“Good products, great customer service. They called to advise when part of the order was out of stock and suggested an alternative. Only downside was speed of delivery - too used to next day now!”

“Great selection of flies - could do with some work on the website which not easiest to navigate looking for specific patterns, but overall great service and would recommend. If a particular fly is not in stock and forms part of an order, they do not dispatch until the order is complete which can cause delays if they are waiting for manufacturer to supply. Sending out part orders would increase (their) costs but can be frustrating if order is urgent.”

“ordered a spool of thread , the package arrived , however , the thread had been removed during transit so no thread in package .contacted the company and sent pics of the package , however no replacement or refund was sent . Was contacted in due course and my issue dealt with very proffesionally .All in all very good service .”

Hello, Following your original order PO133286 which you informed us was received but empty a replacement was issued under PO133418. Following this replacement being sent on the 17/7/23 Royal Mail advised it was delivered on 19/7/23 at 11:06am. Our customer service team were in communication with you about this and after you confirmed that you had not received it we then on the 28/7/23 issued you a £5 voucher to use against a future purchase. Not only did we re-issue your order but provided a voucher when the replacement was advised as not received. As a valued customer since 2010 and this being the first instance of any issue I do hope that you will continue to work with us as we value every customer and will do our best to resolve any issues which arise. “I have ordered flies from Essential Fly for several years and have always found them of the highest quality. My only caveat has been on the last two occasions when ordering a number of flies, the entire order has been delayed by weeks not days due to the unavailability of one selection - resulting in their arrival after the the date required. As a constructive point I would cheerfully pay to receive the bulk of the order earlier with the the remainder to follow.”

“I have no issue with The Essental Fly in terms of their goods & service. However the order was dispatched on 23rd January & I have not yet received it on 6th February. This is because Essential Fly use Royal Mail which is then delivered in Ireland by An Post. This is a very inefficient way to get goods to Ireland from the UK. I would much prefer that they used another courier !!!”
