“to be honest, it’s kind of hard to get in touch with doctors at a reasonable time when you need them. it makes everything a little harder since they reply a day or two later. not to mention, i am experiencing some weird symptoms and i’m not really getting any real answers from the doctors or the people of simple health.”

“I'm not sure how much info to include here, so I'll just go for it and tell you the whole story. This was a simple, easy, and uncomplicated process for me. I recently relocated from CA to MT and, although I am working remotely, my health insurance changed to a very basic coverage since I was no longer in the Kaiser area. I have been off BC for many years--after having two children and partner who's had a vasectomy, plus being in my mid-forties, pregnancy is not a major concern. I do, however, have PCOS and fibroids. Several years ago, a GYN suggested I go back on the pill for the PCOS or have an IUD for the fibroids. Unfortunately, one doesn't treat both, so I have to choose which is worse. Long story short, things have been getting really unpleasant over a couple of years, so I went with trying to treat the PCOS. Because my insurance only covers one physical per year, I don't have a lot of options. And because it recently changed and we're outside of open enrollment, I can't upgrade or check out the ACA options. I first went to a pharmacy to get OTC pills, but "we don't do that here." I read about online options and found Simple Health after a google search and reading reviews. There are a few providers who say they can Rx BC online, but I went with this one because they mail to you, do the insurance billing, and have a relatively comprehensive screening prior to approving your request. It helps to know your body, your needs, what you've tried in the past, and to be able to express all of that; for some women, it may be more beneficial to have a one-on-one with a doc, but I know that's not possible for some. I knew I'd probably need to go on a progestin-only pill and that's exactly what the doctor prescribed. I paid $20 for an annual fee and my Rx coverage took care of the rest. I was sent a 90-day supply and the next will be sent prior to the first 3 months being used. There was a lot of helpful information in the package and I received text updates throughout the process to let me know where everything stood. I can't say for certain if what was prescribed is going to be extremely helpful for me yet (I have some significant side effects during my period). I've only just started month 2 on the pill. But I'll revisit with a doc again in about 6 months if I haven't seen much improvement in symptoms. This is a much-needed and much-appreciated service from which many woman can probably benefit. I can only speak for my specific experience, but I am really glad to have found it.”

“simple health is super easy! they don’t accept my insurance, but i pay out of pocket for convenience reasons. my prescription works well for me & the customer service team is great. i can text them whenever i have questions. i’m only knocking one star because i had a small reaction at first. the entire inside of my mouth was peeling when i first started the pill (which this same thing happened to a couple of my friends when they first started their pills). i asked the customer service team about it and waited for a reply from the doctor. the customer service team was great, but the doctor offered no help. the doctor pretty much said it would be an usual side effect & to visit an urgent care if it continued. thankfully, it only lasted maybe a week. but i wish i could’ve video chatted with the doctor or called. maybe sent them pictures of my mouth. i just overall wish they would’ve offered more help. maybe this is a feature they can add in the future, or if this is already a feature i was not offered or told about it. otherwise, i love simple health!”

“I was sent a totally new brand without being informed that my prescription was being changed. i’m not sure if it was an accident but it made me feel uneasy because every single brand is different. not sure if i’ll continue using this service.”
