“Let me preface by saying I am a HUGE fan of Costa Del Mar sunglasses. I have owned numerous brands of sunglasses including Ray Ban, Maui Jim, amongst several others. I have thought for a while that the lenses from Costa are superior to them all, and I currently have at least 6 pairs of Costa sunglasses.
I recently dropped one of my favorite pair and one of the lenses shattered. They managed to land perfectly on a corner causing the lens to shatter. Because I had a spare set exactly like them, I decided to look for a "cheaper" alternative to replacing the lenses. I stumbled across Tajima after a few Google searches, and after reading several positive reviews comparing them to Maui Jims, I thought I'd give them a try. I am so GRATEFUL for that decision!!
First of all, the customer service provided by Jacob was absolutely amazing. He was quick to answer any questions I had, and the turnaround time was great. As for the lenses...FANTASTIC!!! I sent in my old frames, they were returned with the new lenses along with my old lenses packed separately. The new lenses are incredibly sharp and I actually prefer them over the identical Costas that I have. All my Costa sunglasses have their top-tier lense (580G), and the lenses from Tajima surpass them. I am blown away and will use them again without hesitation should I scratch/damage another set.

So I found this place called Tajima Direct, talked to Jacob, he spent quite a bit of time helping me pickout the color shade, and placed the order. I was SHOCKED how fantastic my 20+ year old Serengeti sunglasses look with the Tajima direct lenses. Very high quality and the shade is optimal for what I need. “I used Tajima to provide progressive clear lenses for a new frame I'd bought, and the experience was superlative in every way. The customer service was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The ordering process is simple, straightforward, and honest. They use the best lens material, Trivex, and include as a matter of course the coatings that are, frankly, required to make a high-quality and durable lens; all at a single inclusive price that is reasonable and fair. This is in happy contrast to the bloated prices and irritating up-selling of coatings as options that is the common practice in the industry, and that leaves a sour taste in the mouth and a flatter wallet in the pocket.

“I have a number of discontinued Oakley sunglasses and since Oakley refuses to support the products that they discontinued (something that was not the case before being sold to Luxottica) Tajima quality lenses saved 3 pairs of sunglasses from being discarded. I have a couple more to have new lenses put in.
The lenses themselves are also superior to the original lenses and i will no longer buy new i will have Tajima Direct take care of all my sunglass lens needs.”
