“I ordered an paid for a specific motor for repower, what received was another ,, customer support was.poor. in not knowing their products. Sent me wrong parts when I told them what I needed, I had to machine parts myself to get anything close to working. Support techs not answering phone calls or messages,”
“Is 1 September and John Deere still has not finished the engine replacement in my 445 tractor. They say they are waiting for your instruction on how to get the throttle assembly to connect to the 445 dash. What was supposed to be a 4 hour replacement is now going on month 3. Between you and John Deere there is a real problem - you say you engine replaces the 445 original engine yet John Deere cant get it to work.
From early July,
Received engine timely, delivered to John Deere Watertown NY. The engine is installed but doesn’t fit / align with the 445 tractor assembly. They have been trying to connect with your service people but nobody has responded. Every time they try to reach you, they charge me labor.
Should I just send the motor back? It will not connect.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you faced with the engine not fitting or aligning with the 445 tractor assembly. We understand how frustrating this must be for you, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. However, the delay has been due to not receiving the photos necessary for our tech and shop to look over before returning a call to your tech. We did finally receive them yesterday afternoon and our tech and shop are currently looking at them now in order to get back to your tech today.
Regarding whether to send the motor back, we recommend not taking any further action until our service team can review the situation and provide you with the necessary guidance.
“My experience purchasing my replacement motor was great. Thats where the experience definitely changed. I haven’t gotten any response from anyone on helping with the issues I’ve had not being able to get the motor to run correctly since then. I have made countless calls and sent the requested pictures of the motor. But haven’t received an ounce of help and it’s been over a week. I will not suggest anyone uses this company. If you pay $3300 for a replacement lawn mower engine you should get better customer service.”
“Got the engine fast a few days got it in stalled and wouldn’t start. Checked wiring twice everything was right. Called and talked to troubleshooting sent me out new parts that didn’t fix the problem. Since they sent me parts they closed my help ticket. now when I called and told them it didn’t fix it I get tossed to the end of the line. It’s been almost a month and my grass is tall and my city has Wrote me a ticket.”
“I ordered a part The person that took my order did not know what they were doing. I ordered a part. It was a wrong part. I gave him the serial number. I gave him the size of the motor I gave him the model number. I gave him every number that I had on that motor and I got the part. I put the thing together. Spent several hours putting it together. And find out this is not even the part that's supposed to be even automotive. That person needs to be fired. I am sending the product back. I hope I can hear from somebody and have a little concern for a customer. Thank you and have a nice day.”

“I bought an engine from you in July 2023. After installing it I found there was no starter solenoid. I contacted the salesman about it. He sent me to a parts service person. He told me that they did not supply it with the engine. I had to buy a after market solenoid. Please tell me how you start an engine with out one? Your instructions falled to mention that JD 318 has to reposition the engine mounting brackets. I now have to lift the engine up off the frame to readjust so that my snow blower pulleys to line up with clutch.. I now have to reposition the after market solinoid will no longer work were I mounted it. I felt I was not fairly treated by your company.”
