“Went on your trip to Devon and Cornwall about three years ago, which was my first time traveling with SDT. The bus driver was phenomenal. Fantastic driver and would do and did do anything asked of him. The accommodations could have been better. One hotel had no elevator, which we thought was not a cool move especially with a seniors tour. Rooms were old, small and required major updating. Tour guide had never been to Devon and Cornwall, but we had an excellent hop on tour guide. Still, I would go with Seniors again. Everything was included. Meals were great! Great group of people on that tour.”
“I have spent approximately $35-$40,000 with Senior Tours. My experiences were always excellent with Senior Discovery Tours up until my last trip to Tanzania where I was abandoned by our guide when I was stopped at the airport. Our guide with a small group of approximately 12 people continued through leaving me and my travel partner on our own to deal with the airport authorities who searched me to the point of feeling violated and charged us an arbitrary tax for wooden carvings and stole items from my luggage. Great trip (except for the airport experience) but when I called the manager to express my concern around the guide abandoning us I was less than pleased with the response from the manager. So I likely will not be using Senior Discovery Tours. I would have given 5 out of 5 stars but my last experience specific to the guide dropped my rating to 1 star.”
“Compared to other tour companies we have used Senior Discovery Tours was "very poor" versus companies like Insight/Alba/Globus/etc - we went to Greece - stuffed on a plane where my wife and I couldn't sit together - provided with a tour guide who travelled there for the first time and ended up spraining her ankle and couldn't look after some of the more needy people which we ended up doing - no farewell dinner special celebration - accommodation in santorini looking out a basement window onto a parking lot - same bland buffet dinner every nite in athens - a drunk local guide on one excursion - and when i submitted my complaints at the end of the trip to your president (Danny) - they were dismissed -”

“I travelled to Hawaii with Seniors Discovery this year, in February, with Fran as my tour director. I told you that it was the worst vacation experience I have ever had, and I will NEVER be travelling with you again. I have travelled to Vegas with you before and that tour director was excellent.”
“I enjoyed them at first very much but they seem to be catering to a younger generation of seniors now. By that you include extensive walking tours and stairs which I have been unable to do because of hip surgery. I am still vary of stairs without railings so most tours do not apply to me. I wish you the best.”
“I was the tour manager for last fall qm2. It was only my second time, the previous year it was my first. The first time I was actually trained and informed for about 3 hours, things were very well explained to me. The following year, it was expected of me to remember everything and was not advised on anything, I was given my package and that was it. I honestly didn’t think I was going to do this again and had no ideas to how I was to handle the second trip. I believed I was doing a good job until I came back and was advised that my services were no longer needed by your company. I did explain that I was not advised on anything the second time and was told I should have used my imagination! I worked for air canada and Canadian airlines combined for 43 years and was a top agent, and if we were off for one year we were given a week refresher training , as any well organized company would do. I was treated like an imbecile by your manager in Toronto and was made to feel totally inadequate! This upset me quite a bit, so you may look into refresher training to managers who do this only once a year.

“There is a letter coming to you when things settle down. I feel you need to rethink this whole trip. It was certainly not what I had expected from Senior’s Travel. From the accommodations to the food everything was below standard. I have travelled with many companies and this was the most disappointing tour I have ever been on.”
“Went to cape cod. Cheap restaurants and inexpensive hotels. Too much busing. Only stayed in Boston to go to the market. Was not at all impressed with the trip. One good thing....Guide was lovely Karen Bryce”
