“I purchased the Straight Ahead flat iron from Nikol, and I’m genuinely impressed. It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and leaves my hair smooth and shiny without any frizz. When I use it to curl my hair, the curls last for 2–3 days, which is amazing. The quality is excellent — definitely worth the investment. Highly recommend both the product and the service I received from Nikol!”
“We met Mike from Straight Ahead Beauty and he was absolutely awesome! He explained everything in such a clear and friendly way, and really made us feel comfortable with the product. My sister and I bought the treatment and honestly – it’s like magic! We used it at home and the results were incredible – our hair is so soft, smooth, and healthy-looking. Mike gave us amazing service, and the product totally delivered. Highly recommended!”
“I had a deeply upsetting experience at the Straight Ahead Beauty store in Opry Mills Mall. While speaking with the store manager about a hair straightener, I mentioned that although it seemed like a good product, I already owned a quality straightener and didn’t need another. I also explained that I’m visiting from Australia and couldn’t take anything extra home due to limited luggage space.
Despite this, the manager insisted I return my current straightener (a GHD) and proceeded to offer their product, originally priced at $370 USD, for $89 USD. When I declined again, she laughed at me, clapped in my face, and dismissed me in a humiliating manner. Her behavior was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional, and I left the store in tears.
This experience left a very negative impression of the store and the brand. No customer should ever be treated this way, especially after politely declining a sale.
For this reason, I would never purchase this product.”
“Unfortunately I let this lady in the mall use this straightener on my wig that I told them was fake before proceeding anything. She told me it was fine it was “no heat” my wig would be fine she could make it look better. Yeah she burned my wig off. And the owner won’t replace my wig wants to send me a product that burned my wig. I am bald no hair I used my only wig for self esteem it was an expensive wig. Completely heart broken over my wig.”
“Honestly bought it, brought it home, and the light won't even turn on. Feels cheaper than the one they used. Honestly let down and Im very upset they dont take refunds. This was a gift and it feels like a waste of a lot of money.”
“Horrible straightener from the Deptford mall. They give a demonstration with a much better quality product than the one you actually get home. It is horrible and cheap. Multiple passes through hair and it still does not look how I expect it to. My hair also was not hot to the touch and the one I have gets your hair very hot. This cart should be shut down in the mall lol”
“I bought mine from the deptford mall. It's nothing like the flat iron I bought years ago. I just wanted to try something new but this flat iron is horrible. It does not keep my hair straight and even if a little humidity touches my hair, it's curling up immediately. Unlike my other flat iron which keeps my hair straight after being wet. Would not recommend. I wasted $170. Wish I would have shopped around more.”
“I have no experience with expensive beauty products, but I was pretty satisfied with what I received. I was in the mall park at Arlington with my family, and we stumbled upon this lady explaining to us how the bionic pro iron flat was more efficient and easy. And it was really nice for someone who constantly burned itself with the iron flat. At first we weren’t interested because we weren’t in urgent need of an iron flat, especially from an expensive brand. So she offers us a deal of a bionic pro iron flat for around $200 with another free bionic pro iron flat and a free caffeine burst hair mask. So we thought it didn’t hurt to accept it and try for that price, the price of 3 items for $200 compared to the website that goes up to $600 for only one item. The lady even said you can get a similar one for a cheaper price, which is true. But I guess it is one of those that each business offers different or unique things that different people can find helpful or appealing. I noticed they have custom iron flats with different styles, like the one I have that is a marble white; it is very pretty. ”
“I'm pretty sure this is a SCAM. When I used the brush straightener on my hair it didn't do anything or was as good at the lady did it. It doesn't seem to get hot enough. Also I'm pretty sure it's a SCAM. They reel you in with a "free" sample and then immediately guide you to their chair and start a demonstration however they don't even use the thing they'd sell you. They'll try to throw in a "deal" or something but the brush straightener is something you can buy on Amazon for 40 bucks it's crazy. I wasted 120 bucks all because of my negligence so don't do what I did. They threw in a shampoo and conditioner and said if I bought that they'd give me a $450 hair brush straightener instead FOR FREE?? I don't know about you but how are they making a profit on that? They'd be losing money. So yeah it's a SCAM.”
“Beware buyers. If you don't register your flat iron and save the receipt Straight Ahead will not honor your lifetime warranty. I learned the hard way after my Hybrid Pro Titanium Flat iron stopped working. I wrote to them by email and filled out the warranty exchange and they would not honor their lifetime warranty. I even asked if they could give me a discount. I sent them a picture of my flat iron and offered to ship it back to them so they could see that it didn't work. The replacement is close to $600 and I can't afford that right now. Super disappointed.”
“I recently attended a seminar at my beauty school, and it was truly enriching. The team taught us about advanced hair care and techniques for using tools like the flat iron and blow dryer, going far beyond the basics we learn in class. Purchase their tools and I have to say I am amazed. this knowledge will be invaluable once i graduate, equipping us as professionals with advanced skills not just for styling, but for building a successful career. I’m grateful for the insight and feel more prepared to become a well-rounded professional!”
“I visited Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville NC today and I was very aggressively approached by a vendor associate named Kat? Black hair, black framed glasses. She basically dragged me to her station. I decided to just be polite and hear her out but when she told me that the product was $390 I politely declined about four times before saying absolutely not. She was in my face and kept shoving the product at me. By the last time I declined she physically pushed me out of the chair. I hoped that I just had a bad experience because of her but it seems like this company is encouraging this kind of behavior. She's lucky I didn't press the issue of her putting her hands on me. That's unacceptable behavior and reflects very poorly on your company.”
“Straight Ahead visited our cosmetology school and provided an outstanding seminar on using their products. The presentation was informative, and the instructors were knowledgeable and approachable. I feel more confident using their tools with my future clients. I highly recommend it!”
“So I didn’t bought my products from the mall I actually got them from a Beauty School that the company came to demonstrate. When I’ve been reading all these reviews, I was shocked, and even though all these people bad experience, those are end users customers that need to be educated how to use straighteners correctly. I have to say that Straight Ahead have a line for consumers and a line to professionals just like L’Oréal professionals and regular L’Oréal, after receiving my tools from the Beauty School I’m going to when I got home and open them. I was amazed. The products are just as promised and even past my expectation I’m using These tools, all my clients in the school and I love it so much”
