“It's very difficult giving this review, as I have mixed feelings about the purchase of a Velbon tripod from Speed Graphic. The price was really good, and the delivery was excellent, but the website description of the tripod was flawed. I did contact Speed Graphic to ask about the problem and was given the opportunity to return the tripod, however, I needed it for the job. To solve the problem caused by the flawed description ended up costing me the money I had saved by buying the item from Speed Graphic, or if I had returned the item, I would have ended up spending more money for posting it back. I was disappointed overall with the transaction, and will probably buy 'in shop' next time as at least I'll know what I'm buying. Regards.”

We're sorry the size of the Velbon tripod head attachment screw was incorrectly stated. This came about as a result of a model change. The 655 replaced another tripod in the Velbon range which had a 3/8" screw, but for some reason Velbon changed this to 1/4" on the 655, which we didn't spot. Our apologies for the inconvenience this caused you. Kind regards David

“Have ordered quite a few things from Speed Graphic over the years and never been let down whether the goods were small & inexpensive or larger and more costly, the level of attentive service has always remained reliable - with the plus of talking to people who know the photographic world well - or at least can find someone on-staff who does.”

“Delivered quickly and efficiently. But why was the above unacceptable? Why do I have to write five words when four were all that were required? And have to restart the process after the error -- it threw away my comments because the Submit button was 'forbidden'. Suggest you find another reviewing company!!”

There's a minimum of 5 words required - this is apparently so that Google will recognise the review. I've suggested that this could be made clearer, so that others don't experience what you did. Regards, David

“I purchased Spider Black Widow waist clip and pins on a special deal. These arrived in just a couple of days, having been dispatched on the day of my order. The following week, I attempted to purchase another, but couldn't find the link or the product on the web-site. After contacting SG to enquire, they promptly supplied a second waist clip for my colleague, which also arrived 2-days after the order was placed. Pretty good service! It was a shame they were not able to match the special deal for the repeat purchase though.”
