Unicom have a very busy sales department and a very busy complaints department. I can't say how much I've enjoyed receiving countless calls about how they could supply other utilities in addition to the broadband and phone lines they were actually supplying. Personally, I'd have preferred a bit more focus on service and a bit less time being asked to sign away more money to other services. I'd have also preferred less time on the phone to their complaints team. Essentially, by the time my business left them, we had to pay over £700 in termination fees and in some ways it was worth it to get the ill-informed, money-grabbers out of our lives. Happy memories will include: paying for an extra phone line for five years that was installed following their "guidance" on moving property; being rung repeatedly about supplying gas and electric, despite me telling them our landlords controlled those contracts; super-slow broadband; hours complaining and trying to reach a person with a clue; two months after agreeing a settlement still being charged and the credit notes and invoices not balancing. If you're looking for a supplier, do yourself a favour and sign up to anyone else. Literally, anything else: a five-year old with two paper-cups and a piece of string, homing pigeons... otherwise, you will regret it.

This is the most disgusting provider I ever met ,first they have got very pure service and secund they are buillier, they come to my company 7 years ago promising great service but soon I agree for triel of 3 months that moment building began ,every day they phoned me trying to sell me something else, with complain about they service there refused to tell me names who I was talking too ,but at the end I decide to cancel them and talking to lady called Tiffany she told me if I cancel that price I will pay it will be high it was a threat to me ,by the way they tok over my home phone number and in one moment I realise that without a permission they did it ....so I cancel it all but the worse is to come they send me cancellation fees £3,500 for one phone and £3,500 for another phone so all together £7,000 , for 7 years they are sending me threatening letters ,fake court latter and just recently they put claim to court for £15,000 so I wonder how some companies can do that ?who is protecting them ?now think if this all has been send to older or fragale person what would happened then ?my promise is I will not stop until this company is closed down ,so be aware of those rats otherwise you will face a he'll with them !!!!!!!!!!This us real scam what this country is alouding to be !!!!

Cancelled the business… Cancelled the business telephone/broadband contract with Unicom and went with much cheaper supplier. READ THE SMALLPRINT as there is an extortionate termination fee, and ignore the sales hype as there is MUCH better rates to be had out there. Fortunately the termination fee was covered by the new supplier. Paid the fee over a week ago but they still keep calling, writing, and texting on a daily basis asking for payment even though I tell them it was paid by bank transfer. This company DO NOT LISTEN or communicate with each other. They called again today, told them AGAIN it was paid BUT then they text an hour later demanding payment! They are now driving me mad, and I now wish I never heard of them in the first place. [Edit] 20/06/2019. Still calling me even though I have PROVED by email that we have paid. Their comment below says it all. Do a Google search on 'Unicom complaints' for the REAL truth and not rely on 'fixed' inhouse 5* ratings on Trustpilot. Trustpilot are trying to delete my HONEST review which is NOT defamatory.

If this company could get 0 Stars i would do . Sold Fibre broadband and never delivered . Informed them after 14 months that we were terminating our contract as they had not delivered the service they sold to us . Now trying to change £414.32 for termination of a contract that they couldn't fulfil .

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE NO MATTER HOW CONVINCING THE CHATTER OFF THE RETENTION TEAM. Agreed to renew our business broadband at a fixed price but they took £50 extra and have sent incorrect bills ever since. And for THEIR errors they have lumped £40 charges onto our bill! The departments are not connected and internal communication is appalling. When questioned about random amounts appearing on our bill they just say that's what we owe! We know what we should have paid and signed up for. Zero faith in them so going to pursue formal complaint. Absolutely dreadful business behaviour, inefficient in our opinion. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. We're off to OFCOM.

I left this company for another. They billed me in July for a month which should have only been 1 week. They have just sent me a bill with interest and a £40 admin charge ! They make up invoices as they go along. I spoke to at least 4 different people and they just don't get it. Use BT instead.

Gross incompetence is the norm with this company. One star is a lot more than they deserve ( unable to give the zero stars ) Over the last year i have had several problems with them and it takes forever for them to sort anything out. I have yet to receive a phone call from them, they rely on you to ring them all the time. It is impossible to speak to a senior manager. I would not recommend them for anything. D

In March I ceased trading. I closed on Saturday the 21st and contacted Unicom 2 days later Monday the 23rd to close my accounts etc. We are now in December and I am still getting harassed by them. I must have spoke to someone each week sine March and they are now telling me I owe them money because they credited me back to much. From the minute I joined the company for my utilities I have had nothing but problems. They are unable to do a job right or on time. I'm now having a fighting battle with them as I am not paying back what they have said about over crediting me as I have paid out more in phone calls to them trying to sort out the shambles. I would advise anyone not to go near this company! Their customer service is terrible and you just get papped from pillar to post as not one of them seem to be able to do their job correctly.

UNICOM - VILE SHOCKING COMPANY – AVOID   I agreed a contract with Unicom in 2013 after I had a visit from a rep offering me a good deal.  I stupidity signed up not knowing what a vile company they are.   I closed my business down in XXXX when I had my baby and was told that no termination would apply as I was ceasing to trade.  However, a few days after my baby was born I received a demand for £80 for termination fees and I agreed to pay this but under great duress.  I did not believe I should be charged termination fees as Unicom’s contract stated that no termination fees apply if you cease to trade.   I heard nothing more from Unicom until 2020 when they took court action and got a CCJ against me for historic termination fees which now amounted to £2,500   I did not take any legal advice which I now realise to my cost was a huge mistake   In March 2020  I signed a Tomlin order then a week later was furloughed and never received any wages for 12 weeks.  I could not pay as I had 2 children to feed.  I had told them this when they rang me but they didn’t care. Then in November 2020 I had a bailiff at my door. I have contacted the bailiff and Unicom several times with my Stepchange action plan and my offer to clear the debt and I also explained how its causing me great stress and anxiety. Its impossible for me to pay £2500 in one go.   Unicom and DCBL don’t seem to care as long as they can squeeze every last penny from me for a debt I believe should NEVER have been applied in the first place

Company owes me over 100 pounds in credit due to misbilling which they have confirmed themselves but refuse to credit it me and keep stating next billing cycle it will be completed but never does. Been going on for over 6 months now and I've decided to take it to the ombudsman.

Awfull. 100% avoid this shambles of a company. Months and months of trying to cancel services and months and months on, they are still charging. Take for ever to answer the phone.

Only giving this company 1 as there is no option for zero Terrible experience, the most incompetent company I have every dealt with. Cancelled contract in March 2019 which they authorised nu telephone and disconnected my telephone line and broadband in April 2019. In April, May, June, July and August 2019 I continued to receive invoices. They are now harassing me for the money for these 5 months when they were not even providing me with a service. Continually sending threatening letters and emails and sending text messages. When I reply to them they ignore me and then a couple of weeks later send me more letters, emails and text messages.
