I loved your newborn class. Was struggling with sleep with 12 month old so bought this one. It literally was just everything I’ve already read online for free. Learned nothing new. Waste of money.

Tried going through each step from the videos. The tricks to help calm baby down, didn’t work for my baby. When I emailed asking some very specific questions, I was redirected to the classes and suggested to spend more money on the other classes. Wasn’t even a personal email, felt automated. Not worth it. You will figure out what works best for your baby and you. It’ll take time yes, but it’s not worth what they’re charging.

I strongly feel this program works for babies with a more easygoing temperament. Babies who are more high needs do not conform to this sleep training program. I committed and had to stop due to the cries - my poor baby. I felt guilty for weeks about it. I still do. I believe some babies are just "better sleepers" again, due to their temperament. Its normal infants need our support throughout the night and the expectation Taking Cara Babies sets is frankly unrealistic and makes us feel like our baby is broken or we are doing something wrong. As if we needed to overthink something else as parents. These babies are still waking up through the night they just know their care taker isn't coming so they stop crying out, they have stopped trusting. Per AAP, “Parents might think that their infant is waking up too much during the night and fear that something is wrong,” Dr. Moon said. “But babies by their nature wake up frequently during the night. Although this can be understandably frustrating for parents who are exhausted and losing out on their own sleep, babies have to wake to feed every 2-3 hours, so this is normal and healthy, and should be expected. When parents have questions about their infant’s sleep, they should always ask their pediatrician for guidance.” https://www.aap.org/en/news-room/news-releases/aap/2022/american-academy-of-pediatrics-updates-safe-sleep-recommendations-back-is-best/ I'm sure you're already aware of that information on AAP but have taken advantage of sleep-deprived parents such as myself and for the ones that work with this program, they had babies who were going to sleep "through the night" on their own anyway. It wasn't Taking Cara Babies that taught the infant - it was their temperament. The other large portion of parents this doesn't work for should get their money back. As if babies weren't expensive enough. If you really feel it works for all babies, you should have a money-back guarantee option. But you don't - because you know it's normal infants wake every 2-3 hours. I haven't received a refund. These questions below aren't letting me not answer. I would love a refund so please do accomodate.

It's all videos. As a busy parent, it's very difficult to find the time to watch all those videos. Reading would be much easier for me. Disappointed.

I set my hopes too high for this program. Unfortunately it does not work for all babies. My main problem with this program is that is already cost an arm and an leg and then if you have questions or want to talk to someone about what to do when your baby has been crying nonstop for 4.5 hours, you have to pay $70 more. Just overall very frustrating. I feel like this program takes advantage of desperate, sleep-deprived moms :(

First of all you pay a lot and only have access to the material for 6 months. Second I do not recommend taking ANY of the classes. Those classes go straight against the nature of babies and it’s just prying on overtired parents to get their money out of their pockets, instead of offering true support for them. A baby does not need to sleep 5 hours at 5 weeks through the night, this thought is just insane. I wish that parents wouldn’t fall so easy for accounts and courses like this, because there is nothing beneficial for baby or the parent. After I found my peace in how normal infant behavior looks like, we had no issues with sleeping anymore. Because I adapted to her and didn’t try to bend my baby towards my needs. There are a lot of other Programms and classes that focus on babies needs and those finally helped us getting more sleep.

The newborn class really increased my anxiety because it reflects unrealistic expectation of infant sleep. It made me feel like a bad mom when my baby didn’t follow what the class said he “should” do. Please do better!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! This class does NOT work. We bought the newborn class and the full bundle. We followed all of the steps and we did everything she told us to do. We’re weeks in and our 7 month old is still not sleeping more than 3 hours at night. We spent hours all night long using her tactics and letting him cry it out and it’s not getting any better. A huge waste of money!

Hi Samantha, I’m sorry to hear this. I did notice that you didn't make it past the welcome video and a few FAQ videos to the heart of the class. Please know that your newborn class has a completely no-cry approach, so if you're seeing crying all night, this is not what we want for you. Would you email info@takingcarababies.com so that we can help you with next steps?

Ridiculous cost for information that is already available through other sources. There is nothing really innovative to the program. Very disappointed.

Completely useless when you don't swaddle or use a soother. I got all the info I needed from the instagram page so I felt like I wasted money.

I love Cara, but the information included in the newborn seminar just wasn’t helpful. It seems like every parenting influencer has their own take on the five s’s, but it doesn’t make you a genius. As a new parent, my partner and I would have really benefitted from realistic expectations for baby. Maybe the newborn seminar was just bland compared to the others, but I’m not going to pay that ridiculous fee again.
