I tried to change the day of delivery due to a funeral but that was not an option. No delivery card was left. When i logged in, I found that the parcel had been delivered so assumed it was missing. I arranged a call to discuss but had to wait about 3 days. I then purchased a cheaper trolley for my event on bank holiday Monday. I had no missed call but an email to say what did I think of the phone call. A week after my delivery, my neighbour brought it around. 2 bolts were missing so I could not use it this weekend either.

Ordered a Lens accessory called LensSkirt which I have been awaiting for a long while. Okay, Speed Graphic may have delivered the ordered item in an acceptable time, but their failure to reply to a much earlier online queries when they were out of stock, was poor. Not exactly sales promoting!

Unfortunately, there was a long delay this year before we were able to get more stock from the American manufacturer, during which time we had no updates from them. So we're sorry that our initial response to your query was not sufficient; however, once back in stock, as you say, delivery was prompt.

Sales process & delivery was excellent. Only problem was after sale I requested that I receive a VAT invoice as purchase was on behalf of a charity and have never received any reply

I don't know how you did since I still haven't received the tripod legs. My mistake for ordering from a UK supplier again. The tripod legs are probably in Austrian customs somewhere. I am pretty sure that you charged me UK VAT on the purchase - and Austrian customs will calculate EU VAT plus customs from the UK price including VAT. So I will pay through the nose. I only ordered from Speedgraphic because I could not find this article in stock anywhere in the EU. Enjoy your post-Brexit "splendid isolation" behind the "English Channel".

There was a system glitch which meant that selecting Austria at checkout did not remove VAT: this has now been corrected. We're sorry that we didn't spot this when processing the order. As explained in our emails, it transpired that there is a specific customs requirement when sending goods to Austria and Italy (not applicable to any other EU countries) which we were not told about by DPD. This resulted in the parcel being returned. We have now refunded you in full, and apologise for the failure. Yes - another Brexit dividend.

On 07/04/2021 I placed an order for three items. One item was delivered on 27/04/2021, the second item was delivered on 18/05/2021, i am still awaiting the third item despite being told at the end of May that the item would be in stock on 14/06/2021. The item in question is :- Manfrotto cross pole 272 your ref MA272

Dear Mr Bailey We're very sorry about the the long delay with this item. There are many supply problems caused by COVID which we are having to deal with at present. Manfrotto, although mostly made in Italy, has been particularly bad, and getting accurate delivery dates from their UK office virtually impossible. So after putting this enquiry again through our account manager, we are now told it will be the middle of July. You can be sure that you will receive it as soon as possible after we do. Two weeks after despatch, I still had not received my order, so I contacted Speed Graphic. They asked me to wait two more days and if I still had not received my order, they would re-send. Two days later I informed them that I still had not received my order. It is now another week later, and I have had no further communication from Speed Graphic regarding my order. All in all, three weeks after despatch I have not received my order, and Speed Graphic are not responding to my queries.

Our apologies for the delay caused by Royal Mail losing this parcel. We responded to your email on the 23rd June and sent the replacement mat that day - recorded as having been received by you the following day.

The product arrived in very good condition. However, I was hugely disappointed with the Standard Delivery service because they didn't keep me informed of the package tracking (even if the estimated time of arrive of 3-4 working days was passed, we had to call them for information on our package.)

On May 4th I received confirmation of my order #123308, and moments later I received the other order confirmation for #123319. I had placed the first order and realized I needed an adapter ring, placed the order and left a message that both orders could be combined. Gilly, a rep from your company emailed me a few weeks ago and explained that the adapter ring had arrived and that he needed additional money for shipping. I explained that I had left the message to combine orders and they stated that it was automated and they weren't aware of my message. Upon ordering I was told the step up ring was on back order, and when it arrived I was notified that the Retro-adapter still hadn't arrived, which I was unaware that it to was on back order. I emailed Gilly and asked for a time estimate and how I would go about paying for shipping, this was 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since!! I'm not very happy and feel as if I'm being ignored. Waiting........... Regards Steve Franzmeier

The order arrived wrong. I emailed to explain the problem and was told the item was out of stock, but that it would be back in again soon... still waiting to hear when the correct item will be sent...

Whilst the B&W filter that I ordered did arrive and was as per the order, it took some 6 weeks rather than the advertised 3-5 days and the only response to explain the delay was after 3 weeks or so after I initiated a request of Speed Graphic. The delay was acceptable, but the lack of communication was not. An initial email would have been sufficient to say it had been ordered from B&W and then another a couple of weeks later to say that Speed Graphic were still awaiting the filter. If the communication had been there from the beginning, despite the delay I would have rated Speed Graphic as Good as a minimum

Our apologies for the length of time it took to supply this item, which was longer than would be usual. As previously advised, it comes from a German supplier. We need to order a minimum value from them, and our stock was a little out kilter at the time you placed your order. Unfortunately our website does not have the mechanism to precisely identify the lead time on every product - we have now added further information to the stock flags for all products not normally held in stock.

The tripod has come with a.screw which need to be reversed to fit the head I also bought. Unfortunately I am unable to do this and no instruction has been given as to how I can. This was not explained when I purchased the items and explanation should have been given.

It's a shame that you didn't contact us first before posting a review because, as demonstrated today, we have resolved the problem. Unfortunately, the reversible screw in your tripod, and another example we had in stock, were installed excessively tightly at the factory. We have replaced it with another one. We will also contact the importer of FLM to advise them about this, and suggest that an allen key is included.

We despatched your order on 27th January. Your parcel arrived in Italy on 30th. Unfortunately the unreliability of the Italian postal service frequently adds several more days to the delivery time, but invariably parcels do get delivered, so we hope you receive it shortly. Note that we can offer reliable and faster services to Italy.

Buying a flash. The one I ordered was not in stock. Nobody contacted me to let me know and did not seem to care much when I phoned. Ended up buying a different one that was three times as much.

We're sorry you feel unhappy with your purchase. We did try to get accurate information from the UK importer of Metz flash for the 24AF-1, but at present there are substantial production delays on certain models and this proved impossible to do. The choice to buy the next model up in the range was made by yourself after discussion with our staff member.

I chose to pick up the parcel on the following day from a local pharmacy after Midday, a service offered by the courier. After arranging my day to make this possible, I received a text from the courier saying they were no longer going to deliver as promised and it would be delayed till the following day, which caused me many problems. Delivery problems are increasingly becoming a huge problem and I will only choose an online retailer after checking what delivery service they use. I will be avoiding DPD, and by association Speed Graphic from now on.

Your email was sent over a weekend, and we have replied to it when received this morning. The transit time to Singapore seems to have been a little longer than usual (7 working days) but this is probably because of the time of year. As advised, your parcel is now with Singapore customs.

It's very difficult giving this review, as I have mixed feelings about the purchase of a Velbon tripod from Speed Graphic. The price was really good, and the delivery was excellent, but the website description of the tripod was flawed. I did contact Speed Graphic to ask about the problem and was given the opportunity to return the tripod, however, I needed it for the job. To solve the problem caused by the flawed description ended up costing me the money I had saved by buying the item from Speed Graphic, or if I had returned the item, I would have ended up spending more money for posting it back. I was disappointed overall with the transaction, and will probably buy 'in shop' next time as at least I'll know what I'm buying. Regards.

We're sorry the size of the Velbon tripod head attachment screw was incorrectly stated. This came about as a result of a model change. The 655 replaced another tripod in the Velbon range which had a 3/8" screw, but for some reason Velbon changed this to 1/4" on the 655, which we didn't spot. I ordered for an event with next day delivery but two days after they hadn't arrived. On contacting Speed Graphic, I was told that Royal Mail had attempted two deliveries and then returned the parcel to Speed Graphic. This was puzzling as we are a public building open from 8am to 10pm daily. I have asked for our account to be credited but am unaware if this has happened.

Sorry that you felt that we let you down. We can't explain why Royal Mail were unable to deliver to you on time, but it seems there was some confusion on their part because a house number was included in the address you supplied us. Unfortunately we weren't aware of this until the parcel was returned to us by Royal Mail, which coincided with your email telling us about it, so were unable to send a replacement item to you quickly. As soon as you requested a refund, we did this, and also sent you an email to confirm.
