“Just returned from an overnight spa break at the Ana Spa in Winchester. They emailed 7 mins before arrival to let us know that they would not be able to offer what we booked as they were short staffed. This was annoying as we had booked an experience to share and ended up spending the time on our own whilst the other one had their treatment. What was shocking was the way this was handled. It's nor great to let the client know 7 mins before arriving. No drinks or anything was offered to make it slightly better at the time and not a single person spoke to us the whole time. Complained to spa ' manager'who has zero customer service skills. Tried to call spa seekers on the day. Phone just rang out 3 times. Emailed and no acknowledgement. Called the following day and was asked to email the complaints department. If you need a department dedicated to complaints there is an issue!! Dealt with Emily who was dreadful. Still no resolution to our problem and no assistance. Be very wary of booking with this company.”

“I used Spa Seekers because my boyfriend and I really wanted a relaxing “Spa weekend”… instead we got a noisy leisure centre. Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon should absolutely not be sold as a spa break… *Firstly, there wasn’t anywhere for us to lay down and relax by the pool as there was only 7 beds total which were taken *The steam room was not working *The pool was crowded *The sauna was tiny and only fitted 3 people *Plus I have never been to a spa that doesn’t have a jacuzzi * It was more like a council run tiny leisure centre. Although the staff were very friendly, we left so disappointed because our main objective was to enjoy the Spa and destress… instead the whole experience stressed me out even more. Spa Seekers clearly are not visiting their sites What’s more when I complained to Spa Seekers, they stated “the website did not advertise jacuzzi” as if it was my fault for expecting to have a jacuzzi at a Spa 🤷‍♀️ should have read the small print 🤦‍♀️ Then then insulted us with a 7% discount off future bookings… wow just wow 🤯 On a positive… I would however like to say that the treatment salon was lovely although no relaxation at all ok the leisure centre “Spa” The food in restaurant was very nice. Room ok, better in pictures and looked upon a car park but I guess someone has to. Overall huge disappointment for a spa weekend”

“DO NOT BUY THESE VOUCHERS FOR ANY OF YOUR FAMILY OR FRIENDS AS THEY WON'T LET YOU USE THEM AND YOU LOSE THE MONEY YOU PAID FOR THE VOUCHERS.”

“AVOID using this company. Use their website to find a good deal, then book directly with the hotel. They charged me an additional £25 to change the date by 1 day ( with a months notice) even though the hotel had already agreed to change the date for me. They are an unnecessary middle man as it was cheaper to book with the hotel. Their customer service is appalling, i would never use this company again!”

“Spa seekers are only interested in taking customers money and pocketing it without passing on to the venue. Because of Covid, vouchers had to be re-issued but were done so with conditions changed so that a full days experience was reduced to 2 hours. Virtually impossible to get anyone to speak to/answer emails. They refused point blank to rectify the issue so we are now £850 out of pocket.”

“Awful experience! They sent me a booking with the wrong date which was clearly an issue with their system. It was only 2 days away! I tried to contact them when the confirmation came through and calls from the spa but got no response. When monday came and I tried to tell them and move the date, they said nothing they can do as the date had passed. OBVIOUSLY ITS PASSED, YOU WERE CLOSED!! I offered to move dates rather than chargeback but nothing. This was your mistake. Why would you not want to retain your revenue rather than I chargeback via disputing with my credit card? I had been happy to accept YOUR mistake and move to any date possible.”

“Avoid at all costs! This seems like a very sophisticated scam that involves a number of fake 'spa' companies. Avoid at ALL COSTS. Book direct with a hotel or a spa that actually exists. All the 'positive' reviews sound similar as do the complaints - it makes sense to believe the complaints. These people are THIEVES! Places like the Skin Lounge Spa and Thames & City Spa UK, do not exist. They pretend they cannot honour your booking on the day then fob you off with a story of compensation by offering another spa that is not going to happen. I don't know how or why they have been able to get away with this for so long.”

“Spent a long time searching for a spa for our anniversary weekend- we have a nearly 2 year old with no family close but managed to get babysitting for the weekend- our first night away from our daughter so really looking forward to it. Only to be told 12 days before our booking that the place we’ve booked actually isn’t available after all. We had booked and Airbnb specifically close to the spa but all other spa seekers venues near the airbnb were either fully booked on that date or more expensive. However spaseekers (Billie) refused to offer compensation for the fault of the website in showing us availability and allowing us to book and pay in the first place. Instead they said if we still wanted that weekend we’d have to pay extra for the more expensive spa. A new date is not an option for us due to childcare and the fact we’d already booked the Airbnb. We will be going down the complaints procedure but that doesn’t help the fact we now need to pay extra for a spa for our anniversary next weekend. Terrible way to treat your customers. We’re out of pocket now for spaseeker’s mistake and no compensation in sight.”

“Absolute con of a company. Buy a voucher then have to spend more for a package for a morning or day for absolute minimal treatment/spa experience. Just a middle man. Save your time and money and go direct to the spa you want to go to.”

“If possible, I would give no stars at all! Way too expensive for such a poor quality of service with almost nothing to offer. Wrong information given about the booked experience and facilities. Emails sent to the person who booked instead of the proper guest. Then, inside, a really disappointing spa reception and service. Time wasting. Save your money.”

“This company should not be allowed to continue to rip people off! I was gifted a voucher and was unable to use it as the spa wouldn’t accept vouchers from spaseekers anymore? Says it all. It can take an hour to get through on the phone and they will not help you or offer any customer service. Avoid this company”

“Wouldn’t extend my voucher by a couple of weeks so I could use it !? My mother bought it as a birthday present so will obviously be so sad I couldn’t use it. I was so shocked as first time using spaseekers!! Though terrible for them too as they have lost a massive customer - my mother buys loads of vouchers every year for Christmas and birthday presents but she obviously won’t be anymore! AVOID AVOID AVOID”

“Should be zero stars. I bought vouchers for spa day at a local hotel/spa. The website says spa is permanently closed, no one is answering phone. Contacted spa seekers who said they are open but 3 of the 4 spa facilities are not available. I asked for refund as what was sold to us can not be offered. Told no refunds, can have extension or credit, not acceptable. I said if we change our minds I accept that no refund will be given but their provider is unable to provide what has been paid for. I said I would raise dispute with paypal, was told I could do that but wouldnt get refund as they would not authorise payment.Terrible customer services, I will not use again, do not recommend to anyone. PS said 6 month extension still not been processed”

“Booked a spa in bed Christmas for me and the wife.. took my money then emailed to say they didn’t have a double room.. I emailed back to say I want to cancel and I’ve had no reply in over 2 weeks and no one answering phone.. £260 down the drain.. pathetic outfit”

“Total false book part online and part via telephone did not ask for any medical information. Do not book no one wants to refund our money £268 or take liability for it going on since September. Do not book with Spa Seekers bad experience from start to finish”
