“The oak rail arrived well packaged after a quick sanding and a couple of coats of oil it looked great. The fixings were perfect and a great fit for the woodwork. The screws were poor quality and one bent when trying to attach the ends. Other than that very happy with the product.”

“Main wooden Handrail looked good at first, but ends had some defects and there were NO instructions with the pack For non experienced DIY customers it was tricky to fit. Nothing to say what height the rail should be at, what distance to fit the brackets, how to ensure the metal ends fitted snugly, etc”

Good Afternoon Carol, Thank you for your review. We are a family business and we all take the reviews to heart whether good or bad. We had no idea there was an issue with your handrail, and if we did we would of actioned this straight away, which once we saw this review we did try and rectify. All instructions are located on the same page on the website where the initial purchase was made, we also do send them via email if the customer requests them. After having follow on conversation with the customer, it appears that there wasn't any issue with the rail, it appears that the end cap/ oak have been marked or damaged during installation. Which if we had sent instructions would of been avoided. The customer and Simple Handrail's agreed that it was best to write a reply to the initial review to help future customers. “The communication was excellent, I didn't need any help as the website is simple to use and navigate to what you want. All the components were of very good quality except the pan head screws that kept snapping, so swapped them out for better quality ones. The 3.6m single length was excellent, and the packaging for delivery was more than adequate. Customer was very happy, with the finish, so the price is reflective of the quality. Would definitely recommend and use again.”

“Ordered a steel handrail for outside, by the kitchen door. Good telephone contact - when i had neglected to prove the house number! Despached quickly, and arrived on the day promised. Now put up; profuct is well made, and looks excellent. A good experience”

“The rail arrived on time, it appears of good quality and was pre drilled for the brackets. No instructions, but came with screws and rawlplugs. Pretty straightforward to fit for the average DIYer.”

“Packaging was somewhat unprofessional, and some items were duplicated whilst others were just adequate. However, we are very pleased with the product. One possibly useful idea would be to fix the plastic inserts in place before delivery. I found it quite difficult to drill exactly in the centre.”

“Ordered by phone, received immediate email confirmation which was correct in every detail. Handrail was delivered on the date given with emails from the carrier giving the time of delivery. All items in the order were securely packed and correct in every respect. Very impressed with quality and service.”
