“We have been a customer for 15 years I reckon, dosn't time fly. We use it twice a year on average, once as a cheap day trip and once when returning from our summer holidays. Good quality products at very affordable prices plus the staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. What more can anyone want!”

“We have been using Calais Wine for the last 8 years. Whilst favourites like Agoston and Hardy's Bin 53 (@£2 a bottle) come and go, Calais Wine have always managed to replace with equivalent £2 wines of similar quality. We are "steady daily wine" drinkers - so we like a reasonably priced wine of good quality to drink regularly !! The "bankable" free Ferry ticket - which you can all off at any time up to 12 months - and then it has usually up to 6 months to use - more than allows us to plan trips twice a year. Lower priced diesel (plan an empty tank) and good French cheese, pate, tart tartin etc from Carrefour make a nice bonus.”

“I enjoy my visits to the Calais Wine Superstore, not only for the great deals on wine but also because of the very friendly, personal welcome and assistance that one receives as soon as I step into the store. I feel that the team put the needs of the customer first and have been extremely considerate during the recent crisis in Calais where some of us tried and failed to reach the store to collect our orders. Well done Team!”

“I would like to come again but having just come back on the tunnel with my wfe would not want to see those thugs again I never felt safe with them trying to Get into thecar and caravan.will not came again until f rance gets rid of them”

“A great selection of wines as usual and some real bargains when buying 6 from £2 per bottle ... Good to see the inclusion of 'Golden Hen' Ale ,could do with some more lager options ,German pilsners ?”

“Great website to pre book or write a list to take with you. The tasting room is a real bonus as you can try before you buy which is great for tasting the wines on offer. Great friendly service too!”

“I have been a customer for s number of years and still find the same excellent value for money. The pricing structure gives new customers a fair comparison against UK prices! Best to buy in bulk as such good buys will invariably be sold out next time. The £99 spend offer again is good value.”

Hi Dave & Di, Thanks for your review, we're delighted to hear you're getting on so well with the team in-store. Actually the situation is quite complicated regarding the purchase of our wines - because most of our stock is sold to us in Sterling, only a small percentage of products are cheaper to buy than they were 12 months ago, and some of the stock is US dollar or Australian dollar based. Having said that, most of our prices on Champagne and sparkling wine have been reduced - for example we have been able to offer reduced prices on all our branded Champagnes like Taittinger at £19,50, Prosecco for only £3.33 a bottle and French sparkling wines like F. Dulac for just £2 each. Amongst our Spanish wines we're offering the Revero range at just £1.29 each and Los Cardillos Spanish varietals from as low as £1.49. You can find some real bargains at The Calais Wine Superstore - recently we've started adding to our range of discounted beers. Hope to see you back in store again soon! The Calais Wine Superstore

“Excellent selection at excellent prices. Haven't tried the new tasting room yet but looking forward to it. We live in southern Spain and can only visit on the rare occasions we drive back to the UK. Deliveries to Spain would be useful, and I think very good for your business. There are thousands of British ex-pats in this area, from the Valencia region to Malaga. I'm sure you could fill a lorry and get it to deliver all down the Costas. Most delivery companies here don't deliver to households, they demand the recipient comes to a central location. Please consider it, otherwise we'll see you in March 2016. Best wishes, Mike Witherspoon”

It would certainly be a fantastic addition to our customer base to be able to add the British ex-pat community in Europe - we'll look into the logistics of sending orders to addresses in Spain, but suspect we may find that the issue of weight will make total prices uncompetitive. “All ways 1st class service. On arrival all our 'bit's are on a pallet, in and out in lass that 1/2 and hour. Booking a return train trip easy. Been a regular customer for many years. Select at home, means no 'trudging around supermarkets' in Calais.”
