“I am genuinely excited about my Tajima lenses. I don’t write many reviews but this experience deserves one.
The clarity and the anti glare coating are absolutely outstanding.
My Matsuda frames came with non polarized lenses and I wanted polarized lenses. I had them replaced locally but was not happy with all those reflections on the inside. The Tajima lenses have absolutely no reflections - the coating is really fantastic. The clarity of the lens is also better compared with polycarbonate lenses of other glasses that I have.
I was also impressed with the quick turnaround.

“This is my second lenses I have bought from Tajima, first was Rx polarized sunglasses and this one is Rx clear progressive lenses. Both were excellent progressive lenses mounted in my frames. Both were the best Rx glasses I ever purchased. The lenses were crystal clear from a far distance to close up, with perfect progression and no sudden change. “I had two pair of Maui Jim sunglasses with Rx lenses and my prescription changed. I decided to give Tajima Direct a try and am so glad I did! I ordered my Rx lenses, chose brown lenses, one with green mirroring. I mailed my frames in, they kept me posted on the progress and received them both last week and love them! “This is the second pair of lenses I’ve gotten from Tajima Direct. The green mirror polarized lens has crisp vision, great optics, and is comfortable on my eyes for all day wear. Great way to repurpose good sunglasses frames. Tajima has fast turnaround and does great work. Highly recommend.”
“My original Persol Havana sunglasses came without polarized lenses and, while I loved the frames, I ended up not wearing them often because they were extremely uncomfortable in the sun (which defeats the purpose of why I bought them in the first place). Then, I found Tajima on the web and noticed they made polarized lenses for many glasses, including Persol.
I went ahead and ordered green polarized replacement lenses. Then entire process was easy and fast. Tajima emailed me a shipping label which I used to send the glasses to them. They informed me when the glasses were received. Within two days, the new lenses were cut, installed, and the glasses were on the way back.
What a positive difference! The green polarized lenses look the same as the original lenses; however, they do a fantastic job in reducing glare and are very comfortable on my eyes. Equally important is that they do a fantastic job in cutting down reflective glare when the sun is behind me.
I will definitely use Tajima again and recommend them whenever I can.”
“I bought cheaper replacement lenses in the past and was skeptical about spending the extra money for these lenses. But I can easily say it was money well spent. Vision is crisp and clear. Not to mention they look fantastic. They look like glass lenses but have the durability of polycarbonate lenses. Definitely my go to lense in the future.”
