Home Emergency Cover has been a good purchase for me as it covers Plumbing & Drainage, Boiler Breakdown, Pests, Door Locks, Central Heating and electrical cover, phew all these under one home emergency policy, its a gud bargain. would recommend to all

Smart Cover customer support advisor arranged for an engineer to repair my broken dishwasher. The engineer came later that evening and fixed the problem very professionally .

Burst pipes is a nightmare, unfortunately i had to go through it but fortunately i had Smart cover insurance which is Home Emergency. I called the customer support team and they were able to quickly send an engineer before it went worst. All sorted and taken care. excellent service, Thanks for the timely help.

Great customer service ! I had a boiler emergency they helped me fix it by sending the engineer instantly, The customer advisor agent was full of knowledge and helped me throughout the ordeal. Thanks Smart cover !!!

Took out a policy with this company for boiler insurance. Engineer turned up to complete service 2 hours late stinking of smoke and himself comfortable in my house. When I was asked for a review about this service the person who called me was also very rude. Also if you don’t call to arrange a service no one will contact you. No option online to turn out off auto renew either.

I had an issue with my washing machine which was making rumbling noise, called my insurance providers smart cover they sent the engineer who was a gentleman and he fixed the washing machine in no time, such a relief.

My boiler broke down on 10th Feb 2024 and I made a claim. They never came back to me. Whenever I called them on their number they always disconnected the phone. Their helpline never works. It's been 2 weeks my boiler broke down and they never called me back. Worst ever company. AVOID.

Would give zero stars if possible. My fridge freezer has broken and I cannot get through by phone and emails ignored. I have been with this company for years and only ever had a washing machine replaced which took 6 weeks in total....this company used to be good and run properly with an answering customer services. Now it seem like one or two people ...Ive cancelled my DD now. AVOID GO ELSWHERE !!!!!

Would have given zero stars if I could have. I had the misfortune of taking out boiler breakdown cover. What a sham of a company. My boiler stopped working and I called them out. First thing they make you do is go through some sort of approval process to see if your claim is valid (alarm bells were ringing). I mean if your boiler is broken it's a valid claim - anyway day later they agreed to send someone round. He eventually turned up a week or so later and told me it was a fault with either a sensor or my PCB. He managed to start the boiler and told me to give them a call if it happened again. Next thing that happens is I get an email from (not so) Smartcover telling me the fault is intermittent and I am not covered. What kind of joke is that - I paid over £200 for cover that doesn't provide cover. They told me it is for emergency breakdown so they only do temporary fixes. I am now in an argument to get my money back as I want to change to a reliable/reputable company - should have never left British Gas. Be warned!! you do not get the cover you think you are getting - which is even worse than no cover because when you try and claim you are left high and dry facing an unexpected bill. Please read the 1/2 star reviews - these are people who have tried to make a claim. The 5 star reviews are from people like me who initially got a "so called" 15 minute service on their boiler and were pestered by the company to leave a review after that!!!! I have now alerted the insurance ombudsman because I want to claim a full refund from these scammers.

Worst company ever. Had a central heating cover with them. All of our radiators stopped working in the (very) cold weather. They said it's not an emergency!!!! I have a vulnerable person at home which is not ideal without heating. Stay away from these nasty people at all costs, they happy to take your cash and happy to let you badly down. Nasty nasty company. Any good reviews are fake.

Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. Bunch of con men who twice rejected claims I made as not an emergency, yet I’m 71 years old. Also requested call back on 5 occasions & nothing. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Appalling company. Been with them for 2 years and recently had to make a claim due to a faulty boiler. Firstly they failed to respond to the engineer's request to order replacement parts. More importantly they then refused the claim on the basis the policy didn't cover worn or faulty parts! Shameful. Won't be using them again.
