Took out a 0% balance credit card with Tesco to transfer credit card balance from Chase Bank UK. Accepted for the card which arrived but wouldn’t let me do the balance transfer. Spoke to customer service who said that they had spoken to the payments teams who said that they won’t do transfers from Chase. Nothing in the T’s and C’s that I read before applying for the card mentioning Chase or a clause that would mean that Chase transfers wouldn’t be accepted. Now have a credit card I won’t use and a footprint on my credit record which is stopping me from getting another card with another provider. All they could do was make a complaint on my behalf which can take 12 weeks…..my Chase Credit Card 0% runs out well before then. I spoke to Chase who had no idea why and said they do balance transfers all the time with no issues. I am totally screwed now and Tesco couldn’t care less, just keep saying they don’t allow it despite it not being in their T’s and C’s. I am in the 14 day cooling off period too!

Stay away if you value your credit score. My payment was reversed as something unexpected had gone out of my account on the same day. I received a text message saying the payment would be re attempted ( if it wasn’t for this i would have made the payment straight away) I made sure the money was in my account and it went out on the re attempted. I then found the missed payment was reported to the credit reference agencies. After realising , I made contact with Tesco bank to explain the situation and that I hadn’t wanted to make a double payment, as I assumed the payment was booked to be re attempted, which led me into a false sense of security. The assistant I spoke to was very rude and blunt , stating Tesco bank had done nothing wrong and that they were reporting the account as delinquent after a payment was 15 days late even though the account was now up to date (they chose the 15 day period to re attempted the payment).

Very poor customer service very poor service and if you want to use someone of their product like mobile or credit card the one I have you're gonna be stuck you ll never be able to use it it's gonna be blocked for 2-3 weeks without any reason

Awful experience. Loan declined so I appealed, they had put my income in wrong, so now passed. I signed forms and waited, no money, was then told sorry problem, then sent forms so I re sign. Still no money. After 8 weeks I now get a call to be told I need to do a third application as the computer will not transfer the money to me. Even though I was told Friday a manual payment was being made. The fella actually said it may work next time, May!!!!!! Avoid. FCA complaint now under way.

Having worked for Tesco Bank for more than a year, I genuinely have no complaints. I enjoy earning Clubcard points as I go, and the online banking is simple. I once had a question concerning my credit card, which was promptly and easily resolved. Good, reliable service.
