“I own all three types of the Volcano and have used them for more years than I want to admit to. Just wanted to share what I’ve found over many years of use.
So, I Purchased the latest hybrid after reading great reviews. I’ve Had it over a month , giving time to adjust to the different controls and the app.
The hybrid works , but not sure it’s worth the hype or upgrading from the digital to be honest. Yes it seems easier to load using the micro capsules, at first . But the digital and original fill the bag just as good. Maybe better ? More efficient. Because of the hi heat the dosing capsule continues to absorb from the capsule chamber after removing both from the unit. Way to hot for to long. It stays considerably hotter than the original solid chambers do. Enough to easily burn you. And for a much longer time. So , I have to remove the dosing capsule right after a hit or continue to cook what’s left . I can do it without burning myself , but it’s not easy. Wouldn’t expect buyers to be able to do and enjoy this process.
Also, Because the herb chamber locks on the unit it’s easy to forget and just slide the bag off to enjoy, only to look and see I forgot to unlock and remove the herb chamber housing. Leaving the dose to cook even more . Wasteful ,Couple hits , it’s easy to forget.
Now , the app…. Works great, but don’t like the idea of my vaping profile being downloaded to whom ever Stortz&Bickel decides. I will turn off the Bluetooth and remove the app.”
“Worst customer service. I bought a hybrid unit in 220v country after being told that it would work internationally. I am returning to Canada in 2 months. Now they are saying it won't work in 110v Canada. I thought it was dual voltage like a laptop. I asked for a solution and now they have cut me off and their reply is that they can't help.me. great solution. I just spent the equivalent of USD 800 for 2 months use. Horrible customer service that won't find a solution. Here's one! Offer a 110v refurbished unit and add clear signs on packaging saying it will NOT work in all countries.”

“Placed an order for solid valve parts which they had in stock. I waited over a month to find out they haven't even shipped the items yet. They did give me a refund but was kind of rude about it.”

I called them and when I did manage to get through, they were unable to give me an ETA of when will the product be back in stock. I paid them hundres and hundres of euros and their services are more than lacking.

“I had to return my mighty to them because the housing was cracking off, a known defect reported many times by all accounts. S&B suggest sending to them as an item with a value of less than 100 to avoid customs charges etc. so in other words the cheapest methods possible.
One month later and they do not have my RMA. All they can say is sorry I will have to launch a search. A search for an item they suggested sending to Germany by the cheapest methods possible so has no tracking and was not signed for.
This vape has a major issue with the heating element overheating the housing. The plastic housing simply goes brittle and snaps off. This was within months of purchase. As such it is overpriced garbage which falls to bits within under a year. S&B are pretty unhelpful, uncooperative and don't really give a damn. As such, they can shove their products and I will shop elsewhere for my next vape.
Cheap flimsy product that cannot handle even a lower temp than max without falling to bits because it is made from cheap plastic which brittles under heat. Avoid at all costs.”
