They dont honour a 12 month warranty on their products. Be warned ! Better off going to your local skate shop.

I was very disappointed. I ordered a grip tape I wanted and when it arrived it wasn’t what I had ordered. When I contacted skate society they told me it was because my ordered grip wasn’t in stock anymore. That not what I was upset it was that the grip I was sent I didn’t like nor would I of ordered it. If I would’ve been told I would’ve ordered a different grip of my liking

Very disappointed with my experience at the Skate Society shop. One of the staff (perhaps the owner) was in such a hurry to walk out the door on the dot of closing time, they came out and very harshly advised the store was closing and said there wasn't time to be trying on skates. They didn't check in with myself or the staff member serving me to see where we were at in the sales process and made an incorrect assumption. I had in fact been trying skates on for approximately 20 minutes and was just finalising details with the staff member serving me to order the correct size of a chosen pair of skates as the store didn't have much stock or my size. When I went to correct the arrogant women and let her know what was happening she proceeded to call me rude!! Which is in fact very rude. Even if she was impatient and considered my factual advice unhelpful she could have kept her opinion to herself and politely ended the interaction. What was going to be a joyful and exciting shopping adventure turned quickly sour based on the rude arrogant treatment received. Thankfully there are other options to purchase the skates I wanted and I very happily gave an alternate company $450 not long after walking out the door of Skate Society. Recommend shopping elsewhere if you want a little respect....

Very sorry to hear about your disappointment Anonymous. We remember the day in question, and it certainly was not on the dot of closing time but rather 10-15 minutes past closing time. Incredibly sorry that our "opinion" does not match your "factual advice" here, I understand it can be uncomfortable to confront reality when woefully unprepared. You had actually, in our opinion, been trying on skates for about 40 minutes, which is fine - just today we spent 2 hours with one customer and not long ago a customer who came in at opening (10am) left at 2pm with staff staying with them through their lunch break to ensure their needs were met. As a company owned and staffed by neurodiverse individuals this is a point of pride for us. The time spent is never an issue, as we understand that everyone has different complex needs and aim to cater for that. The issue only ever arises when people feel entitled to come in 10 minutes before closing and recieve that same level of care and attention even if it means that our staffs children cannot be collected from OSH in time, or eat dinner at a reasonable hour to be nice and rested and ready for tomorrows challenges. If coming in earlier is difficult, which we understand with busy life schedules it can be, we are always open to people coming in over multiple days and trips to decide on their big purchases. We endeavor to make sure all staff are across interactions like this so it can be a seamless journey for the customer. This was always available to you and we are very sorry that you decided to randomly fly off the handle at a kind, gentle and overdue reminder that our day was coming to a close instead. If losing your business is the price of having our staff free of gaslighting and narcissistic abuse, we are happy to pay it. Respect is given, not earned. However, it can be easily lost. Still have not received my parcel. I am based in New Zealand and its been 3 weeks now since I ordered my knee pads and socks. Recently I ordered something from Poland and separately something from Germany and both items were delivered within a week. You should think about a different shipping service!

I have been absolutely appalled at the customer service, my item arrived, it was not satisfactory, in fact it did not do the job at all, I tried to call several times during a normal business day and no one was answering calls. I sent it back straight away, via express post, no one was answering emails that day either and after I sent it back, they told me they don't do refunds. I expressed my concerns and they dug even deeper and refused. I felt really disrespected as a new customer especially when I could have shopped anywhere else. Won't be shopping there again. To be honest, i have never been treated so poorly in my life.

Hi - The skates are fine, they are great in fact. However the service received from Skate Society was disappointing. I purchased a pair of skates for Xmas for my daughter. All she wanted was to take them on our holiday. They were too small and we were leaving straight after Xmas so I asked if I could order a new pair so they would arrive quickly and then return the smaller pair for a refund. (So essentially an exchange, but just wanting to make it quicker so my daughter would have the skates for our holiday). This was denied. I had already ordered the new skates from skate society so I am stuck with an instore credit that I do not need. If I'd known they would have denied the refund I would have purchased the bigger skates elsewhere to prevent spending anymore money in a store that wouldn't help me out with such an easy request.

First time purchasing from this company, I purchased the four way skate ramp. After receiving this product, the box was damaged and after opening the box the skate ramps had scratch marks all over over it. Once I had contacted skate society with sufficient images and a video of me opening the box to see all the scratch marks they said this is just what you should expect from a product and delivery and it getting thrown around in transit. This skate ramp was meant to be a gift for my nephew, I paid $229 and I’m expected to give him this Christmas gift all scratched. I have contacted fair trading but this is a warning to not buy from this company, unless you are happy with damaged items.

Believe it or not I haven’t received my skates! Your choice of delivery service is so poor, that I don’t even know where my skates are or how to get them. I spoke to Amy yesterday and she tried to help, but I don’t think her request with the delivery service was registered, because I still don’t have my skates.

The item is awesome but it wasn't even delivered properly and on time. I wrote down my address correctly and then it got sent to Sydney (where I don't even live) by mistake. What a silly delivery not happy with it 👎

Really disapointed with the customer service I received. I waited over two months for my order delivery. I called to follow it up and the lady said she would find out what was happening and call me back. No call back. I then emailed with my order number and confirmation (from two months ago). I finally got an email saying it was being posted. But no explanation or apology for the delay in the email. I would never order from this company again. Really poor effort in communication and simply frustrating.

I have been trying to return faulty skates for over a month now. Will someone in customer service please answer my emails! I've made multiple purchases of other wheels and accessories from this company and everything arrives super quick which is great. But I have spent hundreds of dollars to get into skating and I am stuck with skates that I can't use.

It’s impossible to give a review on the skates themselves. They were ordered on 4 October with a scheduled delivery date of 14 October, in time for my grandson’s birthday. At the time of writing on 20 October, with the birthday several days past, the skates have still not been delivered. A $17.70 shipping charge seems to buy only disappointment. I accept that Covid-19 has had an impact on delivery dates, but over 2 weeks is a failure by any measure.

Terrible experience,no stock available to exchange and refused to refund so I now have an incorrectly sized product with no options. Customer service some of the worst I've experienced, super slow responses to email and downright rude Would not recommend buying from here.

You haven’t answered my email complaint for nearly a week, it’s not going to be a good review. Offering the minimum legal requirement of exchange or voucher, when you have bare levels of stock, and for the foreseeable future, isn’t a customer centric perspective. I’m really Very unhappy with the service. The correspondence was defensive and unhelpful and has been outstanding for over a week. I will not shop with you again and will advise people in the community to avoid your business. A simple refund and more polite service would have avoided loosing a customer and gaining bad reputation.

I was disappointed with my experience when making a purchase at this store. I explained that I’m new to skating and don’t have any knowledge on roller skates.. i was given half information and therefore made a purchase that didn’t particularly suit my needs. I felt like I had to repeat the same question multiple times to try and squeeze an answer out of them, which I still didn’t get a proper response. I asked for a refund on my purchase 10 minutes after paying for it and they had unreasonably refused. They had also gossiped and laughed about another customer that had just left the store, which I found appalling. I walked out of the store miserable, feeling “dumb” and like I’d wasted my money. I will not be shopping here again.
