I have zero faith that my equipment went through proper testing. After 11 days I received an email from a tech, not my issue, that’s totally fine, I know things take time. In the email he explained that he tested my “DME” and couldn’t duplicate any of my issues along with an attached video of him doing that test. I immediately felt like there had been a misunderstanding. I did send my DME but only because of the instructions for sending in my FEM to be tested. I sent several emails, and in their defense I sent several because I was freaking out trying to let somebody know there may have been a mistake BEFORE they package and send my equipment back. I did get an email back and also a phone call pretty quickly and kudos for that. I explained my concern to the guy and he said he “felt confident” that they actually DID actually check my FEM module but typed “DME” in my email in mistake. He said “they usually test them together” I then explained that the video that I got, showed “unique customer number” tags on the equipment that DID NOT match the “unique customer number” that I was advised to attach to my order. The number was completely different in the video I received and showed a test being done with the guy getting out of the car and showing the DME under the hood. The guy on the phone said “oh yeah that number on the equipment changes sometimes when the tech gets the equipment” WHAT?? Why on earth would they be so adamant in expressing the importance of displaying your “unique customer number” so there isnt any mixed up equipment and then just apply a completely different number to your equipment when they get it. My number was 31138, the number on the equipment in the video I received was 41113. Make this make sense. I feel like they EITHER tested the wrong piece of equipment I sent OR the video that every customer gets is a copy/paste video that gets put on every email that goes to customers. This is not a accusation, this is just the feeling I got from this. Maybe they did test all my equipment, I really have zero way to prove it was or was not tested but I do know that the scenario I experienced left me completely unsure if I can eliminate this problem from the issue I’m having with my car. So I’m left having to pay another fee with another organization so I can reliably eliminate a bad/good FEM module from troubleshooting the issue with my car. Keep in mind I am NOT claiming that my equipment WAS NOT tested. I’m am saying that how this scenario played out for me, I could NOT walk away feeling confident that my FEM module is not my problem. I don’t know how this goes as a company from behind the scenes. I know this is a day in and day out everyday thing for these guys, but for me this was the first time I’ve ever had to do this and my experience was not good. I don’t know why the equipment ID numbers in the video don’t match the number the customer is given, I’m SURE they have a legit and important reason why that is done, but as a customer I can say it removed all confidence that my equipment was tested correctly. I’m not writing this to warn future customers away from this service, from what I can tell these guys are very good at what they do, but more as insight that this process does not leave the customer feeling confident they got what they paid for. I felt like the price was fair, the completion/return time process was fair, but that ID number and that email verbiage , not so sure about that. Troubleshooting these cars is riddled with uncertainty to begin with and this experience didn’t help me with that.

Very disappointing experieince. If you have a MB ecu don't bother to send it for repairs they won't do it and they know that with a great deal of certainty before you send it in and are hoping to push you to their very over priced replacement. They claim they opened mine to see the problem and I can say with certainty they did not. Why wouldn't they take a picture for everyones benefit to document they actually opened the unit. This is part of their response to me when I questioned what they did.."you're welcome to find any other shop that would attempt to repair the capacitor damage, but again, anyone who has actual experience with these units will tell you that they are beyond repair" There are better vendors out there.

Only did a brief test for basic functionality of ECU. Missed the actual problems that were confirmed by a different ECU service. Still charged for it with no recourse. Avoid this company.

Very bad service. I mistakenly paid for a 30-minute service. I called because it was a mistake, and without even processing the payment, they charged me $30. Scammers!

Minimal work performed to diagnose faulty DME. According to video, they installed my DME in one of their cars, revved the engine a couple times and called it good. BEFORE testing, I told them that it was an issue under load-accelerating, driving up hills.I finally verified it was the DME by installing a known good one. They apparently didn't even drive it. Now after 60 days they will not even respond to my emails. A waste of my money and time

I needed to have my ECU tested and if it was bad, site showed 1 available for purchase for $1499. After I paid $399 for test, I learned from my mechanic it had water damage. I called and informed ECU PRO of this. I was then told that they had no ECU available to fit my 2010 MB G55, despite what the web site showed on the searchers end. The only other option I had at this time was to cancel the order and request a refund. When processing the refund, ECU PRO took out $30 refund/penalty fee, even though there was no service rendered, nor any item purchased. I didn't read anything about this refund penalty prior to paying, even though the site specifically showed there was one Engine Control Unit available. Nothing here was my fault as this site put out info that was incorrect. ECU Pro penalize me $30 for NOT helping me in any way. This is very unprofessional and I have a letter here to be sent to your local BBB in PA, as well as a draft for Yelp and Google (as well as any other organization in your state I can find). I haven't sent these letters off yet, but if I will notified them all should the need be.Thank you for your time in this matter. Bob Degitz I believe the Order number (Unique number) #24516

Company is extremely poor at communication. I shipped my unit for repair. It was simply shipped back, unserviced, not information as regards why. Had to make calls for more details. I thought notes could've accompanied the return shipment. ECU pro can do better than that.

I paid for a testing of my 2008 BMW e60 535i DME and CAS. When I sent the initial request I indicated that I had a 30a error in the DME. I also requested that a second key be mated to the CAS. You indicated that your testing did not find the internal errors that I found in the DME were not found! DME was returned to me and I plugged in the DME & CAS and to my shock the car ran as it did before. Cylinders 4, 5 & 6 (group 2) injectors were not being activated. Please tell me how this is acceptable!

I called first and told y’all the problem and yall said to send it and we take care of it. I sent it and got charged another 150 for bench testing when the pins are missing in the ecm. Them tell me the supplier is out. What a joke lost all my business.

I felt scammed. I was told it would cost $159 to look at and repair my ecu. I was then told I had a leaking capacitor and damage to the circuit board, so it would now cost $1,500.00. Upon return of the ECU I found it had never been opened and looked at, and they sent a letter saying there was nothing wrong with it. Look on ebay for an honest 5 star rated repair or replacement.

I paid over $500 and they sent one of the units back on tested and told me. It's because they're Tech didn't read the email. I made several phone calls and they made no effort to rectify the situation ,very poor service..

I attempted to get my 2004 R53 EWS repaired with ECU Pro. It was a failure. Details: The car would not start with existing key that contained a new battery. Sent in Key, EWS, and computer for motor. I followed all instructions. After 2 weeks I called as I had not heard anything. The lady that answered with super polite and helpful...she shared that the team was behind, but was get to my parts in a few days. No issue for me...progress. I received a note saying that my key was the issue and that it would be fixed...I was given the option to purchase another key and I did. Paid additional fee and got parts back. Plugged in all parts and again followed all instructions and car is doing the same thing...not starting. I have confirmed that 12.6 volts is at the EWS when trying to start the car. Confirmed starter is good...power is not getting to solenoid. I am out $299, shipping, and the cost of a new key. The note I got back now claims that to get further testing done it is $75.00. I am going to pass and pursue other options. Because I have used these guys twice and got the same outcome. I would recommend another vendor. If I find there is another issue, I will review again and change review; however, right now, I am not pleased.
