“We always enjoy our visits to Calais Wine store. We pre-order, and get a free tunnel crossing. Our order is always ready, but we generally end up buying more after we have sampled some of the great wines which are available for tasting. “Very responsive to our last minute call to book a trip. All sorted efficiently and trolley awaited our arrival. One out of stock was advised well in advance. Tasting room worked well and when we wanted to try a wine that was not available Craig happily opened a bottle for us to try - unlike a nearby competitor! Very pleased with the service.”

“It is so easy to shop at the Calais Wine Superstore! The on-line shop is simple to use and it's clear what quantities the wines are sold in! On arrival your order is ready on a trolley so you could be in and out in less than 10 minutes! The superstore is conveniently located within a 10 minute drive of the Eurotunnel so you could arrive, collect and be back on a train within an hour!! The free Eurotunnel crossing for orders over £300 makes it worth the journey, especially if you're having a large party! The wines are exceptionally good for the price as well!”

“Absolutely fantastic service from Calais Wine! We had spent over £300 so used the free Channel Tunnel crossing offer and I can't wait to use it again. When we arrived, our order was ready and waiting to collect. We wanted to add more items after being able to try stuff we'd seen online in the fab tasting station. The staff helped us find items as we couldn't find what we were looking for. They even offered to help us out to the car after we'd paid. Unfortunately, one of the boxes broke as we were loading the car and a bottle of wine smashed in the car park. Staff were straight out to help clear up and replaced the broken bottle. I didn't expect it to be replaced as it was my fault, but they didn't hesitate. Overall, the staff do an amazing job and are so friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be recommending to friends and will be using the service again!”

“We have been using your website for a number of years now and find this one rather more annoying to use. It did not give us the choice of collection dates but assumed that we were collecting the wine on the same day that we placed the order. Thus the need to send an email with these details. We also liked the 'at a glance ' totalling of the savings comparison on the old site. However, having said this we always get a great service from you and look forward to our trip at the weekend”

In fact you have highlighted an issue that the web developers have been working on regarding the calendar dates for collection and we expect this will be easier to use very shortly. “New tasting room very nicely set out. We pre-booked our order and felt we got very good value for money good quality wines for Christmas. Many of our friends seem worried about the immigrant problem in Calais but we have reassured many of them that using the ferry especially with a free crossing is still a good day out. See you again in a few months time.”

“We have used CWS for a number of years. They offer a wide range of choice and are 100% reliable on travel arrangements and at the point of service in Calais. Equally they offer tremendous savings on the wine against the same product sold in the UK. Great service also.”

“The team at the store provided vey hood service and in particular with the problems of the Eurotunnel timetable disruption. They even managed to rearrange our return journey whilst we were paying in the store. More power to them. I will keep coming when ever I can.”

“Great place to try the wine before you buy, we find taking bread sticks or similar, while trying the wine otherwise your mouth can dry up a bit especially with the reds.”

“I am a regular visitor and was greeted with a cheery hello as soon as I walked through the doors. My pre-ordered trolley was ready and waiting. With time to spare we wondered around and tried new lines in the tasting room. You have clearly been listening to feedback as there were plenty of clean wine glasses and the worksurfaces were being freshly cleaned. After tasting a couple of wines we added to our order. The customer before me was trying to buy half the store, so a new till was quickly opened and we were served with the usual smile and courteousness.”

“We have been using Calais Wine Superstore for some years now and these guys never disappoint. They deliver a first class service with excellent choices of good value wines at ridiculously low prices. We don't go there to buy expensive wines (although you can if you want to)---we enjoy the well known names at fabulous prices. One example from our recent trip there last week is the Casillio del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile which Asda has just reduced from £8 to £5 a bottle---Calais Wine are selling it at £2.99, a saving of 40% on Asda's reduced price! Nothing is too much trouble for these guys and they are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and also help pack your car! Thoroughly recommended! Martin”

“my pre- order was ready for me on arrival, trollied up ready to go. I then made further changes, added to and removed other lines. This was done for me by the assistant. I collected the full order later in the day before boarding at the ferry terminal. All went very smoothly. As for the quality of the wine, well they were my choices and so far so good”

“First time visitor and was a little apprehensive about the trip. Need not have worried as finding the store from the Euro Tunnel was very easy. Once at the store the order was ready. The guys there where very helpful and also knew their wine. Definately recommend the experience to anyone and will be visiting again. Thanks!”

“I pre-ordered and as usual it was already when I arrived. The staff are always very helpful and if the company, on the rare occasion, have run out a specific wine then their recommend replacement is very acceptable. Would certainly recommend Calais Wine Store to others.”
