quality product at a reasonable price. I own an independant small engine repair shop and look for these two things. That said I also look for a supplier that has the part(s) I need in stock and ready to ship. In this case it was a carburetor for a Kohler engine. The website said they had 17 in stock. Three days later I received an email stating they had none in stock and would have to ship from one of their suppliers. It was a week later that I received the carburetor. This caused me undo problems trying to explain to my customer that the supplier did not have it in stock. The customer was very unhappy which made me very unhappy. If I order from SEW again I will be sure it is something I do not need in a hurry. I have a list of companies that tell tales about having something in stock when they know they do not have it. I only order from them when I am in no hurry. SEW has lost most of my business over this order and one other from several months ago. their loss.

Hi Randal, thank you for your feedback. I just sent you an email with an update on the status of your shipment. I sincerely apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, once a package leaves our facility and is in the carrier's possession, we no longer have control over any shipping delays or routing issues that may occur. Based on the latest tracking information, it appears your package is now on the correct route and is headed your way. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to help.

Website said that they had the part in stock, and I only got an email after I purchased it that they didn't have it in stock. The part arrived as described, and shipping was relatively quick considering it was a drop-shipped order. I visited the site again to see if they had another part for the same engine and they didn't list it, not even as drop-ship only. Overall, fine experience. I would definitely buy stuff from here again, but I wouldn't check here first.

I asked a few technical questions and I was promised that someone would get back to me with the answers. I’m still waiting for the answers. The price and selection of engines was great.

Thanks for the review, James. I do show you calling in on the day you placed the order online, however I do not show any follow up calls for the phone number on your profile. I have opened up a customer case for you and emailed you from the case. Thank you.

Not an exact replacement, Had to shim it up 1/2" and widen the mounting plate slots 1/4" on both sides of the motor plate.

Shipping was painfully slow, if it shows in stock it should ship within a reasonable timeframe.

Was happy you were able to get the part. Was a bit perturbed that the website said there were 18 in stock so I spent extra to expedite shipping only to find out later that the part had to be ordered from the manufacturer. This costs me time having to reschedule my work.

I bought a 6.5hp Briggs & Stratton Professional Series Engine, Horizontal 3/4x2-27/64 Shaft, Recoil Start Briggs & Stratton 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty. A little over a year ago. When I installed it it started right up. I used for about 30 min. Then it sat for 3 months. Then it wouldn't start. Turns out the float was stuck. Then I ran it again for about 30 min. It had a miss in it then. Then it sat again over the winter. when I tried to start it it wouldn't run. Pretty sure the float was stuck again. I hit with my dead blow mallet a couple of times then it started but still had that miss. So I'm not happy about this motor. I guess I have a 2 year warranty.

If you know what engine you need, this place is great. If you want to order specific parts, they have no clue what they have. I found what I need after searching the website extensively. Most of my order looked good but the motor mounts don't fit as intended and will take some rework. Package was stuffed to the gills and as a result a few parts have scratches but they are still functional.

The ordering, payment and shipping process was easy to navigate. The only gripe I have is the engine was supposed to be an exact match to my original engine, it was not, we had to machine the end of the crankshaft a little to make it work. Other than that everything worked fine.

A good engine but my order was doubled and the return shipping for the extra engine that was send andpaid for by me was more than 60% of the price of the engine.

The Small Engine Warehouse staff are very helpfull and knowledge able. However the engine I purchased for my wood splitter (Briggs and Staton appears to be a piecee of junk. It's got the no choke built in and it starts very hard. it seems the colder the outdoor temp the more I have to pull the cord to start it. There are many times I pull more than 20x to get it started and after this and it doesn't start I give up. The technition it seems is very busy and has not had a chance to get ahold of me to see if there is anything I can do to remedy the situation.Returning the engine may be my only option.

Not empressed. When we are replacing an American engine with American bolts you don’t want to be stoped by American bolts not fitting. This has been a huge pain in the rear. Also all metric bolts and nuts have been taken off the shelves. Beware no metric in Texas. Wasn’t planing on that one .

The PROS and CONS of my new engine: PROS: Small Engine Warehouse (SEW) delivered the new Briggs and Stratton 44T977-0035 engine so fast that it was shipped here in 3 days! The sale was pretty smooth. The prices were very affordable. The new engine also has plenty of power to cut my lawn. CONS: Better support on components could be mentioned on the SEW website as to what each engine could need to replace another engine. A better representation of wiring diagrams would also be helpful as this took an enormous amount of time and research to find out what wiring went where. I had to create my own wiring diagram to understand fully as a DIY guy to how to get the engine running properly. Greater emphasis on getting the correct shaft length would also be very helpful for DIY. My previous Kohler Command had a built-in solenoid, but I had to guess on my own that the B&S engine needed a separate 3-post solenoid. Nothing in their documentation mentions this or on the SEW website. Lastly, the Kohler Command manual of 20 years ago is complete and extremely helpful. The manual for the B&S is useless regarding any practical or useful info. After finally getting the engine at starting point, the engine, however, has been hard to start (it only has 6 hours on the motor). It does not crank quickly for some reason. I purchased a new battery). I have had to start by spraying starting-fluid in the carb to get it started. Today that worked but then the engine cut out a few hundred feet from my home and would not restart even with more starting fluid. My gas is fairly fresh and the choke fully works. Is the new fuel pump defective? The oil is level. What gives??
