Enjoyable...but for me, as I was travelling alone....found it difficult to meet anyone, as most of the travelers were with a friend, or a group and didn't want to be inclusive....A singles tour for the over 65 group would have been best for me... Also, the sightseeing was OK..in Paris..travelling to the "spot" took some time... NO, I wouldn't do it again..!!!!

We have travelled twice with Seniors Discovery Tours. The first time was to Newfoundland about 3 years ago. The trip itself was good but the way the tour guide handled the disembarking each evening was not well organized and actually became quite stressful. The bus aisle was extremely narrow and we were told to get our carryons our from the overhead bins which then blocked the aisle while she went into the hotel to get the keys. As she called out our names, seniors couldn’t move forward. Extremely inefficient! Second tour 2 years ago was a cruise around South America. The first couple of days included a land tour which was very well done. We felt that the tour guide could have arranged a few optional tours while on the cruise especially when being tendered. It was just by chance that a few of us got together and negotiated a couple of city tours. She could have done that for us. We didn’t feel she went out of her way.

Unable to rate, as I have not been on a tour. One was cancelled due to COVID-19 and the other was cancelled because my travelling companion could not go on the river cruise.

Some Managers are excellent while others need more training or empathy. Some let you know how to dress for the weather or the place you are visiting. Some care about what happens to people on their trip and under their care.

We have had mixed results with the quality of the tour managers. We outlined our concerns with one tour manager in particular but got no acknowledgement your management.

We went to Morocco with you. The variety and quality of the destinations and accommodation was very good. There were downsides: 1. The guide on the bus was hard to understand, and not just by me. I have severe hearing difficulties, so asked to be seated near the front of the bus (not at the front). The tour leader said she would check with the office. Request declined. After return from the trip I became aware that compliance with my request would not have made any difference, since my hearing problem is caused by my incapacity to differentiate sounds. However on one occasion, during a tour of historic buildings, I was able to understand the local guide, and was not the only one who found a difference in understanding. So I must conclude that the selection of your on- bus guide should seriously emphasize the clarity, and perhaps pitch of the voice of a guide- to -be. Luckily, I was prepared to accept that I would not understand much, and expected to bridge that by interesting myself in the site environments, during destination visits. What I did not take into consideration was the fact that most of the talking of the guide would take place on the bus, where the best alternate activity was looking out the window. Which brings me to point 2. of the downsides: too much time on the bus. Most of the older persons would be well served by being afforded some time for exercise. There was too little opportunity for that. If anyone was not prepared to do some physical activity, or could not, then those of us who try to keep physical exercise in our daily lives should not be deprived of that opportunity, if at all possible. And too much time on the bus does not help. Ok, that is it. You asked for comments, and I hope mine can be of assistance. Klaus Wehrenberg, Aurora

As a senior, I find your tours have too much walking and too much repetition of itinerary. In Japan too many visits to temples: no tea ceremony, no geisha history, just modern Japan. The hotels were good, for the most part. I like the fact that the meals were all included. I'm not fond of evening buffets. I walk with a cane and the majority of your trips say, we have to be fit walkers. I'd like to see more sights and drive directly to them. I also like my own room, thus your trips are more costly. I don't like gratuities for tour managers because they don't do anything but take you to hotels and get you on the bus. Local guides are good. Also my taxi ride home at Winnipeg wasn't there and I had to call him to pick me up. He should have had a sign outside at the air port so I could tell where he was. He said he was there but didn't find me and left. Your trips are expensive but I like the fact that, for the most part, all is paid up front. I don't do payments on the internet and like tickets, itinerary and whatever I need sent to me by paper mail. Most trips of yours are not available to me because of walking, and I use a cane. Also you don't have a direct office link in Winnipeg, and I like to see a travel agent. Also, I'd like better quality seating on planes, and there doesn't seem to be a choice for upgrades. Your brochures are attractive. Single supplements are too high. I see your ads in the Winnipeg Free Press. Seniors need more options for travel.

The places you choose for highlights on the tour are very poor & not interesting. The bus rides are too lengthy with everyone falling asleep. Some of the hotel rooms were dark & dismal. The most disappointing thing was the lack of good pubs. Your idea of a pub meal was to separate everyone from the local entertainment rather than let us enjoy the pubs & enjoy the singing & local atmonphere.

Was acceptable on some travels. It all depends on the Tour Manager. France we were disappointed, wine is the best but when the Tour Manager decides on one glass quite disappointing, Senior Discovery should tell you in advance no wine then we pay our own. China trip was the worse Tour Manager. He was there for the money.

We went in the fall of 2019. South of France, Monaco and cinque terra . We had a terrible tour guide named Sharma. She was of no help whatsoever. Would have been better with no guide. My husband used our maps to guide people when walking to restaurants. She had us lost numerous times. She made rude comments about some of the group members to us. Totally unprofessional. She treated the tour like it was her vacation. Turned us off SDT.

My partner and I were on a tour of Hawaii with you folks from Feb 20 to March 5. We sent a letter to your president expressing your concern's about meals and the accommodations at our first stay. The return letter was obviously a standard form signed by him, because it referred to that fact that no compensation could be offered when we did not ask for one. We only questioned the reason for not receiving some of the meals and a tour that was on the list but was not given, something that was offered when we booked in November 2019. Others on the Tour were going to write to you on the subject. I hope they did. B Price

We have taken two tours with Seniors and there is a lot to commend them. The tour guides are knowledgeable and unfailingly helpful and the group is fun and diverse. I would like to see better accommodation and in the heart of things rather than cheaper accommodation on the outskirts. return to hotel was generally around 4pm and if you are in the burbs and don't drink there is not much to do in the evening. For instance we had only one day in Venice and half the time was taken up getting there and returning to the hotel in Lido de Jessolo which is NOT Venice.
