The reviews sum it up very clearly to the point that I don't need to really add much more. They clearly fake their google reviews (illegal) just to top it off. This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I hope for everyone else's benefit that they go bankrupt. Shame on you lettinghub. I would actively avoid any rental that associates with these guys.

I am sick and tired of this company, we’ve sent all the financial info several times over, given access to our bank account numerous times (against my better judgment) and still they send messages asking for more information, but helpfully don’t tell you what the want! You try ringing them, or emailing or live chat …. No response! It’s supposed to be a stress free service, what a joke, I still don’t know what they want from me and guess what, I kinda don’t care now, I’ve gone back to the estate agent and they are sorting it

The most awful service. Totally unprofessional and it takes them ages to verify documents. Provide you with incorrect information and requests. Highly unrecommended.

Absolutely terrible. Long process, lie and don't tell you what the issue is. Contact your letting agency immediately and hope for the best.

Avoid!!!!!!!!! If it's letting hub, don't deal with them. They close your case and lie to you when you are calling them for details. I don't know how they are qualified to run a business in the market.

This is the worst letting reference company. Any agency using this, and you somehow ended up with them in the process of renting your new home, it’s best to just cancel your application to avoid wasting your time and incessantly repeating the same information over and over again. Read the previous one star reviews, they are quite accurate and our experience reflected the incompetence exhibited by the Lettings Hub. Although renting as a couple, my wife and I had to apply and submit documents and references separately. We have a joint bank account. Apparently they cannot cross-reference any of this and the same bank statement(s) are required to be uploaded by both of us. I have been asked fewer questions and provided less documentation for mortgages in the past. Our previous landlord reference checks was a masterclass in incompetence by the Lettings Hub. Although we both provided an email and a reference letter provided by our landlord, the Lettings Hub insisted on phoning the landlord. They had all the info on our landlord including where he lived (West coast of North America). So what time do they phone to speak with him? 9am and 11am UK time. That makes it 1am and 3am in the morning. They wondered why he would not answer… Overall it took 17 days for the referencing checks to be completed. I understand that depending on what letting agency you are using you may not have a choice of who conducts your reference checks. If given a choice I would certainly avoid the Lettings Hub.

Such an extremely prescriptive view, narrow minded use of people. All people have to fit into a full time job and provide a plethora of paperwork to prove this. If you do not have one piece of paperwork you may be denied. I went straight through these checks as I am considered ‘normal’ with a permanent contact. However if you do not fit into this very prescriptive narrative you will NOT pass reference checks. My partner works in film which is contract work, he earns over 75,000 per year. The lettings hub would not accept this type of work or references for this at all. That means if you are temping, contract work, self employed mark my words your will have serious trouble with these idiots. What a horrendous way to try and make people conform into one little way of living a life. By the way if you do work in one of these industries which many of us do they will ask you to show you have savings to pay the full rent - in our case this was 46,000. If you cannot show this, you cannot proceed. Lettings hub you really need to change your way of working it is horrible, narrow minded and prescriptive. It’s almost laughable that you are stopping hardworking people who do not fit into this ridiculous narrative from having a home despite them earning a high salary. People do not and will not fit into little boxes which you subscribe, allow for human difference. God forbid you are student in this process. Letting agents- unsure why you use this hideous service. Such a cause of anxiety and upset just because you have a job which is not ‘permanent’. It actually makes me sad about the way of the world and that companies like this are trying to make us quite literally into one type of human. Quite frankly it’s frightening this is allowed. No wonder we have such a homeless problem.

After 2 weeks of back and forth over a rental, the agent told me the Lettings Hub declined my application., She could not tell me why. I called the Lettings Hub, calling from South Africa its GBP1 per minute and I called 11 times and was on hold for up to 8-10 minutes EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! After calling daily to check that what the agent had said was being done was in fact being done, and after being lied to constantly...yes we found that company, yes the applicaiton is fine, yes we are approving it, no we do not give the agency a yes or no decision. what LIES!!!!! THE AGENCY USES THE LETTINGS HUB APPROVAL OR DELCINE TO PLACE OR NOT PLACE TENANTS!!!! Finally I spoke to a manager Lauren who told me it was declined because my new boss the company owner who gave his reference had used his hotmail.uk email account and that he had a new company opened in April 2021. I stated I was working for his old company opened 10 years ago. The estate agent even confirmed that she found all 3 of his companies on Companies House dating back 10 years. This manager Lauren then told me she would review all the documents with the processing manager again and get it changed to approved because what I had told her made sense. I then called the agent only to be told the lettings hub had told them to change it if they wanted to which the agents cannot do. After being an estate agent for 21 years I am APPALLED, DISGUSTED AND HORRIFIED that this kind of inept, rude service with blatant incompetence and lies exists within such a country. We arrive there in 3 weeks and are homeless thanks to the useless staff in this pathetic company!!!!!!!! And I see form just the last weeks reviews that I am not the only one feeling this way!!!!!!

It took them over two weeks to review my papers and eve that wasn't enough , asked for extra information that was irrelevant to the process. I am surprised they didn't want to know how I sleep at night. Unhelpful and rude customer service was provided almost every time I called. Asked to access my bank accounts and savings which I do not know if appropriate?

Worst reference providers ever, using outdated methodologies that are not fit to modern reality and asking your colleagues to breach GDPR requirements. I was very dissapointed by the experience with them and after my move from Hong Kong, where such providers are always to try to find the smart solution. Their processes are not adapted to work with work from home environment of your referents, neither they are adapted to big companies reality. For one week they were calling Lisbon number of my company while the referee was clearly stated as based in London. Waste of time and big image loss for reputable companies like Savill's who use them. Do not recommend.

am acting as guarantor for my daughter. I have done this for 4 years through accommodation whilst she was at Uni. Never have I dealt with such an inapt organisation. endless emails for more information. One question,how long have you lived at you present address 34 years what day and date did you move in. at the address before that what day and date did you leave and what date did you move into that address. All shear madness. A very low tech Company

We were told that the whole process takes 2-4 hours after everything is uploaded. It has been 2 weeks now and they asked for extra documents - job contract. Most likely will take another 2 weeks to review that. And they said that they might not be able to review it by the move in date. Would not recommend because it takes veeeery long time to get approved. My application process is fine but partner has a headache. We are due to move in in few days and each day we call them they say we dont know, we cant help, provide us this, provide us that and when all is provided they say that sorry but we have not received anything. We sent them by email, upload it on site, even letting agent sent them our documents but they keep telling that we do not have anything and you just need to wait and nothing is their problem. Would never recommend to anyone. I guess you can use it if you move in date is 3-4 months from the day you open lettingshub. Otherwise you will have a stressful time.

I have been a tenant, a houseowner and a landlord at various points, so I know how processes should go. I recently moved to be closer to family and decided to rent until I got to know the area better and uploaded everything that Lettingshub asked for as soon as it was asked for. Job done I thought. How wrong I was! Endless issues regarding job contracts, demands to upload more info (which had already been uploaded), telling me that my employer hadn't provided a reference when I was cc'd on the email they sent to LettingsHub with that reference. Emails sying things were completed, followed by emails the next day saying that I hadn't sent the things they said they had completed actions on. Extremely long waits to verify other references. Rude emails when I explained to them the issues on their side. If I ever rent again, I will make sure that it is with an agency that doesn't use these muppets for checking details.

“We make renting easy” : this is how they describe themselves on Instagram. The technology seems to be their best bet. THIS is all FALSE. The tech used is just a website with a bunch of forms. Real technology gets reference checks done in 1 day, not one month. UNBELIEVABLE! Having said this, Lettings Hub is so unprofessional. I uploaded my documents and everything; the portal says all checks completed. I try to contact them, and every time someone tells me, “we don't have your references yet”, and they ask me to upload them again. I have sent my references via the portal and email, but the colleagues at lettings hub don't communicate with each other. My tenancy start date already passed, but they don't care...not even a bit. I'm now homeless because these incompetent people can't read an email from my employer N.B. If you have many applications to handle, don't get more applications, we tenants don't care about how busy you are. It's been a month behind this silly thing and you have all my reference documents. Apparently they just want to make money without taking care of their customers. I see people writing good reviews here... well maybe you were just lucky, maybe someone decided to read your references as they should.

Appalling. Ridiculous amount of due diligence for a student rental. As a guarantor have asked for 2 years data from my bank account, 3 payslips, copy of my employment contract and a reference from my employer when the rent liability is only 7200 GBP for the entire term of the contract. AND no one picks up the phone!
