Absolutely terrible experience today. I went in about noon with my kids to trade in and buy a new Viola for school. The guy that served us was a Cello player and immediately said that he don’t know Viola. Then he proceeds to say that he won’t accept a trade in (the instrument was bought through Simply for String originally) and there was nothing wrong with it. Anyway, long strong short. I won’t be returning to this shop and I will be telling others about the poor service which we received. We have been loyal customers for almost 7 years. Simply for String, you have now lost us as your customer.

Tight. They charged me $12 postage for 2 stickers. The cost of a letter!!! I requested maybe a few extra stickers for goodwill..I was fobbed off. I won’t recommend them at all!

Hi Pamela, thanks for your feedback. All our orders are sent through insured and tracked postage to ensure your parcel arrives safely. This protects us as the sender, but more importantly, you as the receiver. I want to assure you, we do not charge customers more for shipping than what it costs us. Your parcel cost $14.08 to send so we actually absorb some of the shipping cost out of goodwill, hence why we cannot give more product for free. Delivery time was really poor: I ordered my items (that were listed as in stock) with priority shipping (which the site indicates as within 1 business day) on 11th May - but I did not receive my items until 30th May.

Hi Rachel, I'm really sorry to hear you didn't receive the usual Simply for Strings experience. We're very sorry the website indicated both items were in stock. You should have received an email update on the 12th of May notifying you of the order processing delay. I can see your order was dispatched on the 19th of May and sent via Express Post which is usually 1 business day transit time. Unfortunately, your parcel was incorrectly sorted by Australia Post and ended up in the Gladstone sorting centre before being redirected to VIC. Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay and are glad your items finally arrived to you. We appreciate your feedback and I will pass it on to our Warehouse team. its all sorted now but when i was ordering these products, I called the shop to make sure thats the right size and weigh what i wanted. The male shop assistant was not very helpfull at all and was annoyed with my questions. i wanted to reach to over $100 so i can get a free postage so i asked him whats the go with that with ordeting out of stock product with available product to reach to $100. He replied that i just have to order whats available and out of stock order, he will keep an eye on it and send them all together when they received a stock. so i have orderded whats currently available However, i have recieved whats currently available with postage charge. i wasnt happy at all. called to speak to manager Matiese. Also, when i recieved a bow, it was 1/16 sise. not 1/10 size at all. So Matiese organised for return slip and sent me a right size for us. its just messy and not good customer servise. i dont know if i would recommend to anyone..
