Ordered in April perennials 72 for £14.99..+ £4.99 postage..arrived late july.. only 9 varieties ..not 12 as advertised..substitutes given..so I received 18 aquilegia .. The quality was shocking..dead…yellowed.. and if still living..tiny! I received replacement 72 plants.. these were in a worse condition than the first lot.. plus fewer varieties..more dead than alive.. I’ve sent pics countless ..msgs.. suttons.. ..no reply! Shocking way to treat customers. These were not of merchantable quality, not fit for purpose..not as described.. if I ordered a chicken from sainsburys then no way would they substitute my online order and send me fish… ! That’s me done with this company.. I hope others take heed of these genuine reviews..

Missing plants not refunded. Dead plants sent in a previous order. Did have £6 refund for them. 4 planted hanging baskets ordered and money taken on 9th July. 5 separate phone calls and an unanswered email to report non delivery of baskets. Cancelled order 16th July. Customer service said they were in dispatch, refuse delivery on arrival. Then I can be refunded as soon as carrier delivers them back. August 3rd now…no order came. I have escalated PayPal to retrieve my large payment refund. I have been repeatedly lied to by service staff because they always say they have refunded. So stressful, time wasting, and service does not exist. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS FIRM. BAD EXPERIENCE.

This company is a shambles,my father ordered plants back in april and they took the money from hes account in may.He never got the plants and after 6 phone calls has never got hes money back !!

Well my partner received the 'plug' plants 2 months late! They arrived and many were dead. It is far to late to put these VERY tiny little plants in, they are summer plants and at the moment no bigger than a finger nail. He received a refund after many many emails & phone calls. This company should be fined under trading standards. Recommended by Martin Lewis too, which is sad. Never ever would I use them again. Suttons were always a good company. What has happened?

You have had my money for months and a box of half dead plug plants arrived today. A half hearted apology for the ‘disappointment’ isn’t good enough!

Bought bedding plants as plugs they were so tiny you could hardly see them. Planted them on in post and then into tubs it is now nearly the end of July and they are awful. Also orders do not arrive on time. Ordered a tree for my daughter for delivery in November, it arrived in February. I am now awaiting geraniums which were supposed to be delivered at the end of June it is now nearly end of July and they still haven't arrived. The season will nearly be over so totally unsatisfactory. Tried to cancel order but they say they are in despatch, that was 2weeks ago, and they can't be cancelled but when they arrive to refuse delivery and when they receive them back they will refund. Road miles spring to mind...What a load of nonsence. I won't be ordering from them again

Ordered perrenial plant offer suggested by Martin Lewis in April 2021 duly paid £20.98 which included £4.99 delivery. After waiting and being given later delivery dates by Suttons. Finally got fed up with trusting when the last date given a date of early July. They finally arrived today 22nd July 21, posted through my letterbox by the post office. On opening then I was shocked by the size and how many was dead, the soil was dried up. I would advise anyone looking at using this company to stay away from them. The quality is poor the customer service is poor and non existing. I can't believe that Martin Lewis recommended these plants via this company.

Ordered perrenial plant offer suggested by Martin Lewis 28th April 2021 duly paid £20.98 which included £4.99 delivery and £1 plant treatment After waiting and being given later delivery dates Finally got fed up with trusting when the last date given was mid August so decided to ask for a 'full' refund including postage and treatment which I was promised I would recieve. I paid via Pay Pal but having just checked I was dismayed to see I have only been refunded £14.99 including postage ..looking at other reviews I dont think I have much chance of getting the difference I am trying through Pay Pal but it says my refund is complete? This is daylight robbery it could add up to a lot of money that Suttons are withholding from customers for services not given.

I would give ZERO rating if I could. I ordered plants, which came as small plug plants. 9 died in the propagator, before I could plant them and the rest mainly died once I allowed them to get a bit bigger and put into pots. Think 3-4 only remained alive. My partner order an offer recommended on Martin Lewis website, end of May. He still hasn't received order and sent email 4 weeks ago asking them to cancel as no point in have summer plug plants now. He did receive acknowledgement stating order cancelled, but no refund. He contacted them yesterday and they had no record of the cancellation (thankfully he receievd an email saying it was done). He's now waiting for a refund, again! Terrible company & customer service. I would never use them again. Shame, they always seemed a reputable company.

Order RefIMP1224784 They have not delivered my order from 8th June with no information about why it is delayed and have failed to answer my emails. Needless to say they have my money. It will soon be Autumn!!

Order Number: SUT20537639 Thursday 17 June 2021, 12:33 PM I am still waiting for the plants I ordered on the 17th of June. I have emailed them and not surprising NO response . I have called them following a long wait and just got even more excuses, meanwhile they have got my money without delivering the plants. Quite simply a shameful way of running a business, even one star is too much for this company.

Surely this is fraud. I ordered a pomegranate plant on 24th May. Despite repeated emails it has still not been delivered. Sutton’s say I can’t have a refund because my order is ‘in the system.’ They have told me to decline the plant *when it is delivered* Rubbish, rubbish, rubbish! Their website says the plant is ‘no longer available’ so they know they won’t be delivering it but still haven’t refunded my money. I think l have been more than patient in waiting since the end of May. I just want my £40.98 and want nothing more to do with these crooks. Trading Standards really needs to investigate the activities of this company judging by the number of people who have also been conned like me. I wish I had read the reviews instead of trusting a familiar named company that I thought was reputable. If you are considering placing an order with them I would urge you to think again because you could end up being ripped off like me and all the other people who have left reviews. It’s nothing short of daylight robbery.

Buyers beware, Suttons used to be a reputable company but that's changed since they were taken over by crooks. I placed an order and they took payment immediately but when i heard nothing for a week and saw all the dreadful reviews, i cancelled it and asked for a refund. Suttons eventually replied saying they had issued a refund. Unfortunately, this was a lie. Fortunately, i paid via Paypal and they have given me my money back. You really cannot trust Suttons. If you are considering taking the risk of ordering anything from them, make sure you use a form of protected payment, otherwise you are unlikely to get either your order, or your refund. They have ruined a once great company.

Appalling customer service! I ordered the special perennial bundle on 28.4.21, never arrived, I was repeatedly lied to by customer services telling me it had been dispatched. Then they said it would be the middle of July so I asked for a refund, they only partially refunded me?? Cannot get in touch with them, sent various emails which they have ignored. This is stealing!!!!!! I want a full refund for the order that never came. I would not recommend this company at all, infact I would say this is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I ordered 20 fuschia plants. They were half dead when they arrived so I took a photograph of the contents and sent it to Suttons. I complained and was told that another 20 would be sent to me. They duly arrived and I couldn’t believe the state they were in. Some looked as it they had been dead for weeks and others were rotting. I sent another photo to Suttons, which has so far been ignored. Out of the 40 plants they dispatched I have less than 15 growing.

Complained about bad germination of lettuce seeds, no response. They obviously don’t care about their customers or products. I will avoid and use another supplier.

Plants were very late and then damaged or dead they will not answer e-mails or the telephone so how do you get promised refund.They were taken over late last year and now seem to operate as a scam .Avoid even if you had good service before that has completely gone now .Save your money
