The actual alterations were well done. This was a shortening of curtains(eyelets.) I had left the curtains, prior to a week away. Pick up was delayed. On my return14/08,I received a telephone message with a request that morning to call zipyard as the required measurement was not recorded clearly.! This was on due pick up day.I had to make two journeys to your shop, to clarify m ments and ask for completion that day! Work done. My query.. why did it take a full week to realise this prob? Also it delayed completion of our decorating. Sorry, but no way to give efficient service and no compensation offered!! Prob will look elsewhere next time.

The female staff are very good but the prices here are unrealistically high. I won't be using them again now as there are so many other good sewing establishments for a fraction of the price. Rip off !!!

Although your representatives were friendly, I can't work out why it would take 10 days to take up a pair of jeans. As well as this, the jeans have been cut shorter than requested which is extremely negligent. I called the shop to discuss my concerns and they were rather vague simply saying, brinv them in. Very disappointed.

The lining of the curtains which you took up are now longer than the curtains. However, I can live with it as they are pulled back on tie-backs and do not show too much. Not ideal though.

Sent in two pairs of trousers to be cleaned only one pair came back had too wait a couple more days until they found them

Lost my husbands trousers and it was nearly two days before they found them I had to keep phoning although the staff said they would phone me back.

Hi Rosemary, sorry about that. In this rare occasion one of the trousers fell off the hanger at our dry cleaning base and never made it back on the first run. Sorry for the two day wait. We look forward to seeing you again soon at the ZipYard

I asked for a Summer Weight Duvet to be reduced from 5ft to 4'6". The Machinist evidently did not understand the order and cut the Duvet to measure 3'. Had the Duvet been new I would have expected to have had it replaced, instead I reluctantly accepted the cut off piece to be restitched on to the correct size. I was then told it would be ready on a certain day - this did not happen and eventually the duvet was returned by post. All in all this was not good enough.

HI Penelope, thank you for your comments. I believe our owner has contacted you directly regarding your duvet. Unfortunately the measurement for your duvet was recorded incorrectly on the receipt which both yourself and the seamstress missed which caused the error and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We hope to see you in our shop again soon.

Than you Gloria and I very pleased you were happy with the quality work carried out on your double layered dress we shortened. I'm surprised by your comment that you thought it was overpriced as you went ahead with the service anyway by our highly skilled seamstress. We look forward to seeing you in our shop again soon.

I brought my sirk for alteration and it was messed up. A diferent colour iof material used to alter looks very untidy. I was really angry and disapointed with Zipyard.

I am unable to advise on the situation on the skirt as the shop is now under new management and staff as of January 2016. I hope you will give us and the new team here a new chance and see the improvements in service for yourself. Thank you

I had a lovely Betty Jackson suit, lost some weight so went to get suit alerted for an interview . Was a bit expensive £80 but I really loved that suit. I got measured and was told to come back in a week when I came back it was just bits of fabric. After paying £80 I would expect a good service and to come pick it up . Was very stressful didn't even get money off for my troubles. Was told it was a hard job to do . I wouldn't bring anything back to them . Had to wait another 3 days and still wasn't the best fit but I needed it for my interview the next day.

Seamstress skills are good. No problems at all. Ready on time too. But... They lost a belt off a Karen Millen coat. No contact or apologies. Rather defeated the object of having a zip replaced in an attempt to get one more season out of an expensive winter coat... without a belt ...

Very happy with the quality of the alterations, but the customer service was lacking. Receptionist is very brusque. Paid for garment to be dry cleaned, but it had not been sent when I went to collect it. This caused a delay.

I gave you my dress to be altered. Wasted my money. Paid £69 for nothing, even though the dress had bones and cups, you shouldn't have tried to alter it, but you did. I was so disappointed as this was supposed to be my mother of the bride dress????

If I compare with others yours meterial quality is very bad and prize to high and will take more days

Hi Robin, when you gave us your garments for alteration you agreed the price and collection date. You did not have to go ahead if you didn't want to.

I came in the shop the owner was there, I took in two pairs of trousers for new zips and a button on both with a button hole. On picking up the trousers after paying£36.90 to find they had put new zips In both but two buttons and button holes in only one pair. I than got told I had only paid for one. If I wanted to leave them and paid again I could have the other done the trousers only needed one in each so no I sm not happy it's not cheap so you think it would be done right first time. Looking at my receipt it say under 2 units so it's mean 2. So I think from my experience I will not be coming back thank you
