“The Audiobarn runs appointments so I was in a large room all to myself. The selection of equipment was all ready to go when I arrived and Jack was attentive at first to get me going and then left me the space, time with no distractions to make my selection. He was always just a call away to be on hand to help when I needed. I was listening to four headphones and three amplifiers. It took me between three and four hours to get through them but this time slot seemed to be normal for Audiobarn. I've never had this level of buying experience at any other HiFi shop before. If your looking for the mid to high end HiFi that Audiobarn supply you will get the time and advice to have the confidence you will select the best equipment for your budget.”

“I first heard Audeze LCD3 headphones at a hifi show driven from a Chord Hugo DAC & J River media centre. It was by far the best sound I heard at that show surpassing system costing many times more. i wanted to investigate further & a friend recommended Jack at the Audiobarn. I met Jack and he gave me the opportunity to listen to LCD3s with my Mac Mini ruuning Audirvana into Hugo. Once again the sound was superb so I duly bought the LCD3s from the Audiobarn. I liked there was no pressure selling and Jack provides a relaxed environment where I could decide if this setup were right for me. Jack is great character, knowledable, friendly and really great to talk to. He also stocks a range of interesting high quality equipment. As well as recommended Audiobarn, I would also commend Chord Electronics and Audeze for making such great products at an affordable price: my late night listening has never been better. Great dealer, great products is an excellent combination.”

“Jack was absolutely brilliant having initially visited the Audio barn to get a repair on my 32 year old turntable. He attempted to get it fixed free of charge but unfortunately could not revive it. I was happy to get an updated version and was very impressed. Jack also gave me advise on replacing my amplifier even though I did not buy it from him. He knows his stuff and gives up a lot of his time to help you out - far superior customer service than any other hi-fi shops I have been to. Audio barn will be my 1st stop should I look for any other new audio equipment in the future.”

“I turned up at the Audiobarn and asked to listen to the the Audeze LCD4, Jack was great and sat me down and let me try for 2 hours and suggested a couple of DAC's that would compliment the headphones and cables. I found Jack to be excellent and helpful and is my first choice for and audio equipment.”

“Jack was extremely accommodating when I came in to demo the Clearaudio Concept against the Rega RP6 turntable. After expertly setting everything up with the amp and speakers that I brought in, he was happy to leave me to my own devices (and somewhat eclectic musical taste!) so that I could make my mind up. In the end, the Clearaudio was the clear winner!”

“I discovered The Audiobarn when I was looking for a UK Sennheiser dealer who could pre-order a pair of HD800S headphones for me. Jack was incredibly helpful even though Sennheiser had only just announced their release. Subsequently Jack has helped me to pair the HD800S with a Chord Electronics Hugo TT which sound incredible together. During a later visit I was honoured to be the first UK retail customer to have a demo of the Naim Mu-so QB prior to it's release, I ordered one on the spot. Regardless of your budget you will find the service provided by Jack to be exemplary.”

“The opportunity to listen and evaluate products in a fantastic environment, whilst sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Jack's expertise and knowledge on hi-fi is second to none. Purchased an ATC SCM11, a speaker that still brings a smile every time I listen to it. Great recommendation Jack and thank you. Will be sure to come back for future upgrades.”

“This is the way to buy hi-fi. Relaxed, no pressure (except your own desires!), pleasant surroundings in the countryside, good demonstration room and the knowledgable and enthusistic Jack remains subtly in the background until you've made your mind up.”

“Firstly I liked the setting - although somewhat out of the way it did mean that it was less busy than a high street agent and the large room and high ceiling of the barn was great for testing acoustics. Jack was a delight to deal with - very patient and gave a lot of his time in setting up various arrangements of equipment. Coupled with there never being any pressure to buy meant a very relaxed atmosphere in which to listen and find what suited.”

“I saw the ATC SCM11 speakers listed on eBay. I rang the Audiobarn to discuss compatibility with my Naim Nait XS amp and they were very helpful. Their communication following my winning bid was excellent and I collected the speakers from them one damp foggy afternoon in December. Had a welcome cup of tea whilst I waited for the item to be processed and general chat about hi fi. And now I have the speakers installed and run in I am very happy. Thank you.”

“This is my first purchase from Jack at Audio barn. Old head on young shoulders in my opinion. My interest in a Mutek re-clocker resulted in a loan device immediately, I decided to purchase a black model (the loan was silver) and Jack allowed me to use the loan version until mine arrived. Always kept me updated. Wonderful location, smart looking listening space. Would I use him again? Yes, definitely. Thank you Jack.”

“Jack Satchfield st Audiobarn could not have been more helpful with his highly knowledgeable non-pushy approach to customer service. He supplied me with a Chord 2 Qute and an Auralic Aries Mini to take home on approval with the minimum of fuss. Over a two week period I was able to conclusively conclude that the combination of these two superb products would complement my ATC SCM40s and the rest of my set up perfectly both sonically and aesthetically. Simply superb customer care and products.”

“Jack is always extremely helpful and my experience in buying the Meridian Prime was again a very rewarding one. He allowed me to borrow his demo so that I could be absolutely sure about the product being suitable. I found this an important part of the process in buying what is a fairly substantial investment. The Meridian is a brilliant piece or kit and I think they have a great showcase for their products in the Audio Barn. Jack will always give very professional advice and is never pushy about making a purchase. An unqualified recommendation from me.”
