“A fantastic enterprise. Superb service, extremely friendly and welcoming staff. I have been using Calais Wine for many years now, in fact since they started up. They have never let me down. Their prices are fabulous as are the wines. The new website is a great improvement. Well done Calais Wine, long may it continue.”

“I cannot praise the service at Calais Wine Superstore enough. As a regular customer, the booking procedure for the Tunnel, the pick up and the administration are all first rate. Add to that the amazing selection of top class wines with huge savings over UK prices and this is an outright winner. Tremendous and I will be back again when my wine cellar needs topping up.”

“We arrived near to closing time on Saturday due to a delay with our journey from Paris. We found the warehouse well stocked and clean with really helpful staff, who did not try to hurry us along at all. As my son has moved to Paris for his degree placement year, I expect we will be visiting again before long. Well recommended!”

“My wife and I have been coming over to The Calais Wine Superstore on Booze Cruises at least three times a year for many years now and we have enjoyed ever trip. The variety of wines is immense; the prices are amazingly cheap and the service we get from the whole Team is tremendous. And on top of all that you book and pay for our return Ferry or Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. It’s a win-win situation. One thing is however starting to worry us is that as we usually pay in Euros with our Saga credit card, your prices have gone up considerably recently. For instance, your “Banrock Station Shiraz Mataro” was €3.74 per bottle last November and is now €4.19 – that’s a 12% increase and although it doesn’t cost us any extra when converted to pounds sterling, we are not getting any benefit at all from the improving currency conversion rate. [As another example, how can you justify the price of “Lombard Brut - Epérnay - Multi-buy” going from €18.74 to €20.99 in just a few months? To me, that's just not cricket! ].”

“Have been a customer at Calais Wine store for about 5 years now and find the experience very good. There are good value offers regularly which makes it worth a trip. The shop & staff are always welcoming & nothing is too much trouble. The only negative I have had over this period was the purchase of several boxes of half bottles of Cono Sur earlier this year. I have lost several bottles due to the corks not coming out successfully. As it is sparkling wine it all flows over the top when the cork breaks up. If I push the cork into the wine it goes flat immediately! That said, I will be returning soon!”

“Can't recommend these guys and girls more highly. Been there three times, each time taking advantage of their free travel offer, so have bought quite a few bottles from them. Each time the process was simplicity itself, with knowledgeable and helpful staff. If you fancy a free day trip to France plus saving considerable amounts of money on UK prices, then give them a try.”

“The only reason it did not get very good is that you find a good wine that you like at a good price. You then go back and next time that wine is not in stock. However the tasting room does now help to assist in chosing a good replacement. Their choice of beer could be better as it is a little limited. Apart from this everything else is very good.”

To offer the special prices that we do, It's often because we have negotiated a special one-off deal with suppliers - hence owing to the popularity of those wines, they can go out of stock quite quickly. “The staff are great I have done a couple of pre orders beforehand and they have been done and ready to collect when I have arrived. I do love the new tasting room I think that this is a brilliant idea I buy more wine after I have used the tasting room! I haven't used the free offer as I haven't quite reached the limits but again it's an excellent idea. They have most varieties of wine I just wish you stocked more white Zinfandel!! A big thankyou to all the staff for your help and kindness”
