genuine karaoke track and it was fine, but the other had clearly been run through software in an attempt to remove the vocals from an original track. You can still hear the echo of the vocals and the music is distorted. It's pretty much unusable.”

Hi, sorry to hear you are not happy with one of your tracks. I can assure you none of our tracks have attempted to remove vocals from an original track, so i'm not sure what you are hearing but it's not that. If you email our sales team with the details of the track you are not happy with they will look in to it. In the future please listen to the sample videos before purchasing so that if you are not totally happy with the quality then you can choose not to purchase.

“Although I was pleased with the disc I felt the Carol King track Will you Still Love Me tomorrow was far to fast compared with the original track which is what i thought I would receive. I was pleased that I received the disc quite quickly after I had ordered it. Overal I thought it was a good service.”

“Bit of a rip off. Decent selection BUT paid for tracks and the links expired before I had time to sit and download them, so had to pay again. I'll be using a different site from now on for my business”

Sorry you felt the need to label us "a bit of a rip off", our website very clearly states that the download links will expire after 48 hours for security reasons, however if you need a copy of your tracks after this time you just need to contact us and we will email them over. There really was no need to pay for them again, you just needed to ask us and we would have sent them totally free of charge. We are of course still happy to do so, and offer replacement tracks for the duplicate order, just drop an email to sales@selectatrack.com. Thanks

“I'am looking for music from 50s, 60s, old time stuff. You only had 5 songs and I spent an hour finding those 5 songs. Your percentage was probably 15% of having what I was needing.”

Hi, sorry to hear you couldn't find the tracks you were after. We do carry the worlds largest collection of karaoke songs, so if we don't have them there is a good chance they have never been made on karaoke, however we wish you luck on your search :o)

“I puchased 15 items, could download only 14 - as soon as I recognized this problem I informed you via EMail ans asked for help to solve this download-problem. Unfortunately I am still waiting for an answer and your help...... The item concerned is "Al Jarreau - We're in this love together" MP3+G / Sunfly and unfortunately the download time expired already without any solution! So I am happy with 14 bought and paid items, and unhappy with 1 paid but not possible to download! best regards Eva Stejskal”

“I've found downloads Good to O.K. I feel free singing lessons is not a fair reward for Good Cuctomers. A free download for X amount of downloads is a very fair reward for good,loyal customers. Also, not having the CHOICE of ordering just a SINGLE download stinks.”

“wanted to buy a number of songs using a visa card and failed as the connection kept timing out on me as the process was slow, had to get a friend to use there PayPal account. Had a voucher number which when entered should allow me to buy songs for a £1 didn't work, so not a good first time experience”
