Have tried to register details and it will not accept and I have to pay £19.99 per puppy the breeder had chips done didn't bother trying anymore and have registered with pet database and paid just over £6 for each smart tag simple

Bought a puppy from a breeder paid to change owner details and after 8 weeks still no confirmation of change. I've phoned and emailed but still no answer from them, wouldn't recommend this company at all, absolutely appalling customer service.

I registered my puppys chip that the breeder had put in but when tried to read at vets there wasnt one there, I had already registered it with Smartchip + paid the fee. The breeder had to put a new chip in + I am unable to get this changed so far as there are no contact details for Smartchip anywhere on their website, the breeder said she would contact them but 3 weeks later my dog is still registered under the old chip number, it is unbelievable that I am unable to contact anyone to sort this problem, I also never received my 'free' puppy pack, but they were certainly quick enough to take my money

New pup from breeder, set up new account, can't transfer details, can't add new information, won't accept payment, no one answers the phone (once you find the number. Hate to think what happens if a pet goes missing.

How do you actually find a telephone number for the place, The site is a nightmare I can trace a dog with its chip it has all my details but you can’t login as their system won’t recognise your email, then a notice the site telling you they need a payment on a count down is this a yearly subscribe

I have been increasingly frustrated with my contact with this company. After a stream of emails after finding that the breeder had mixed up chip details, I am still waiting for the correct information to be attributed to my puppy.

I have tried to phone them twice now with a problem with my puppies chip number!! Honestly feel like I was talking double Dutch as the girl on the other end was totally clueless!!!! Second time I was fobbed off to email! And that’s a joke. Total rip off and a disgrace to being a business.......

They offer you a 10% discount but only if you leave a 5 Star review. I did! I didn't get my discount! Don't be fooled.

If you leave a TrustPilot review you get 10% off, but ONLY if its a 5 star review. Disgraceful. Paid the extra 10% and left an honest review instead.

I ordered a dog tag, it took 15 days to arrive and during that time I was repeatedly fobbed off. When the tag did arrive it isn't etched in deep enough so it is not easy to read. So if my puppy does get out no one will be able to return him as the tag is poor quality. I again contacted the company and was bemused to be copied into a rather derogatory email I was never have supposed to of seen. The writer of the email literally told me he didn't know I could see the email. I contacted the company again to ask for a returns address was never provided with one totally ignored. Very poor service.

Cheap to get done, expensive to maintain. Very expensive to change address so think about future costs.

We found a stray dog and took it to the vets to be scanned for a chip. It did find it but, being early on a Saturday morning, the systems the vets use could not identify it as a valid chip. Eventually they managed to track it to Smartchip, only to find that the details of the owner could not be found until 9.00am on Monday. This means that there is no way of tracing a dog back to its owners outside of the hours 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday! Unfortunately we had no choice but to hand the dog to the dog warden who will only keep it for 3 days and even then would charge £60 release fee. I am sure this is not what responsible dog owners want.
