We bought the nap training course and found it very helpful. Cara teaches in a patient way that encourages and corrects without shaming. There were certain situations that came up for us that we didn't know how to address, so we're trying to figure those out on our own. But for the most part Cara addressed potential concerns for the many potential situations that could come up. We recommend this course!

It’s been two months since I started sleep training my baby and this course helped a lot with weaning night feeds, night time wakings, and falling asleep independently. I wish I had known it for my first. The only thing I can’t solve is early morning wakings. Between 4-6 am is so unpredictable for us. I’ve followed all the information on early morning wakings and nothing seems to keep my baby asleep after 4 am. But it is an improvement from waking every single hour all night long before I did sleep training.

Absolutely life changing as a first time mom! The newborn class helped my husband and I understand sleep and set a good foundation for sleep and the monthly blogs are a wonderful resource as something to reference. Also, Cara's Instagram content is always fun. I talk about Taking Cara Babies to every mom I know and encourage my friends who are pregnant to spend the money to take the newborn course because it is so worth it!!

We are about 2 months into sleep training. We started when baby was 5.5 months. This course does work. Our baby quickly learned to go to sleep on his own and it was great for about a month. The videos are helpful and high quality. 2 months later, our baby is teething and we honestly regret sleep training. Baby is uncomfortable and waking at night wanting comfort. We are too scared to "un-do" all our hard work sleep training by comforting him too much. He screams for hours. We do pop-ins. I lay in bed and cry because "he just wants his mama". He's sad, alone, crying. He knows I'm here, but he knows I won't hold him, cuddle him, nurse him and help comfort him. My husband is frustrated because "we followed all the rules, why is he still crying all night?" And not getting enough sleep before having to work. The hardest part is knowing that if I just went in, picked him up, held and rocked him for 10 minutes, it would all be over. But he's sleep trained. We can't do that in fear of confusing him. I hope it gets better, but as of now... I wish we had never done sleep training.

Loved the classes! I just wish there was an app that I could access my classes. It can be difficult to always have to go to the website especially during late-night feeds when I am trying to listen to the classes. I would definitely recommend creating an app. It seems like the next step.

Overall very good course, puts a lot of newborn schedules into perspective. Better than stabbing in the dark. Also, lots of troubleshooting ideas. SITBACK is very helpful. However, the swaddle and rock to get the baby to nap does not really work. Also, my baby has started rolling onto his belly at 2+ months, which required me to take his arms out of the swaddle. As a result, I have found limited benefits of the swaddle for my situation.

The class is very thorough and gives you good tools to help baby sleep. I don't think you should have to pay for a phone consult if you've taken the class though.

I used Cara's methods with my first born as a baby and she was a pro sleeper. It was a no brainer that when we had a massive, unexpected, uncharacteristic sleep regression at two that i dip into her new Toddler sleep course. We gave it our all and i tried the plan with the support of the email chain to help assist and redirect through our maneuvers. Sadly my daughter did not sleep through the night, but i did obtain some tools and verbiage that has helped us through this tough time. All children and all parents are so different but these sleep changes and regressions are so real. I def suggest all parents give Cara's method a try and please know that the team will take care of you if you feel that this simply wasn't your answer for the best sleep for your family. Their goal is simply to help and support all they can.

The course has been so helpful! The interaction I had via email was nice, but didn’t exactly answer the questions I asked. Overall I will continue to use taking Cara babies for my next baby too!

With my first two kids I had bad PPA. I discovered TCB when my middle son was about 8/9 weeks old and would NOT sleep anywhere independently longer than 30 min. After we implemented TCB method it was a game changer. He actually slept and I got better. My third is now 4 weeks old and we started TCB and again have been loving it! I keep waiting for ppa to start and so far nothing. I know it is because I have been able to get sleep as well as have time for my normal activities while she naps during the day. TCB has been much more than just helping my baby sleep. It has given me the tools I need to actually enjoy the newborn stage rather than just wish it would hurry up and end. I know how to read the cues my daughter is giving me and how to calm her if she gets overstimulated or overtired. I am not someone that tells other people what to do and never give “tips” to new or expecting mom. However, I do tell all my pregnant friends to check out TCB- it literally saved my sanity and restored my quality of life! It really is that good!

The 4-24 month class was very helpful for us. The class for toddlers proved to be less helpful, it didn't cover much about what to do when there is a sibling more than 3 years older sharing the room with the toddler.

Loved the baby class, it was so helpful Took the toddler class as well, unfortunately not quite as helpful. We're still struggling with bed time and we've been consistent, but we have a kid with big feelings and fears, and leaving her at bedtime is very difficult

This collection was very helpful problem solving and providing clarity on how we were supporting our baby to sleep and! How to do pop ins and weaning the night feeding was super useful, as well as transitioning from three naps to two naps. Sometimes we found the videos to be repetitive of simple concepts and wished they would go into more depth, especially if things did not go as suggested (e.g. when baby refuses a nap and it pushes last wake window later, would you still offer a late third nap or do an earlier bedtime? If baby wakes and cries when finished weaning what should you do: offer full feeding, shortened feeding, start weaning again from beginning?) Often times we would go back to review materials, it was great having the attachments all in one place. We would have liked to have the option to read about, as well as, listen to videos on the offered materials. Overall well worth the purchase! Our baby is now a good sleeper and we feel confident helping her when she encounters difficulties.

The newborn class was amazing! But the 3 and 4 month was terrible. And now my 6 month old still doesn’t take naps or sleep through the night even after following these programs. The 3 and 4 month was a waste of money, but definitely recommend the newborn.

TCB on Instagram has been an absolutely brilliant resource. I also purchased the 5-24m package but I couldn't get through it. The resource is all video content. For me, the time I usually get to sneak onto my device is when bubs either feeding or catching a nap and not being able to have the option to read the content I found a real struggle. In an ideal world, it would be great to have video, podcast and a pdf version to cater for all learning styles and more accessible on the go.

This is a difficult review for me to write. I enjoyed Cara's newborn class and felt I got a ton of knowledge from it; however, the techniques are just not working for our baby boy. Our pediatrician says we have a "4th trimester" baby - he was inconsolable for roughly 6 weeks every evening (still has these evenings), he rarely wants to lay flat, it takes me 20-30 minutes to put him down for a nap in which he only sleeps for about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, CRIES doesn't work, he spits his pacifier out, he wants to be held upright and walked constantly. These were all challenges that were never addressed in Cara's newborn class. It is discouraging as a new mom to think the techniques should work as illustrated in the class, but no matter what I do, I'm not successful with them. I reached out to the Taking Cara Babies IG account for words of encouragement and received a reply right away, for which I was very grateful. Cara and her team are very supportive and truly want to see you succeed. Unfortunately, not everyone can be as successful as the comments you see on IG.

It worked, and it was fast! The advice is sound, the options are flexible yet firm and it's great. I found videos a bit long and the tone was too mellow for me. It's a matter of style and taste, so I don't want to go too far, but for us it was almost distracting from the content. I did like that it was videos so I could make my spouse watch them with me and not suddenly become the defender of a method I'm also learning. Good job.
